College Football - 2014 (1 Viewer)

Some tough games to pick this week:

Baylor 31 Oklahoma 27 - hard to pick against OK at home, but Baylor can score points

ND 27 Arizona State 20 - ASU typically chokes in big non-conference games.

Michigan State 30 Ohio St. 17 - MSU is the real deal.

Oregon 37 Utah 20 - the Ducks are rolling again, but a dangerous place to play.

The picks:

Bama 27 Miss. St. 20 - this is why they pay Saban the big bucks. Bama at home knocks off the #1 team.

Wisconsin 30 Nebraska 17 - take your no doze before watching.

Stanford 20 Utah 17 - Stanford takes their 1940's offense into high gear and score 20. Next week they discover the forward pass.

Auburn 38 Georgia 34 - good game. Wouldn't be surprised if Auburn gets beat.

These picks should come with a laugh track, the Stanford comments are comedic gold "next week they discover the forward pass"; I'm stealing that one, but I will give you credit nevertheless......:wink2:

Guess there will be a new number one. The Bulldogs were never in the game. Maybe the fact that Alabama has beaten them almost 80% of the time is in their heads.

did you know that Las Vegas had Alabama as a 9 point chalk...

that is a HUGE favorite over the #1 team in the nation...

Alabama is the class of the SEC. They are at the top, year after year, always in the title hunt. Other teams may rise up once in a while and have a better year, but Bama is in the mix every year. They are a football factory of the first-order. Almost impossible to beat them at their home field and they are the one team any SEC team must beat in order to take the SEC crown. Their consistency is unbelievable. -- Al

Amazing finish to the Northwestern-Notre Dame game. First a terrible pass interference call on 3rd and 9 gives ND a first down with under 2 minutes to play. That would have been the ballgame if the Irish hadn't decided that going for the extra yard was way more important than holding on to the ball.

NU's kicker hadn't made a kick from over 29 yards all year. Today he had three over 40.

'Cats win...'Cats win!

All year I've thought the Irish were highly rated because they were the Irish (some teams have to prove they are good, others have to prove they are not). I'd like to think that NU beat an excellent team in a massive upset...but I think the reality is that they beat a mediocre team with a bad defense.

No matter what...I'll take it. Go 'Cats!

I don't know how you pick your scores but I hope you play the lottery. You will hit it one of these days. Off by only 2 points on the Bama game and the Stanford game score was perfect, only reversed but good enough. -- Al

I guess the key to losing to FSU is getting up 3 or 4 scores on them; what's that, the fourth game this year they pulled out of their rear ends, unbelievable.

And their coach is named "Jimbo"............seriously? "Jimbo."

To me he looks like a Bubba, a Cleatus, a BillyBob or a JoeBob, not a Jimbo.

Well, you know how it is below the Mason-Dixon Line, down somewhere below Okefenokee.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. Miss State scored at the end of the game to make it look closer than it was. Alabama dominated the whole game although they only scored 6 points in second half. Dak Prescott lost what slight chance he had at the Heisman with three picks. If Auburn beats Alabama and MSU wins out they still come out on top. Chris

Those names were all taken by his extended family (along with Goober and Gomer). I see FSU postponed the hearing on "Crab Legs" until after the season ends. That will teach him. Boss Hogg must have made a call to Buford T. Justice. Once Winston announces that he is leaving for the NFL I bet they say oh shucks we were just about to drop the hammer.

A stand up career is beckoning, you are officially on a roll...........
