I used to take a lot of pictures...but kind of stopped on that a while back...but now I'm going to try to start...and finish...a thread to show my collection and displays that I have set up permanent in my home...

any of the guys that have been on here a while...probably know my collecting tastes...one of my first passions was John Jenkin's French-Indian War...

so I think it's appropriate to start off with one of my favorite JJD series...the Battle of Snow Shoes...

this is a permanent shelf diorama in my house...it's in my office on a three tier shelf cabinet...

in the next few weeks I will try to photograph all my displays...

I made all the displays myself...

Nice dio Mike and I especially like the little creek dividing the two forces.

Tom...thanks for the nice comment...I wanted something to separate the opposing combatants...the figures are packed so tight on there that it's like the Battle of the Sardines...^&grin

Awesome! Love me some Miller Dios!

Zach...thanks for the nice comment...

Desert Kiwi...thank you...I too love the snow scenes...the snow shoes that this figures are wearing was a big draw for in in collecting them...

Tom...thanks...they are packed in there pretty tight...I built a shelf to house them...but decided instead to do my Roman/Barbarians in it instead...the Roman elephant took up too much room on this small shelf...

Robin...thanks for the nice comment...and yes...I agree...the vibrant colors of the figures drew me to collecting this series...

Steve...thank you for the comment...forest scenes are my most favorite dios also...but usually hard to create...the bare trees with snow on them was an easy way out for me...

Wolfgang...thanks for the flattering response...it's one of my favorite collections...

Great scene, I can see why this is a permanent display. Chris

Chris...thanks for the nice comment...this series is so unique...i have always told myself that I would never sell it...I do wish John would re-visit it...even if in a small way...I would love a few more figures for it...

Roger's Rangers and Their Whaleboats...

I'm gonna stick with my JJD figures for a bit...

this is the middle shelf of the cabinet in my office...

I made this diorama a couple of years ago...I always liked the backdrop and tried to create a close match in the diorama...I love the water and the reflections of the boats...
