Did Hitler Escape From Berlin In May 1945 ? (3 Viewers)

If Hitler had been in Argentina then the Mossad would have got him

Argentina is a little bigger than a small hole. Lots of Germans in South America. Anything is possible
There is no definite proof he died in Germany. One thing is sure. He dead now. ^&grin

Maybe not. As long as we're indulging counterfactuals with very meager scraps of info to support them, why not suppose that Hitler did escape for the Soviet ring around the city block where he hid, managed to get to Tempelhof and took off, in what must have been a feat of derring-do worthy of Indiana Jones, given that Tempelhof was overrun by that time, flew some 800 miles through Allied-controlled airspace across central Germany and France to neutral but friendly Fascist Spain, took ship from their to Uruguay (where there is actually a stronger German presence than in Argentina), gathered Nazi scientists to him through the efforts of the ODESSA, and extended his life via miraculous Wunderdroggen that those scientists invented, and is today living on the dark side of the Moon at a secret Moon Nazi base. "Iron Sky" is really a documentary, not a sci-fi spoof.

Kee-rist!

Best point, yet. If the Mossad could hunt down a relatively low ranking character like Eichmann, then someone of Hitler's celebrity would have had no chance of staying undiscovered. And wouldn't that been the ultimate justice. -- Al

I think you said the key words "Relatively Low Ranking" which meant he did not have the means at his disposal as Hitler did !
Mossad found Eichmann because of several reasons. One being Eichmann did not have the security and protection that Hitler did. Hitler lived (possibly) in a remote area away from everyone, as he should have.
Secondly Eichmann left his home regularly to go work in town at a Automobile plant, thus mixing in with the general public until he was revealed by an informant. Any parts of Argentina that Hitler lived had
High security over seen by his friend Juan Peron, a long time supporter and President of Argentina. Again not at all wanting to butt heads here over diferent opinions, views, facts.
As I mentioned already I am waiting to see what the Program airing on Tuesday evening's lays out on the Table as proof, either way !

Happy Holidays To All !

Here is a sad and disgusting example of how baseless conspiracy theorists cause harm. A university professor is alleging the Sandy Hook massacre was a hoax and is sending letters to the parents of the dead children asking them to verify that their children were real:

WWII German Sub Found off the Coast of Argentina

I'm open to ideas that don't always conform to established ideas so Hitler could have escaped is a possibility as there is no definite proof that died in the Bunker. Most compelling to me that he didn't escape is what Gazza said about Mossad.I can believe that the U.S.and Soviets might hide the fact that he escaped but I don't think the Israelis would have.I think they would have went after him full force.

Simon Dunstan & Gerrard Williams wrote the book GREY WOLF
Its a very thought provoking account of the last days of the war and post war politics in South America .
I generally do not go into conspiracy theories but this does expose the system put in place to protect Nazi,s fleeing Europe.

For those that enjoy the Hitler got out alive story line, there is an extremely well written novel about such an event and the Soviet hunt to catch him. It is called "The Berkut" and was written by Joseph Heywood in 1987. It's a good read and has a rather unusual ending to the whole tale. -- Al

Yes the book is a great yarn, won't give away how Stalin kept Adolf after he captured him except to say he deserved it, can imagine Stalin doing just that in reality.
Wayne.

Actually the sub found off Argentina I believe was sunk during the war. I recall Nat Geo doing a special on the sub and trying to locate it. There were some survivors. I suspect after the series is done. They will come to the conclusion that they can neither confirm or deny where Hitler died. But regardless. He is dead and has been thankfully dead a long long time.

The Russians identified Hitler's remains via his dental records. The remains were re-buried and then later destroyed. Reports were written to Stalin confirming these facts by individuals who would have been executed had Hitler turned up alive. There are also witnesses to his death. There is no mystery or even possibility that he escaped Berlin. It is simply a fantasy like most conspiracy theories.

I love the way these shows are written/presented. They'll show several people around a table looking at a piece of paper and one of them will exclaim "OH MY GOD, LOOK AT THIS!!"..............as they go to fifteen minutes of commercials.

Then when they come back, he's looking at a menu from the hotel they're staying at and sees they have pizza...................:rolleyes2:

I wouldn't waste two seconds of my life watching a show trying to convince me Hitler flew from Germany to Spain, went from Spain to Argentina in a submarine, then lived in exile for a number of years completely under the radar, but to each his own.

Sounds like it's too late George, you know the whole plot.

You mean to tell me nobody actually believes Adolf flew off into the sunset and finished off his days as Adi Wolf a gardener on one of Franco's estates.
This show is total comedic gold, I keep waiting for them to open a door and have the 120+ year old Hitler say finally the gig is up I've been waiting 70 years for you dumb ***** to find me.

I do think it should be on the comedy channel though and leave the History channel to historical documentaries like Ancient Aliens.{eek3}

If it's Pepperoni pizza on the menu then OK but if it is Hawaiian count me out.

Some great posts here and would have to be one of the best threads I've read for a while.

I managed to sit through a couple of episodes of 'Hunting Hitler' which I found very entertaining on so many levels.

As we all know the first thing to be lost in war is the truth and I'm all for questioning history as we know it, but this series had more holes in it than a block of swiss cheese.

The so called investiagation team did a poor job and were quick to jump to conclusions and as for the so called military experts, they need to go back to military school because their skill level was well below par if that programme was anything to go by.

Sorry Wayne and others, but I'm far from convinced Hitler made it to South America to live out his final days in seclusion and luxary far from his beloved Germany.

This evening here in the U.S. another episode airs. I am waiting to see what turns up, if anything !

I just opened this thread as conspiracy theories usually don't interest me......albeit some are merely entertaining in a comedic sense.
Towards the end of the Third Reich Hitler was a very sick man....frail, delusional and totally paranoid. He was addicted to pain killers, sleeping pills and opiates.
We know from first hand accounts from his secretary, guards and inner circle that his greatest fear was being captured alive by the Russians......he knew that torture, ridicule and eventual death would follow. No way he could get out or would he have taken the chance of being captured.

What we know for sure, 70 years after Germany's surrender, is that the scumxxx is dead and his vermin followers are dead or close to it.

If Hitler escaped from Berlin, he clearly would have done so via the infamous KC Rammjager. LOL. We had some great threads on that one back when the forum was rough and tumble. I think several regulars were sent into Animal House like probation over that never to return. Perhaps a conspiracy theory in itself. I almost wished I had bought it now and rigged it up with a well endowed Eva Braun giving Churchill the double eagle salute as she rocketed to South America.
