Rob I asked Andy from the start if the Me 262 was a tail sitter & he said it was not, people are going to moan when they pay £243.00 for a plane to find out that some do when you been told by the owner it does not , would you be happy i:confused:
It would of been better to come clean & say from the start that it needed the stand :rolleyes2:

Neil, first of all I doubt he has left the forum over this mate.

Secondly you are making it sound like the majority of these are tail sitters and the fact is they are not.I spoke to Tony of K&C UK the other day (the biggest supplier of K&C if I'm right) and when I spoke to him they had not had one single tail sitter. Whilst I do understand how frustrating it is to buy a tail sitter, some people who have them are making it sound as if its the norm, it is not.

Rob if you read my post it does say some are tail sitter , so I don't see how you can say I'm " making it sound like the majority" do you ? secondly there should be none when the owner said so him self don't you agree ? saying that it still a nice plane & who else will make a 1/30 Me 262 , it still on my wish list ^&grin

Neil you wont be disapointed mate it really is a beauty and is as heavy as ,well its really^&grin
Rob are you getting this plane^&cool
Scott

Then I happily stand corrected mate, I'm sure K&C UK would be happy to replace it for you if you wish, thats the point, anyone who has one has only to return it to their dealer surely??

Rob

I just have one German plane and that is the FW190, its an absolutely superb model and I really am pleased with it. The finish on it is just right on the money, I don't have any Luftwaffe figures yet but am sorely tempted to get some now.

The Typhoon is going to be a real highlight this year, I've already squirrelled away two hundred quid towards it, can't wait!^&cool

Will you get the Typhoon mate?

Rob

I have them all mate including the original poly109 and corsiar these are superb models aswell
The desert 109 is a cracker goes with TG 190
The TYPOON is one i cant wait for hopefully with invasion stripes and fully loaded with rockets
Scott

Thing is nobody knows exactly how many are tail sitters as this is only a small number of collectors on here from the 600 released. What is obvious is that its pretty even in terms of those that have and those that don't so, all this majority are and majority are not is pie in the sky.

Uksubs is right that it should not have happened and the forum so, the on line world were catagorically told that it was not a tail sitter and did not need the stand which, was sold seperately with troops but, even with that only one or two pictures showed it without the stand.

At the price it should not even be an issue we are debating it should have been manufactured correctly. Now the question is are collectors happy to have it standing in their collection with a stand at its rear or not. As for the UK I am not sure all is well as I know several people who have tail sitter from the UK so, it depends on what information source you wish to go with.

I don't think Andy would have stopped using the PM response so, as for losing his ear I think thats a tad dramatic. Its just been a rocky few months but, I think none of it has been collector orientated and don't think anyone has decided lets just pick on K&C collectors respond to the products in front of them and issues derived from the manufacturer like pricing and IMO its not been handled correctly for a comapany the size of K&C
Mitch

Have to disagree on two points there. First there are people who believe there is an open campaign of moaning and nit picking aimed at K&C , this is not tittle tattle but fact as a member of this forum left just the other day because of it.

Secondly I don't think it is dramatic at all to say we have lost Andy's ear on the forum, answering pm's is not participating in a public forum , which Andy has done for many years answering questions and suggestions and now has ceased, there is a growing concern that this part of the forum is growing more and more aggressive and argumentative, again not tittle tattle but from long standing and ex members.

My me262 came with the scaffold to hold it up
Ithought it was sold with the crew as well
Scott

Iona..

We all were as that was what was stated. Would not expect anymore tri carriage aircraft now being done.

Its a superb aircraft and such a shame that all the issues have overtaken the conversations that could have and should have taken place

Did they have these on the Eastern front in different camo schemes

guys!!!

the way i see it...........ignoring the fact of what Andy said......as pointed out he is oneof only a few who communicates and listens to his customers. Also during production and when Andy spoke maybe there was not any talesitters, Mike from K&C UK saw a sample in HK last year and it was not tale sitting. so during production did somthing happen!! i dont have that asnwer

the fact is........some are and some are not tale sitting.
the box comes with a support (stand in style of mechanics hobby stand)

the choices are:-

buy it set it in a airfields dio with the crew on it (as i beleive intended)
dont buy it and move on
bought it dont like it GET A FULL REFUND from where bought from
bought it dont like it ask for a swop witha non tale sitter

Rob at the time of getting our order we had a large number wehad not come across any tale sitters...........when we spoke and i had opened a good 20!! so not fibbing there. however yes since we have found the odd one..........odd one

Mitch i emailed you direct and told you what you needed to know

Scott send it back mate and get it swopped........we have stock to look at even if you got it from another UK dealer............we supply all the ligit ones!!

however here is an interesting fact

K&CUK have sent out 29 of these and we have not had 1 complaint back that is a complaint direct to myself or mike or any other of our team...........we cannot help you if we dont get told.

why spend all that money and then NOT like something!! speak to your dealer

i referto my other post as well Chinease new year so no one is going to speak from K&C for a few days!! any way

your statoury rights are not effected by having a tale sitter!!:D
