STAR TREK: PICARD---Annie Wersching posted a photo of her as the Borg Queen with Patrick Stewart from Season 2.

AGATHA CHRISTIE---20th Century Studios head Steve Asbell said Kenneth Branagh is returning for the third movie based on an Agatha Christie novel, “We have the Poirot franchise, we have other Christie stories. I love these films, I love Ken. We have a third script written, by Michael Green, that is a pretty daring shift in genre and in tone. It’s post-war Venice and an adaptation of one of the lesser-known novels. So I think you’ll see the mustache again.”

PULP FICTION---Samuel L. Jackson said he deserved an Academy Award after being nominated for co-starring in PULP FICTION, "‘My wife and I went to see BUGSY— ****! They got nominated and I didn’t? I guess black folk usually win for doing despicable ***** onscreen. Like Denzel [Washington] for being a horrible cop in TRAINING DAY. All the great stuff he did in uplifting roles like MALCOLM X? No - we'll give it to this motherf*cker. So maybe I should have won one." Jackson lost out to Martin Landau for his role in ED WOOD.

PLAY DIRTY---Robert Downey, Jr. plays Parker, who is described as a, "cutthroat, one of a kind professional thief who takes his line of work dead serious" in this Shane Black movie based on the Donald E. Westlake novels.

PLANET OF THE APES---the next movie in the franchise is underway with its script nearing completion. Wes Ball (THE MAZE RUNNER) is the director.

WHITE MEN CAN'T JUMP---rapper Jack Harlow will star in the reboot of the 1992 movie that starred Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson.

TRIVIA---Jeff Goldblum said when he met Steven Spielberg to discuss JURASSIC PARK, Spielberg and his creative team originally wanted to remove Ian Malcolm from the movie by combining Malcolm with Alan Grant, "At that first meeting, [Spielberg] said, "Hey, you know, I wanted to meet you. You know, I've enjoyed what you've done. There's a current consensus and a faction, at least, in my group here, that thinks that the script should develop a little, and we may take your character out of it. And put that character that was in the book, Malcolm, and kind of meld it into the Grant character. So, you know, it's kind of one guy." I was, well, "Ooh, really?" [laughs] I've made a little pitch, you know, in my way, all off the top of my head. "I think you might enjoy having that character there, because- or I, you know, I'd be remiss before I left, if I didn't say that, I think, you know, you want somebody to-" whatever I said, you know. Not that that swayed him in any way, but luckily it wound up in the movie."

ALIEN---Fede Alvarez (EVIL DEAD, DON'T BREATHE) is the writer/director of a new, original ALIEN movie underway at 20th Century Studios for release on Hulu with Ridley Scott as producer. It is a standalone movie not directly connected to the previous ALIEN movies. 20th Century Studios head Steve Asbell said the new movie is, “really good story with a bunch of characters you haven’t seen before”

I AM LEGEND 2---Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan will star in the sequel to the 2007 movie that starred Smith and was based on the Richard Matheson novel. Akiva Goldsman is the writer.

THE BATMAN---Matt Reeves was asked if Robin might appear in a sequel, "Maybe. We'll just say maybe. I don't know. Here's the thing, I have a lot of ideas about what I want to do. I'm not sure what the next story is. For me, whatever that story's going to be, it's going to be to take these characters — and specifically Batman's character — and put them in some kind of emotional jeopardy. So when you talk about what you're talking about, there may be a really interesting story. There'd have to be emotional stakes to get drawn into that character's story."
He added, "I don't want that character to become a cypher. I don't want to be like, 'Okay, so we saw it wasn't an origin tale, but you know what, that was kind of [Batman's] origins and now he's just perfect.' No, you need to test the character again and again and again. And for me, yeah, there might be something in that. I don't know. There's a deep-dive that already happened at the beginning and now I'm gonna have to deep-dive again if we have the chance to make another one and so we shall see."

KRAVEN---Alessandro Nivola (THE MANY SAINTS OF NEWARK, JURASSIC PARK III) will play the main villain, but his role was not disclosed.

QUANTUM LEAP---Raymond Lee will play physicist Dr. Ben Seong, who heads the team seeking to restart the Quantum Leap project in the NBC pilot.

THE BIG LEAP---Fox cancelled the series.

ORDINARY JOE---NBC cancelled the series.

ISLE OF THE DEAD---AMC spinoff series underway with Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan returning as Maggie and Negan. The synopsis says, “ISLE OF THE DEAD envisions the popular Maggie and Negan characters traveling into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan long ago cut off from the mainland. The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.” The series will premiere on AMC and AMC+ in 2023.

GOD OF WAR---Amazon Prime is in negotiations to develop a tv series based on the video game.

