bunker.jpgHow many collectors out there would be interested in a new Collectors Showcase Diorama set depicting the rear bunker entrance to the Reich Chancellory with a hunched over Hitler accompanied by Arthur Axmann greeting members of the Hitler Youth defenders as seen in the very well know photograph depicting this event. IMO I think this would be an Awesome set ! Would buy it in an instant. Any other takers on this one ?????

I think the building dio piece would be a nice addition for the WWII collector. :wink2: Those who are in favor give your thoughts. Maybe CS will listen and take note !

LOL thats just wrong. :D But then it might not be an accurate depiction of history. Any takers?

Hi Panzerace! It sure is a great idea for a dio. Where did you get that picture with those soldiers carrying two bodies out of the fuherbunker? Its the first time I ever saw that picture, and I`m very curious.^&confuse

Ha Ha !!! Now I would buy that set. Very christmassy.... brings to mind jack frost song, though suitably reworded for poor old Adolf

'' Hitlers chestnuts on an open fire.. russki's nipping at his nose!!!

(note the reference to nut or nuts I know we like our accuracy but, I have no definitive proof about this alleged deficiency)

Mitch you must have been reading my mind. Maybe a HJ with marshmellows?

Well I've been lucky to been to Berlin three time now and last year was lucky to go inside one of the bi g flak towers ^&cool what I would like to see is a German soldier hanging from a tree with a sign saying coward on it , just think the figures need to be more gritty

Neil...

I visited Berlin a good few times and looked at Flak towers etc very interesting and, were some structures. Tried to get a friend to get me into the bunkers but, they just would not do it for health and safety and, I have not been back since. Would like to see releases that you suggest and would like to see a bit more realism in the way the hobby releases sets. I liked the Conte realism and think it would be a good move

Panzerace....

I wonder if these building would be released Is there a big enough market for them? I am not sure. It would be easy enough to make them for yourself and create the dio you wish. There is a late war Hitler and some Hitler Youth so, it could be recreated. I think it could be too specialised a topic. But, you never know what way the manufacturers think when releasing stuff

Mitch..... My logic behind this Berlin Bunker set being done is it symbolizes the final Downfall of Nazi Germany. CS made the interior set for the Hitlers office , and the Lichterfeld Barracks which to me is very specialised set,and seem to have sold very well. None of the dealers currently have a complete set in stock ! It would allow collectors to use figures from other makes to add to this dio even more. Just a thought............. :rolleyes2:

The final downfall is how the bunker is today a car park next to a bloke of flats:wink2:

I don't understand this comment ??

I am not so sure the Lichterfeld barracks and, the reich chancellry buildings are as specialised as you say. They are a neccessary for the figures that they released. A groupd of officers from Hitlers inner circle and some war hero's galland etc. The lichterfeld barracks was the home of the SS and, it would have been amiss not to have done it.

Now, I like my LAH collections and, the last few days of the war are of great interest but, IMO only, I would not have any interest in having a frail old Hitler parading through the ruined gardens of the chancellry patting idiot children on the head and giving them iron crosses for taking out some russki tanks. it was so bizzarre you could not have dreamt it up

What truly symbolises the end of the reich is the head shot to the fuhrer and Eva next to him tight lipped, when germany was free from his grip or, the soviet flag flying above the berlin capital.

Again, they would be sets which, would not be of interest to me personally now, a brandenburg gate would be another matter and, large yes, but, I would buy one at the drop of a hat.
