My son found this amazing Handley-Paige Halifax Bomber for sale on e-bay for a fraction of its original cost, and asked me to get it for him for his 16th Birthday. What can I say, I raised him right!:salute:: Happy birthday, Alec!

Hey Louis, that's an awesome birthday present, it will make a great display item. My 1/32 scale S-Sugar Lancaster that sits in a glass coffee table in my lounge room continues to be a conversation piece. For example, on Friday Two guys came to collect some furniture I was donating to charity. One of the guys was really impressed with the model, even though he was a ex Navy man. He served on HMAS Melbourne, which may explain his tolerance of aircraft as it was Australia's last Aircraft Carrier :smile2:

Wow what a great present !
And Best wishes to your son for a Happy Birthday :salute::

Steve

Louis,
what a find, really a unique piece and exceptionally well done. What a present and it is great beyond the moon that he shares your interests, really cool!

PS - I see it has a Skull/Crossbones on it so that makes it even better as you know I am a fan!

Alec's Birthday present arrived and is on the K&C half of our Gordon Neilson designed and executed 12 foot by 6 foot RAF Aerodrome Diorama (all the other planes depicted are either classic or modern K&C mohagony Warbirds (there are about 30 on the diorama, Alec and I have about 80 altogether):

Awesome set-up Louis ^&cool

Thanks, Matt!:salute:: Here are some overview shots of the Aerodrome (the left side is all Heco Tinplate Models, the right side is K&C (including an RAF Control Tower custom made for me by Gordon Neilson of K&C back in the 1990's) except for the planes in the air, which are all Heco Tinplate Models:

Louis it looks great! Having seen your set up many times, I wish you would have made a video of actually landing that one on the diorama, that must have been an exercise on its own!!! Terrific!
