KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- February 2018 (1 Viewer)

The Folgore soldiers are very nice and realistic, please note the red italian hand grenade( SRCM Mod. 35). After 1943, these grenades were used by the germans.

K&C seems to have done some good research on the Folgore in North Africa. Impressive

Yes, and a good place to start would be not to criticize what other people collect ad infinitum.

I don't criticize others' collecting choices. I have never implied negative things about those who choose to collect Nazi ceremonial figures. I have stated why I do not collect them, and I have defended those manufactures and dealers that choose not to produce/sell them, but I have always maintained that making/collecting them does not necessarily say anything bad about anyone.

Look to your friends

So anyway, back to the dispatches. I'm a NAP collector but pick "bits and bobs" as Andy would say, from all other ranges. And these are my looks:

Love the Polish Cav figures, and might take one for the FOB group.
From the IDF, I already have Moshe Dayan on my buy list, but think he might need a buddy and I really like the sniper. But will look over the entire grouping first.
From the IF, which I have a few, a Folgare would be a fine addition, and will list the grenade thrower.
And from the NAPS, I could use some casualties.

The IDF radio operator is excellent -- one of my favorites from the series. He works excellently with Dayan.

I also love the Polish cav. I would love to get them, but I really don't know much about the period. Can anyone recommend German figures for them to attack?

Old Guard look tremendous! Great job K&C! Casualties are so essential for a dynamic and realistic display. The officer looks beautifully done, also.

Popo mentioned the red granade first. He must have noticed in the hand of the Folgore granade thrower

Terry

Being a big 'desert' fan, I was surprised to learn about the 'red grenade', so thanks for sharing this with us Terry & Poppo.

A really great touch by K&C too for adding this extra bit of detail.:salute::

I'd recommend they attack these German figures...should be fun.

Hello gents, i am a newcomer here although have enjoyed the polite debate and camaraderie of the site on the sidelines for quite a while !
I mainly collect K & ww2, and desert figures in particular, and was so pleased last month to see the new Ramcke Brigade figures and now this months Folgore releases- excellent poses - I will gradually get them all - well done Andy!!
Best regards

I was glad to see different italian ww2 weapons in the folgore relases: the hand grenade mod. 35, the " Breda" machine gun, and the "Mab" 1938 semi and full automatic rifle ( a bad quality gun anyway).

Not only red, they were in different colours{sm4}::p

War : red
War "Regia Marina" :white with red line; loaded with TNT [5].
smoke : yellow in the war period, then red; recognizable by numerous large holes on the bomb body.
smoke-Incendiary : for operational use, without holes, half upper red, half lower black with writing on the bottom respectively F and F1 [6].
Reduced charge by exercise: red with brown and blue stripes, charged with 5 grams of smoke blend, sleeve without fragmented wire.
High Potential: red with yellow line, high potential, charge to TNT.

I don't think a Panzer IV would be the best choice with the Polish cavalry. Aside from Polish cavalry vs German tanks being a myth, the overwhelming majority of German tanks in the Polish campaign were Panzer I and IIs. III and IVs were there but in very small numbers.

So wondering what new German opposition we can see released to oppose the Polish Calvary?

Jenkins makes some excellent Panzer Is. Perhaps K & C will soon release some of their own.