GOTHAM PD---Matt Reeves commented on the HBO Max spinoff series, “The GCDP thing, that story has kinda evolved. We’ve actually now [moved] more into the realm of exactly what would happen in the world of Arkham as it relates coming off of our movie, and some of the characters…it’s like a horror movie or a haunted house that is Arkham.”

TRIPLETS---Arnold Schwarzenegger commented on the TWINS sequel, “We had a little setback because the man that was [supposed] to direct it, who directed the first one, Twins, Ivan Reitman had passed away sadly to say. And so, you know now that we just wait a little bit until this whole thing cools down and then we’re gonna readdress it. But that’s a project [supposed] to be filmed in October and so it could still be you know, but we just have to now look into a different director and just get into and to see if we are going to continue with this project.”

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC EXPLORER---documentary underway about the search and discovery of Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton's ship Endurance which sank in 1915. The documentary will be shown on the National Geographic Channel and Disney+.

VIKINGS: VALHALLA---Netflix renewed the series for Season 2 and 3.

TRIVIA--in THE BRIDGE ON THE RIVER KWAI, British character actor Percy Herbert played POW Grogan. In reality, Herbert served in the British army in World War II and was a prisoner in the Changi prison camp where he worked on the real Burma Railway. Because of his POW experiences on the Burma Railway, director David Lean paid Percy as an actor and consultant on the movie. It was Herbert who suggested to Lean that he use the "Colonel Bogey March" song in the classic movie.

I have stated that a hundred times in a hundred venues, having to restate it endlessly is just wearisome. I made a lot of progress on Winds in 2020, and less in 2021… but “less” is not “none.”
The world of Westeros, the world of A Song of Ice and Fire, is my number one priority, and will remain so until the story is told. But Westeros has become bigger than The Winds of Winter, or even A Song of Ice and Fire."
Martin also commented on the HBO Max GAME OF THRONES animated series titled THE GOLDEN EMPIRE, "Over on the animated side… well, I am not allowed to talk about most of what’s happening, except to say that things are moving very fast, and I love love love some of the concept art I am seeing. And.. wait, come to think of it, the news leaked several months ago that one of the animated shows would be set in Yi Ti. That’s true. Our working title is THE GOLDEN EMPIRE, and we have a great young writer on that one too, and I think the art and animation is just going to be beautiful. I would tell you more if I could. I don’t think I can say a word about the other animated shows. Not yet."
He added, "I have seen some comments out there questioning how much I am involved in these new series. The answer is: a lot."

DUNE: THE SISTERHOOD---writer Jon Spaihts commented on the HBO Max prequel tv series about the Bene Gesserit sisterhood, "Oh, that is carrying on and I’m not allowed to talk about it very much. But that effort is alive and well. I ended up getting moved off of it to work, not just on DUNE: PART TWO, but to investigate other cinematic prospects in the DUNE universe, which we are still talking about and which, again, I’m not allowed to say very much about. But it is a very rich world in which to play, and I think it is ripe with opportunities for storytelling in every direction.

STAR TREK: PICARD---Annie Wersching commented on if her Borg Queen is a new version or the same Borg Queen portrayed by Alice Krige and Susanna Thompson, “In my opinion, she is a different incarnation of the Queen. [My version] is going to have all the information and all the memories that the other two queens have, but she is her own incarnation.
Before I auditioned, I watched FIRST CONTACT, and then after I got the role, I watched every episode that had to do with the Borg. But I didn’t rewatch to mimic them. I wanted to watch once and get the information, and then take what I learned to make my own version. I know Alice is the queen of all Queens. It would be really special to meet her someday. Susanna and I actually worked together a bunch on the NBC show TIMELESS."

THE MUNSTERS---the Rob Zombie movie based on the comedy horror tv series has received a PG rating.

TRIVIA---a recent auction of Michael Caine memorabilia brought almost $1.1 million. Caine's Rolex Oysterquartz Day Date watch, which he wore in DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS and other movies, was sold at a world record of $166,500 for that model against a projected price of $10,500. Other Caine watches sold were his Breitling Navitimer for $14,300 (projected $927--$1,191) and Traser H3 Black Storm Pro for $5,400 (projected $132--$199). Two pairs of Caine's trademark eyeglasses sold for $5,400 (projected $1,000--$1,635).
Caine said, “It’s going to be quite a wrench to part with so many treasured parts of my life and career, but it’s the right time to be moving on. I hope these mementos will give their new owners as much pleasure as they have given us.”

