Hi Brent never had a problem before with K&C stuff so I'did not fill the need to have the item checked ,as for tail sitter it come with a stand so no problem but you think k&c would check there item before leaving the factory we are talking about a plane that sell for £240.00 & it look like the dealer does not want to knowUksubs,
Regarding the paint on your ME 262. Prior to posting to you didn't you ask the seller to check the tail situation ? If they had they surely would have noticed the paint.

Brett

Looks like a "one of" error, indicating that it slipped past the factory inspector. Just a glitch, as opposed to the tail sitting problem, which appears to have been inherent in the design. KC should be happy to replace the defective example as just an "oops", these things sometimes happen with quality control. -- Al
Just got a email from the shop & there waiting to hear back from K&CI would now contact K&C direct and that would be the last time I used that dealer, that is for sure !!
Did you not have three K&C 88mm flak guns sent from The Military Workshop as first two were broken ?^&confuseI agree with Brett completley. I was one of the first to post about my "tail sitter". Brett replaced it without question. Given the quality problems with some of the ME262 models, all dealers should have had the foresight and checked their stock before selling the item.
Uksubs,
I have never seen such a paint problem before on a K&C item and it is fairly noticeable. I note you got it from the USA. I would assume any seller, aprticularly a dealer, sending to UK from USA would have checked it in view of previous concerns in general about some 262's not sitting properly. If they had they would have surely spotted the paint problem. In fact I would have thought you would have requested such a check, especially as getting from overseas.
I could not help but notice a forum member was selling one at the start of the month and you responded to that thread.
Either way a tricky problem for the seller in view of the postage costs involved going from USA to UK. Will be interesting to see how the situation is resolved.

Wayne your spot on mate :wink2: , It a great looking planeDon't be deterred mate she is a beaut and once you get all the crew that go with it,it looks superb K+C have hit another winner here with this WARBIRD.
Uksubs,
Regarding Breslau's 88 what happened was he picked up an unbroken one where we had both checked the gun itself in the shop. However we did not check the stand which is located underneath in a seperate area and this was what was broken. This was easily replaced. So it was not 3 88's broken.
Actually I think he did quite well out of the situation as you will have noted by a post he made that he re-painted a broken one (which he recieved from me for free -only thing damaged was the figure had broken off from his seat).
Whilst I can not speak for other dealers in my case the 88 problems were sorted by replacements as soon as K&C were able after the Christmas break. As I mentioned previously if you come across this item without the outer box or cheap it might be wise to check it as more than likely one of the broken ones.
Hopefully your dealer can sort your 262 out for you.

Brett
Wayne,
Breslau did actually buy one with some crew so technically his damaged one was not free.
Don't want to start a stampede.
