Lynyrd Skynyrd!!!!!-now you're talking real good old Southern Rock:D

Music that just goes with the figures I collect ;)

Bob

Bob they were brilliant, love their MCA album and there is some great youtube footage, but that whistle test Freebird blew me away in 1970 something so I had to get the dvd.

I really do love that kind of rock music.

I forgot about Southern Rock but of course not from the UK, bands that do it:

1. Lynyrd Skynyrd
2. Marshall Tucker
3. Molly Hatchet
4. 38 Special
5. Blackfoot
6. Cant forget Charlie Daniels, he influenced them and crossed all musical genre!

Thanks for that- I can just beat Kevin on the list-must be the Reb in me- Marshall Tucker Band is with LS my all time favorite.

Tony Caldwell's vocals on "Can't You See" even today sends tingles down one's spine-Sadly I believed he died sometime in the 90's?

Here's a story for you that track "Can't You See" was used as the music for a British TV advertisement for Nestle Double Cream Chocolate Bar a couple of years back-and hell! because of that darn music I actually bought a bar-Nothing wrong with that except I don't like chocolate-never have-the power of music especially the music of that band :D

What is this about Simon buying - an urban myth?

Yes,very much the same as the women giving the old lady a lift home along dark and lonely country roads, only to find an axe in the car when she'd gone,it never happened!!!;)

Promised many times-never delivered:(

Gentlemen,

Of course I would be delighted to buy you all a drink, with 2 caveats.

Firstly, you actually need to make it to the show to facilitate the liquid transaction, and

Secondly, it will be neccessary for me to prise Rob's card out of Clives steel like grip, in order for me to fund this novel and entertaining idea.
