Let it snow... (1 Viewer)

Looks like it's finally starting here, in NW'ern NJ. Staying home tomorrow. Schools have already packed it in.
Hi Brad. Most everything down here has been closed since Saturday. Even the US Gov't has been closed all week. Virtually all the area school systems will be closed until next Tuesday. The Snowpocalypse is upon us. This area does not handle bad weather well. Stay warm and safe. -- Al

Templar...I had to look it up.

"Denmark experiences changeable weather because it is located in the temperate zone at the meeting point of diverse air masses from the Atlantic, the Arctic, and eastern Europe. The west coast faces the inhospitable North Sea, but the terminal section of the warm Gulf Stream (the North Atlantic Current) moderates the climate. Lakes may freeze and snow frequently falls during the cold winters, yet the mean temperature in February, the coldest month, is about 32 °F (0 °C), which is roughly 12 °F (7 °C) higher than the worldwide average for that latitude. Summers are mild, featuring episodes of cloudy weather interrupted by sunny days."

I always thought of Denmark as a cold dark snowy country.I think I thought that way because of it being connected to Norway and Sweden and all those terrible Vikings.:D

Sleet in Toms River right now, but the worst is coming. I knew it would be bad when it stated snowing here last night at 7:30 instead of the predicted 2 am. My driveway was so icy that my truck actually slid three feet down the driveway.

I would like to put my foot in Al Gore's posterior right about now. I always thought he was a jerk before his global warming garbage b/c of his comment that he invented the internet, NOW, I really hate him. What a complete sponge on society.

NO, this is not political, this is pure feeling.

I could not live there! The Vodka I would love, but that continuous temperature and snow would do me in!!

Ice fishing, which I'm sure Pete can relate to and I think has done, could be fun. When I've gone up to one of our facilities up near the Canadian border, I've seen people doing it. Looks cool.

Hatfield? A Landsmann! I grew up in Harleysville, went to Souderton High.

I talked to my mom an hour ago, and they've got about 2 feet of snow down there now. Good old-fashioned Pennsylvania winter!
