I really ought to obtain more of those facades, but I'm kinda concentrating on getting the figures first. Of course this implies that some facades are retired before I can get to them, but that's the chance I take.

Very nice display. I'm happy to see I'm not the only one in the facade vs more soldiers/figures quandry:D. Did manage to remember to get the Egyptian temple facade and statues before they were retired:):):).

Thought fellow Froggers might be interested in this old photo I found in my Granny's house a few years back. I've a funny feeling that the guy on the right with the broken nose could be my real Grand-Dad....Dunno though....he's not all that debonair....;);):rolleyes::rolleyes:

Some quick snaps of the concept for a new Diorama using the first base I ever made. A somewhat clandestine meeting, supposed to be set on the Syrian/Iraq border. The base needs some more work - maybe a bit more green and reposition some of the figures. We'll see how/where this one goes.

Here's another new one that's in the works. It'll be next week before I can get the chance to really do some work on the new dios, but these are some of the ideas I'm bouncing around.

Is that A figarti Stuart tank in that Syrian/Iraq dio? I just got a couple yesterday. Very nice vehicles.

It's the K&C EA16 Desert Vickers (with a repainted FOB Vickers turret) that I borrowed from a different dio just to play around with the layout. The other tank is the FOB37 Renault which needs a bit of middle-east weathering. I might also try WS91, the Gestapo Arrest Citreon in there as well (without the German figures of course) and add a couple more FOB French figures.
Yeah, I like the look of the Figarti Stuarts as well. Might just get the Free French one for this diorama. I'm still just messing around with the concept of what I'm trying to portray. It's something along the lines of a Vichy/Free French pow-wow sponsored by the SAS.
The base is from my original LRDG diorama (see below), but I decided I wanted to make a bigger LRDG dio, without the camels, and incorporate at least one of the new Figarti Chevy's along with the two K&C items. That's why I reckoned I'd recycle the old base into a new dio with the French stuff I bought last week.

Ha - caught out again....:D:D:D
She's actually a Russian manufactured figure of Morgan La Fey of Arthurian legend. I'm knocking around a few ideas in my heid as to a storyboard using her, Crusaders/Saracens and some new IC figures. Depending on my flights of fancy, a real (?) FANTASY diorama may coming up.

PS. Reb, I'm not even going to ask if you know where my latest strapline comes from cos I just know that you know, ummm...if you know what I mean, you know....:rolleyes::rolleyes::eek: Think I'd better go and lie down....:D
