London June show Pics (1 Viewer)

I'm sorry I didn't take any this time due to the comments I was given at the March show. :(

Jeff

Really???? Comments on the board or there at the show?

Tom

I won't go into too much detail but when I asked if it was ok to take some photos to post on the Treefrog Treasures Forum the response wasn't the most friendly, he has a bit of an issue with a review of the WW1 triplane that was posted a while ago.

Ouch, that may have been me in Chicago. Heck, I liked the set!! I still do, I bought one. That is a shame to hear. Gerard is a really nice guy in this hobby and I always enjoy visiting/emailing with him.

Perhaps he is in the wrong business then. What poor sportsmanship on his half and passing up the chance to get a free airing of his products.

I went through all the photographs on this thread last night to make sure I did not miss anything.

Next to being there in person (which I hope one day), this has been a wonderful virtual show presented by the merry band of UK Treefroggers.

A big thanks to all.....Jeff, Rob, Simon, Martyn, UK BOD and Trooper.

My apologies if I left anyone out.

Raymond.:)

Thats a shame, it would have been good to have seen some of pictures. And I think we all agree, Evey single manufacturer, has had their fair share of critics. Because its just part of the industry.

Is it me? Do I win?

Ugly mugs from bottom left clockwise:
Trooper Alan
Me
And the tone drops from there for the next few ....
Robert of UK Rebeldom
Eazy James (vicious rumour apparently)
Royal Mail Rob
Andy Otto UKBOD
John Cleese of panda1gen fame
The delightful Mrs O'Brian (at least I hope it's Mrs O'Brian, or John has got some explaining to do when he gets home ;))
John O'Brian (Obee) himself
and lastly, some guy with too much green paint on his hands, Jeff someone or other.

Special mention has to go to Petunia, our delightful bar host, who performed an Olympic standard gymnastic feat in order to get the overhad shot.

Thanks SO much for your kind hospitalty betowed on a couple of colonials at the show last week. :)

Pauline and I ( yes, we are married :)) had a wonderful time going around the show and meeting so many nice people, like the ones pictured above, and thats what makes our hobby so enjoyable.

I am sure that the bags will be a tad overweight when we leave Paris next week.... but who cares.... a little extra lead in the hand luggage will go all the way back 'down under, to prove many hours of painting enjoyment.

thanks again guys for all your hospitality..... I'm home in 2 weeks, so expect more posts then about my views of the show, and maybe a couple of images.

John, it was great to meet you and your good lady! She appears far too good for you! :D

I take it you will be taking back some of the Alma castings from Michel's stock?

Enjoy your next two weeks.

All the best

Jeff

It was great to see you and Pauline John, glad you enjoyed yourselves. Don't leave it too long before you come back again. Alan

That is one heck of a show report. Thanks to everyone.

I particularly enjoyed the Heritagr miniatures, apart from First Legion of course. It appears TM worked really hard on their displays for Figarti and First Legion.

Thank you again for all the wonderful pictures.

Is it not the flag from the SA bearer with one of the Algeimiene SS figures from the LAH range
Mitch
Great pics all thanks alot it means heaps to us blokes who "NEVER"get to go to shows, plus where is this figure from the German with the flag?

Gonna have to get to one of these shows sadly, always seem busy

Jeff, Alan and the other guys,

thanks again for making this Show the best that I've been to. Its not only the soldiers, but the people in our hobby that make it such a joy to be part of. :)

We finally arrived home on Friday morning 2am after about a 60 hour flight from Paris.... yes we had a L O N G trip with a engine failure over the Alps, another night in Paris, then another in Dubai due to a missed connection, but all of the troops arrived in first class order when unpacked on Saturday.

Yes, I did get some more Alma Figires to paint, this time a Russian gun & Crew, thanks Michel for them and your kind hospitality in Belgium :)

Another find was the last set of castinig by Tradition of the Band of the 3rd Regt Imperial Guard Grenadiers, Dutch Regiment that have recently been retired. You should have seen me going through the airport scanners and having to explain the metal in my back pack to the security guards, especaily in Dubai at 7am :)

Anyway, I'm having this week off to recover from jetlag.. so hope to catch up with all the latest on the Forum.

I'll sure to catch you all again at another show.... 12:30 in the bar ????????

John,

Great to meet you and Pauline and glad you had a great time over here.

When you stayed in Belgium did you sample the beer made by the monks? ;) That stuff puts hair on your chest!:D

We will give you a week or so and then check out the painting section to see how you have got on with your castings. :p:cool:
