Forthcoming and third Dispatches of 2012 (2 Viewers)

Terry, I don't think Andy did deny they have some influence, this from his post;

'Whilst this is undoubtedly useful it is by no means the only criteria by which K&C makes its commercial decisions'.

Its pretty clear, there are several criteria involved, lobbying is just one.

Rob

More a case of other treefroggers telling me I can't influence him - I'm sure I can to some extent as can his other regular customers and forum members. But I really don't see why anyone would be upset by his post.

One good point that was made is Andy letting collectors of the small ranges what to expect in the future. With so many ranges, some seem to get lost and languish with no new releases for years. It would be nice for collectors to know if a series has gone dormant.

Terry

No, me neither. All he said was that our guesses were wide of the mark, and lets be honest most of us often are!^&grin

As the author of this thread how about we now get back to subject, anyone hoping for something NOT to be retired just yet?

Rob

I'd like to see the Royal Welch Fusiliers stick around for a while, the problem with AWI pieces is that it takes a long time to purchase enough in multiples.

Mike

Andy, I have been a collector for many many years and have enough K&C products alone that could pay for college for at least 2 kids. I joined the forum to touch base with other collectors and to communicate with owners such as yourself to suggest what I would like to see and what other collectors I have spoken with would like to see. As an owner I would use that information as a survey and be open minded to some suggestions. Its true we collectors don't have experience running a successful toy soldier company for many years but I think when we suggest something we want to see the response should not be worded the way your last was. Believe it or not most collectors know what they are talking about. And if a majority are suggesting the same thing maybe they are onto something. Don't take suggestions and requests as an insult to your business knowledge we are just trying to be happy collectors.

Chocolate mouse,
I concur.

say Mike ... how long a firing line are you planning on ? :redface2:

I would 'double' my firing line if K&C just ' reversed' the muskets on the existing poses. Just by adding bayonets to the muskets that did not have it earlier, and by removing the bayonet from those that previously had it. Increase the variations with 'minimal' new moulding costs ? :rolleyes2:

I remember FOB had a quiet period for a while, but during that spell Andy often said he would be returning to it, and wow he wasn't wrong!! The range has exploded into life with just excellent releases, so just because something goes quiet for a while does not mean its demise, there is always hope!:smile2:

Unfortunately for me it went in a direction I was not interested in. (refugees and German riders) There are still a few British, French and German AFVs that could be done.

I usually go for firing lines of about 6-7 per rank, depends on what regiment it is and how many other figures are produced in that range. You might want to consider simply chopping off the bayonets and swapping them.

Sorry Terry I was talking about the new 'UXB/Battle of Britain' sets which have recently arrived. Re your coments, I wonder how popular French AFV's are compared to say US or Russian? I have the Char B and its a cracking model.

Rob

Well, there must be hope for french AFV's if Italian AFV's and troops are popular. Russians well, time will tell at how popular they will or will not be.

Hawkeye...

FJ's would be good but, the last few did not stay around very long

Rain is a nice day in England ^&grin

And the early 88's in the desert were pink - that's a great idea - it would be a unique model ^&grin

There was also a pink Spitfire you know, but it didn't go out with the other green and brown Spitfires:wink2:

April will be 30th Anniversary of the Falklands - so maybe some Paras, Marines, Gurkhas, Scots and Welsh Guards - now that would be different.
