JJD JagdPanther Pics. (4 Viewers)

What?? no music from the Fatherland ^&grin^&grin the video looks great Moe, really get to see many more angles and detail with a video like yours, thanks again for taking the time to shoot and share.

Superb pics, Moe. The detail you have highlighted is amazing. John really outdid himself on this AFV as his first foray into later German armor. I find myself really impressed by the paint finish in terms of the weathering/wear. The chipping around the mantlet is so well done it just looks like bare metal. Incredible work from John, as usual. By the way, I had no idea you were and armor collector as well as a flyboy.:wink2: -- Al

Thank you, Al. I'm sort of amazed that Jenkins can crank out a model like this for $270. I know that's not exactly "inexpensive," but buyers certainly get their monies worth.:D

Hah, these things are nothin' but Thunderbolt-bait!^&grin

Superb photo essay Moe. What camera did you use and did you use a Macro lens? JJD certainly has superseded the K&C and TCS Jagdpanthers in terms of quality and detail. The interior detail is nice and is shown well in your exceptional photos.

Thank you, katana. The camera is nothing special, a canon that was on closeout several years back at a local camera shop. It has a 10x optical zoom that has a "macro mode." However, the setting requires a LOT of light on the subject for the pics to come out well. :eek: Thanks again.

@Everyone...:)

Feeling a little overwhelmed by all those pics?:eek: Having to wrestle with the images to get them to display properly on a low resolution screen?:mad: Well, I uploaded them as a slideshow at Youtube::D

Thanks Tom, personally I was a bit surprised by the size of it. When I see a pic of a nice 1/30 model, my mind invariably converts it to 1/35. Having so extensive a collection of 60mm armor and other vehicles, I doubt that you're ever burdened with such misperceptions.

My other comment is really a function of the model's quality. I know that I shouldn't be amazed by how well done these sets are at this point. However, I'm just in awe of how fine the new Jenkins replicas truly are. AND, it occurs to me that they are continuing to evolve and improve.:eek:

It's a great time to be a JJD collector. :D

Can someone please post some comparison photos with other versions from K & C, Collectors Showcase or Honour Bound, would be interested to see the size difference.

Matt, I took some comparison pic's of my new JJD Jag and my K&C Jag and TCS Jag. They are in a thread that Kat started in the General Matte Discussion section. I don't own a HB Jag.

Thanks Tom :salute::

Congratulations to John and team for creating one of the best 1:30 AFV models I have had the pleasure to examine.

You got my vote for photo of the year right here!!! outstanding Frank!!!!

Great photos Frank and the scene is superb. I have not seen as good a camouflage color accuracy since the Figarti Jagdpanzer IV. First Legion now has very serious competition in the high end 1/30 WWII Armor market IMO.
