GAME OF THRONES Season 8 (1 Viewer)

It was a great episode I suppose but I was disappointed as I really couldn't see crap. The episode was entirely at night and to be honest trying to follow it was a horror for me.I really couldn't tell who died and who lived except for a few characters. I will probably have to watch it again. My cousin watched it with me and felt the same way.

Agree

I think they were trying to duplicate what they call the “fog of war,” with mayhem, confusion and general uncertainty all about. I think it succeeded brilliantly.

I was hoping for more of “who is the winter king”.
Also, Johns wolf is still out there somewhere 😀

Mark...agreed...the winter weather effect really ruined it for me...I thought Bren of Tarth died...along with Jorah of Marmouth...maybe a good dragon died...couldn't see a thing...me and a friend moaned about the clarity of action through the whole episode...

so who is left to fight Cersei and her army of mercenaries?

a handful of the stars?

the Dothrakis and Unsullied are gone...
maybe 1 dragon is gone...I dunno...

I'm gonna watch it again...

but...

I guess next week will sort all that out for me...

Jorah and Theon died for sure. The tough little girl who took down the giant with her but the rest I don't know.

Hello,

Blackbob,

Go to the bathroom before the show, get your snack and drink, turn off all the lights, and don't blink.

John from Texas

Summer is coming...

Arya has come a loooong way since Season 1. She's quickly turned into one of my most liked characters. "Stick them with the pointy end"

When I was reading the books, halfway through book one, you knew she was going to be a massive character!

Blackbob...SPOILER ALERT

okay...so I watched it again last night...at least the ending...I even read an online recap of the episode...and yes...Jorah is absolutely dead...I somehow missed that...I think I was in the kitchen getting some Flaming Doritos when he passed away...^&grin

the online recap said that in the trailer for Episode 4...that the dragon thought to be dead...is seen flying in the trailer...so Dany would still have 2 living dragons left...I re-watched the trailer also...but that's not clear to me as I can't tell the dragons apart...so I'll have to wait til next week...

according to the recap....apparently more Unsullied survived than I thought...so the Northerners do have somewhat of an army left...

the biggest complaint about the episode in their online comment section...and this complaint was a common theme...was the clarity of the action...it was too dark...too much debris in the air...action became unidentifiable and blurry with the special effects generated by computer technology...

of course there were 2-3 guys with rebuttals on the clarity claiming the majority needs to buy better tv sets as "their sets" showed it in absolute perfect clarity...

I never read the books...but I understood that Martin's outline of the final chapters....mostly centered on Arya...

of course HBO has written their own ending as Martin is supposedly a notorious slow writer and the show caught and passed his unfinished written ending...

Although I thought it was a very good episode, I also felt the same way you did.
:smile2: Mike

I'm going to watch it again later or maybe tomorrow night.

There's a 40 minute making of episode 3 on HBO on demand. You can see things much better.
