just got these and, had not posted for a little while so, here are two of the new winter Flak guns from TG. They are really very good and, are very detailed. Always concerned at moving parts on sets from any manufacturer but, I have to say the movement of the barrels is smooth and easy and, done well. The guns all stay in position when being used for AA purposes so, no droop issues!!! The fact that they came without crew is also a bonus as they can be used in a variety of settings from dock scenes to airfield scenes where there is a wish for no combat to be depicted.

I hoped that they would be able to be used on the old K&C KM crane I recently got from e-bay and, as you can see they will be just perfect. A little bit of converting and the flak will be perfect on the half track. I have four of these two in the house now and two more on the way.

An excellent release from TG and at a great price for what you get.

Wayne..

They are a great set. Already looking forward to the Nebelwerfers coming. Looking forward to doing this as its not a huge job. Are you getting one converted also it will look great with your winter or grey sets?
Mitch

Would like one of each, but will see what happens but definite grey.

Great sets indeed and of GREAT QUALITY so I hear. I am still awaiting the arrival of my flaks ( winter and grey) I will mount one on the opel blitz, the other one will support the defence of the Fatherland .
I already pre-ordered the Normandy pak 40 ( the ruined barn from Verlinden which will become its home, is awaiting the arrival of the gun )and I will add a battery of Nebelwerfer .( have not made up my mind yet , but I tend towards the Normandy version )

Guy...

having had a real good look at how these have been made it should go back together really easy if you intend to keep it and not ask for a replacement. I was impressed with the packaging for these items but, it should still come mint

It's not good that so many are broken out of the first few delivered. Has anyone got their shipment in good condition? I have to wonder if this is why Andy doesn't want to make a quad mount. He did say he was worried about breakage. One of Hoogri's does look like it was a direct hit from a 155mm.

Richard you're in the same boat as I am. These are very delicate pieces. It would have been much better to have the protection shields not fixed to the gun . Less breakage and more possibilities for displaying the flak. Hope they will and can be replaced.( grey one was almost sold out a week ago)

Richard....Wow what a horror picture!!!!. Still not recieved mine (2) yet, so i will be opening the box with trembling hands. Just cannot understand why some arrive safe and sound and others in pieces...Surely if there is no damage to the box then the model should also be intact????????....Looks as though they have been playing football with yours in the parcel sorting station!!!!!!....Sure TG will sort it for you!!.

Terry..
clearly the pics showed mine came in great condition. I just recieved two grey this morning and they also were in great condition. seems like many items some get damaged some don't. Not good for the collectors who have danage but, again, does not seem from what we are seeing that its everyone for sure. Only difficulty is in the number made as to what happens with returns and replacements.

I did note the change in packaging from polystyrene to foam for the flaks not sure if that caused some of this but, it may be poor packing at the factory that cause this. I spoke with two friends who I know one bought 5 the other three all with figures no lone flaks and, all were in great condition.

Got all 3 of mine yesterday (w/o figures) with no damage. Impressed with the detail.

I received 5 flak guns today. All 5 broken. All their shields were off and that front-center piece on all 5 was off. The truck was in good shape. I can easily fix all pieces myself but I shouldnt have to. Very disappointed in the arrival condition to say the least. If they would have arrived intact I would have been very happy because when they are intact they look great. Before TG produces larger more expensive things like a Tiger or something else they really have to have their packaging problems fixed. Keith
