Went to the VA clinic this morning for labs. Three workers at the entrance with thermometers, tape on the concrete for distancing and a barrage of questions of "have you traveled...do you have symptom". Well done VA!!! Got my labs done and the tech told me there have been fights at Audie Murphy VA Hospital in the parking lot over parking spots. One vet got out of his car and kicked in a door panel of another vets cars. Shessh.

This is what the waiting room looked like:

I think its time to take this offline......
As far as the whole Stimulus, as usual it is too complex and slow, even today they rescinded some benefits for seniors.
So we'll talk later.
I'm teaching on line now which will keep me pretty busy.

God bless you for teaching NY! Keep it up my friend!

Breaking news: The beer distributors remain open in PA. And they have a ton of water since apparently no one has ever gone there for anything other than beer. It's probably been there since WWII. They must have a Tony Soprano-like benefactor to avoid being shut down. Most are too dirty for the corona virus to survive. So they are safe as well! A rare win-win situation.

John...
I love HEB and Scott McClelland...
their stores here are top notch, clean and competitively priced...
McClelland is a hoot with is commercials...
they are the market leaders over Whole Foods...Krogers...Randalls...Walmart...etc...
their emphasis is on low prices to their customers...

Been listening to news that American companies are selling much needed medical supplies to other countries when they are much needed here.Have no problem selling to other countries when our needs are satisfied but this is going to be a huge scandal.Tens of thousands are risking their lives everyday helping others and these greedy companies have no shame.:mad::mad: I have to quit listening to the news.

I heard on the news that the aircraft carrier commander with the sick sailors in Guam got fired. He wanted the sick (less than 100) sailors to get off the ship. Subsequently, almost 3000 of 5000 sailors will be off loaded. I wonder because the news became public?

Sounds like some admirals got butt hurt. Shooting the messenger.

Don't know the whole story but could be a violation of the chain of command or a breach of security in terms of publicly announcing a health crisis on a ship crucial to defense. -- Al

Yeah, apparently he skipped the Chain of Command and his letter would up on the SF Chronicle for some reason. I have not read it yet, but skipping the COC is the deadliest of sins, even if your right. I have to read the whole story because last I knew the ship was docked in Guam and separating crew. Imagine being on ship with a deadly virus. Talk about mutiny...ugh.

IF companies are selling to other countries (thus superseding sales to our country for profit) them shame on them and yeah I want to know who they are.

More Breaking News-COZUMEL, MX

**** my favorite island, my favorite haunt The Thristy Cougar and the dive shops are taking a beating:

https://www.latimes.com/world-natio...dark-times-as-coronavirus-hits-cruise-indusry

If you have never been to Cozumel or The Thristy Cougar its not to be missed. The single best blackened chicken and or Seafood Nachos on the plant. Right off the Avenida and down from the Cigar Shop. I need to reach out to my dive master Friend Oswaldo and see how he is doing. Plus, there is an orphanage we visit down there. I need to check on the kids too.

I forgot about Cozumel with all the virus news. Thats an island thats sole industry is tourism and theres none.

All,

Diego Garcia news:

I feel bad for our submarines out there in the waters. I mean you cannot practice any social distancing in one of those. Hopefully, non of them are sick. We will never know, but the sailors have to be stressed about their families. Talk about staying icy cool down there and resisting panic. Its a lot to bear for a sub crew and her Captain.
