Bored Tonight...Post a Diorama, LOL (5 Viewers)

Bonny, bonny, bonny. These are examples of the kind of quality I'm going to try and emulate during my next rotational days off duty.
:):)

Thanks for the kind words - it is great when you and some of the other guys are pitching in. Please keep posting.

Eeeeeouch! That would be a good one for those 'Are you tough enough for the SAS' type programmes. A fortnight in the Beacons followed by a full chest wax.

I'll try and get some generic foam bases done so I can start messing around some more.

Simon

C'mon Simon, stop slouching.

Random shot in context, to tide over until the next dispatches....

Cheers peeps. Yes, both repainted Del Prados. :)

The only thing I would add is you should try to employ Kevin's (panda1gen) trick of putting some grass, bushes or rocks in front of the feet of the figures to disguise the stands. If you did that photo would pass for real.

Thanks Louis. I'm just breaking in to various foilage packs, dead fall etc. and am messing about with both set ups and camera settings (need to get a better camera). Kevin's work, both dios and photos is a target to aim for. A high target, but a target. :)

Simon you may want to check out the specs of the camera I have. I've been very pleased with it and haven't yet figured out all the operations and operating functions of it. Here's the site http://photo.net/equipment/hp/r707 for the money and it's much cheaper than when I purchased mine it's a great camera and I'm sure you'll be impressed by it's rating. By the way and I'm sure he'll agree your well on your way to achieving the quality of photos being provided by the panda1gen.......The Lt.

Thanks for the link and comments. The proof in the camera, is the quality of the pictures you post here on the forum.

Well, I have a birthday coming up soon, plus Christmas, so I might have to give up the oportunity of receiving a set or two of figures and getting a camera sorted instead.

Cheers
Simon

Simon, great shot, when I first looked at it, I thought it was real, love the BOB series, Mike:)

Thanks Mike. I'm in the process of scraping and carving bits out of pink foam to get a couple of different style boards together, so I'll see if I can improve my camera skills and set ups.

Simon,

Must see if I can lay my mitts on some of this "pink foam" that you guy's use. Is it a bit like that white stuff that's used for packing boxes? Expanded polystyrene I think its called.
LOL at your photos and story line.....Pretty good and also tres funny.....Thanks for posting mate. That's what I believe this wonderful hobby is all about - having lots of fun.!!!!!

H,

Having fun? - Always.

Best of luck on the pink foam front. It seems to be at every hardware shop in the States, but I've only found one place that does it in the UK. Dunno why, I guess our construction industry uses different materials.

It's the same sort of stuff as the white polystyrene, except much denser, which means that when you start hacking in to it, you don't end up with a room looking like the inside of one of those glass snow scenes.

Firebat, good to see you posting again, nice dio, hope all is well. I was admiring your foliage, what do you use?

Simon, very flattering, I'm happy to move over anytime. Please keep posting.

I might start calling you the 'Backdrop King' though, the way you have used them in the last few shots is fantastic. What superb ideas, inspiring.

I remember a really good backdrop from Bricoleur, I think, of the Bulge? How do you obtain these differing designs? The paras are just brilliant!

Right up there with the 'Awesome Lt'. Joe, don't you just love competition!!!:D:D:D Some old 'uns that I recently shrank....

Kevin I sure do it's providing all of us with some great photos and they're worth more than a thousand words and it's a great way to start of the day by reviewing them. Have you decided to use photobucket yet? If so looking forward to the first batch of photos headed our way. Hope all's well at your end and Simon looking forward to what's next on the way from your end. I'm hoping that those attending the "Big Show" will bring along their cameras and take photos of the diroramas that are set up by all the makers it'll make us feel that we've also atteded.... Enjoy your day.......The Lt.
