I really like the third photo down and the bottom one in your recent post. Mirrors movement to my imagination.

You do ECW well Gary. The terrain and back buildings compliment this series. Well done. Robin.

St Crispin's day 1415. A late October autumnal day in Northern France. A large French army bars the retreat of Henry V's English army and sanctuary behind the walls of the English town of Calais. But as it had proved many times before the English longbow proved supreme on the battlefields of France. Let the slaughter of French chivalry begin.

The last of the '45'. After the defeat of bonnie Prince Charlie at the battle of Culloden in 1745 the English set about the submission of the Scottish highlands. While the Prince returned to exile in France the English troops attacked and took their revenge on much of the highland population. Scottish customs such as bagpipes were band.

This scene is of a last stand by some of the princes rebels caught in a highland settlement and slaughtered by the hated redcoats.

From the cold Scottish highlands of 1745 to the searing hot sun of the Middle East in 1917. The Arab revolt against the Turkish Ottoman Empire is in full swing and in Saudi Arabia a combined Arab and British force attack a Turkish railway holt deep in the desert.

Did you see Lawrence's pinkie finger while holding the revolver? Love it!

Now its Viking time and a scene from the Kingdom of Wessex southern England around 820 AD. A Viking raid on a small walled town. Walled towns normally provided protection for the local population but not this time as the raiders gain entry. I have all the first and second ranges of Conte Vikings, the new WB range but have resisted the FL range as there is so much else to concentrate on. However, having just watched three series of the Vikings on NetFlix I am tempted to get a few.
