With the heavy Spanish castle walls came a few JJD figures that snuck into the parcel.

Nice figures and photography, Gary. Would you say these are close to the same size/scale as Thomas Gunn?

Pretty much although it depends on the TG range (and presumably factory used). WW2, modern and ancients tend to be a little more chunky than JJD while Zulus tend to be a little smaller in scale and less chunky sculpting.

I love those Dayaki soldiers from Borneo, they remind me of the legendary Sandokan, the tiger of Malaysia{sm3}{sm3}{sm3}

A nice batch of John Jenkins flew into Tassie this week. Probably one of John's best releases to date. The Carthaginian scorpion is great on the ships and with all the figures this makes for a dramatic Punic Wars navel diorama. The King Tiger tank is a stand out piece while it is great to get the first Trojan War figures. I love the British mounted dragoons and the majesty and drama of returning to the Wars of the Roses is great.

A small parcel this week. An extra Teutonic Knight (now retired) from K&C plus a couple of useful Crusader stone carriers as I have the original Crusader catapult released by K&C in the mid 2000's. As John Jenkins is returning to the War of the Roses range I picked up the two mounted figures I was missing. I dabbled in this range when it first came out and have around 30 figures which focus on King Richard III's doomed charge at Henry Tudor (most figures back in NZ of course). A couple of Mamelukes by First Legion, before they come off sale was the final items.

Gary.....this is some good stuff! I always enjoy seeing your latest additions. :salute::

Mark

A little pre Christmas joy arrived in the shape of a parcel full of Team Miniatures Franco/Prussian War figures and a lone British Marine (K&C) from the Falklands War, the start of yet another range to add to the collection.

I hope all on this forum had a good Christmas and let us all look forward to a better 2022. I am determined it will be!

Gary

Arriving this week was a wondaful prize from John Jenkins for being one of the lucky winners of his caption competition. 20 figures (including two mounted) and a truck. His generosity knows no bounds.
