Cataloging Trophy Boxers (1 Viewer)

Think he's getting out of Trophy and probably focusing more on K & C.

And I'm watching them. Seems to be selling a lot for a fellow who just got into Trophy. I got an "Abandon the Hospital" set from him a few weeks ago.

Dave

Well done Dave, that is a great set:salute::

Cheers

Brad,
I'm not getting out of Trophy completely as I have many items I will be keeping...though I do admit there has been more K&C gloss presented to me lately and funding through the sale of other items is helpful. I keep telling myself I need to reduce the overall amount of stuff I have but it just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Finally found a few sets that I have been looking for - Indian Army Artillery and BS15 Indian Army. Also found another mounted Boxer

Very nice Lawrence :salute::

I have EQ47 Indian Artillery Gun Battery in the Blue uniform for the NWF

Cheers

Martyn:)

Thanks Brad, Martyn and Dave for the kind words. :smile2: The artillery set was an unexpected find at the show as I had the NWF version which somehow came in a box marked for the Boxer series, so I am happy to have the correct set in its correct box. Picked-up the mounted Boxer as it had a different uniformed Boxer and the colours of the flag differed. The Indian Army figure came from a fellow collector and helped fill in a gap. Having a fun time finding this stuff. Only wish I had enough time and space to play with them....

Newest addition to the collection. Believe the set belongs in the Boxer series as the figures have gray bases. They could be the 7th Rajputs, but don't know the set number.

Great finds Lawrence. I have a set similar to this but all in light Khaki and have a yellow badge on their khaki turbans.

Hi Lawrence

Looks like they are set# NWF5 - THE CORPS OF GUIDES - THE FIRING LINE

They were issued in the THE NORTH WEST FRONTIER series. In the catalogue description it states "Immortalized by their defence of the Residency at Kabul in 1879" hence the grey bases

Cheers

Hi Tommy

I think that is the tassel end of the Turban wrap and not a badge, at least that's what they look like on the sets I have

Cheers

Hi Tommy

As you know Len produced sets for customers based on their individual requirements, but saying that your set could be set# IA6 - 44TH MERWARA INFANTRY - INDIAN ARMY SERIES , the catalogue has them listed in a khaki uniform. That particular set was not part of the Boxer series

Cheers

Thanks Martyn. I think the only Indian Army set in the Boxer series was the six pound green artillery gun set with a partial wall in khaki uniforms with red turban although Lawrence has one in green I think. Tommy

Thanks Martyn. I believe the only Indian Army set in the Boxer series is the artillery set. Tommy
