Corgi said today there be making a new 1/32 die cast Mosquito VB , Me 109 & Battle of Britain Spitfire
I think these will go well with K&C range

Is there any wonder why Corgi struggles in this field with an announcement like that? the market is already flooded with all the same models they produced years ago. no leadership there. (IMHO):(

Maybe they noticed K & C doing well and got back on the bandwagon.

It is good news for me since I missed the earlier releases. The metal Corgi aeroplanes have good detail and an appropriate heft

I think they'd be better served with one new model. There certainly are plenty of all models on the secondary market very often at well below retail, the catch is always the postage cost, they are very heavy.

Agreed Ray:

Perhaps a new Corsair or even Zero if it had to be a fighter. engine planes opens up a great varity like HE111, Beaufighter, B25, P38, etc.

The Mosquito's & the Spitfire are going for more than retail in the Uk

If the 109 is an E Battle of Britain model to go with the Spitfire I would definitely want one. If their new Spitfire has the correct dihedral, I would get them both. Other that HobbyMaster, which only has one 1/32 aircraft, I think no one has matched their detail and I particularly like the movable gear and flight control surfaces.

They are usually quite good with such details and, a mosquito would be a really nice addition. I know a few people who use them in conjunction with K&C figures as they cannot afford warbirds polystone or wood so, more BOB will be great for those collectors

Does the "out of stock" mean it's sold out or they just don't have any more presently. For what it's worth, on the Corgi site, you can ask to be notified when they get in more (if any).

The 1/32 planes on the Corgi site indicates the models they have are all out of stock.

I have the old Mustang- its great! comes with three figures
1. Squatting on the wing (pilot)
2. Sarge...
3.guy painting on the last kills (brush and jar of paint)

The plane is diecast and I loveit- moving parts, removable cowling etc.

Mosquito woudl be awesome- so would a zero and a 190.....and a Stuka....For tht matter, I wil just keep my eyes peeled for 21st century stuff

I have all the 21st century 1/18 fw 190 + loads of Me 262 in my loft :D

I just bought a 1/32 Mosquito on ebay awhile ago, I will take pics. The thing is MONSTROUS. I was really shocked at the size.

Also, coming shortly to the board is a 1 of 3 in the world Holz Modelbau Junkers. It is all wood, pretty cool plane, I will post shortly. This thread reminded me of it.
