More Close Encounters of the Best Kind (1 Viewer)

Thanks for the kind comments Joe.
I haven't really been at it 24/7. You must remember that I had almost 9 weeks of ideas buzzing around my head before I got home, so what you're seeing are the results.
I must admit that I do enjoy playing around with diorama layouts, adapting what materials are available, then photographing the work in progress as well as the finished article. I find it to be such a stress-buster after weeks of "what I do for a living". I'm sure the camerawork will improve given some time with the manual and once I'm up to speed with the new Photoshop software. Thing is, even though I'm still not satisfied with the photo results I'm getting, I have to say that a gradual improvement is discernable - especially compared to my early, rather woeful, efforts.

Thanks Again
H

The Uhlan bulger and the one with lance down does look identical to the Crimea ones... The Uhlan officer and lance up horsemen seems unique.

BTW, do you think K&C needs to produce a charging officer/general for the Scots Grey?

:confused::confused:
I was convinced that one wasn't all that well known - even by casual fans of the band. A curse on you I say....:D:D
Okay, I'll try again when I get around to it.

Cheers

Harry

You still have me struggling - is it the Beatles Revolution?

H,

That dio is looking pretty cool. Thanks for taking us along for the ride with it's construction.

Harry it's been a pleasure on a daily bases seeing the results of what you've been creating for your shelf Dioramas along with the photos you've provided. Seems like you've been at it 24/7 and your efforts have paid off in spades...The Lt.

Harry, I agree 110% with Joe.....it's been a pleasure viewing your artistic talents.
:)

Regards

Jeff

Are those K&C? If yes, are those retired? I can't find then. I like the Russians; it could be use in the Berlin 1945 dio.

Cheers:)

Rod,
If you're referring to the 17th Lancers, then they are available from TF or K&C UK.

Here's some more taken this morning in natural light.
Something I'm going to get in future is one of them rotary tables as used in Chinese restaurants so's I can turn the base easily for taking shots at different angles.

Should have cropped this one before posting it previously. I think it looks better this time.

Kind of the same subject. Different effects though. Second one looks much more like a photo taken circa 1941.

The colour of the groundwork is much more subdued in this photo and it also shows the layout to good advantage.
