Gentlemen, thank you again for kind wishes. I would especially like to send a thank you to Ken and Erika Osen, who sent me a very nice get well card. I saw my spine surgeon today, and he recommended epidural steroid injections. If they work, I can avoid surgery. If not, he will try a minimally invasive laser surgery to remove the extruded disc fragment causing the problem. I am looking forward to a complete recovery.:smile2:

Hi Louis. Sounds like you got a bulged or blown disc, eh? I blew my L4-5 disc back in the mid 90's and also went the epidural shot route. It worked like a champ, relieving the pain from the very first shot in the series (3 total shots, if I remember correctly) and made surgery unnecessary. I have had no further trouble with those discs. I hope the shots work as well for you. Get better. -- Al

Thanks for letting us know Louis. Hope you don't need surgery but hope you get well as soon as medically possible.

It looks like he may need surgery. I think he was seeing the Dr. this week.

Jason,

I will pass your best onto him. Unfortunately, he won't make it Chicago. Chicago will be quite different without him.