True, currently the media is over-supervised by the easily offended minority. There are still a few comedians that push the limits, e.g. Jimmy Carr who release that most people appreciate the use of comedy as comments on society morals etc. However main stream movie makers continue a policy of increased 'Political Correctness' despite continued reduction in audience numbers, I'm sure I'm not the only member of the majority that especially resent the 'policy' of replacing traditional White Male roles with (so called) Minority characters.

DEADPOOL 3---Shawn Levy is in negotiations to direct the sequel. Earlier, Levy commented on Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman appearing together, “What we want is to fold it all in together and make a big, fat bromance sandwich of a movie, because the world wants the Hugh Jackman-Ryan Reynolds movie. I don’t know exactly what it’s going to be, but I know it needs to be me who directs it.”

DUNE 3---writer Jon Spaihts commented on a possible third DUNE movie, “DUNE MESSIAH picks up years after the close of DUNE, and yes, Denis [Villeneuve] has talked seriously about making that film as well, as a conclusion of the trilogy.
DUNE MESSIAH is a very interesting book, which in some ways, deconstructs DUNE and plays as a cautionary tale, even more than DUNE does, about the dangers of blending religion and politics, the hazards of following charismatic leaders, and the dangerous struggle that’s always alive between the individual and institutions.
There are a few tantalizing strands that lead into the future and suggest that we might not be done in this universe, despite the fact that the ending of DUNE as a novel, which will be the ending of the second film, is a very satisfying conclusion.
There are a number of ways in which the book also sounds ominous notes, and there are hints of foreboding about what made be yet to come.”

JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION---DeWanda Wise commented on her pilot character, Kayla, “There’s nothing like being dropped into a space to go, like, ‘Got it. I know how to walk now’. This is Kayla’s world. She’s fresh out of the Air Force and her main thing is flying cargo: mostly dinosaur stuff, but it could be anything. If you are even a little bit of an animal lover, even a smidge, it’s just remarkable. I was shown the Lystrosaurus early and named him Leonard. I would like to take him home. It’s honestly wildly overwhelming, how much affection you can feel for this thing that you know logically is not real.”

THE PENTAVERATE---Mike Myers posted a photo from his Netflix comedy series about a Canadian journalist investigating a secret five-man society that has influenced global events for centuries. Myers will play seven roles in the series.

NICOLAS CAGE---Nicolas Cage commented on reports of sequels to FACE/OFF and NATIONAL TREASURE, “I have not heard hide nor hair about it [FACE/OFF 2]. So often these things we read about are just conjecture without any base or foundation to it. I feel the same about NATIONAL TREASURE 3. It’s been 14 years. There’s no there, there.
So, is it fun to think about? Sure. Would [FACE/OFFf 2] be an exciting movie to make? Oh, hell yeah. But John Woo was such a huge voice in that movie. It couldn’t be a remake. I think these filmmakers even said as much – that something like that would have to be a sequel.”

In 1965, Claudine Auger replaced Raquel Welch as the Bond Girl in THUNDERBALL after Welch left to star in FANTASTIC VOYAGE. Auger's voice was dubbed by voice actress Nikki van der Zyll.
In 1966, Welch played cavewoman Loana in ONE MILLION YEARS B.C. in which her dialogue consisted mostly of prehistoric grunts and screams, but those grunts and screams were dubbed by van der Zyll.
Welch said she was contractually forced to star in ONE MILLION YEARS B.C., and called the movie a "turkey"---but the turkey's provocative poster made Welch a star.
Ironically, Martine Beswick appeared with Auger in THUNDERBALL and had a prehistoric catfight with Welch in ONE MILLION YEARS B.C.

GAME OF THRONES---George RR Martin commented on the new spinoff series including one which being developed by Steve Conrad (PATRIOT), “He’s determined to do a faithful adaptation of the stories, which is exactly what I want; these characters and stories are very precious to me. The first season will be an adaptation of the first novella, THE HEDGE KNIGHT. THE BATMAN---Nicolas Cage said he wants to play villain Egghead in a sequel, "Here's something, I've been thinking about this, because we have this new, Robert Pattinson as the Batman, which I haven't seen it yet, but I think he would be terrific, the villain that Vincent Price played on the '60s show, Egghead. I think I want to have a go at Egghead. I think I could make him absolutely terrifying. And I have a concept for Egghead. So let them know over at Warner Bros. I'm down for Egghead."

OBI-WAN KENOBI---Darth Maul scenes were reportedly cut from the miniseries, but other sources say Darth Maul was filmed for test purposes only. Lucasfilm denied that Darth Maul was ever meant to return.

HARLEY QUINN---HBO Max animated spinoff series underway titled NOONAN'S which has Kite Man buying a bar for Gotham City's assassins and henchmen, “He tries to run the bar by himself but it doesn’t turn out so easy. We have Harley and Ivy appear in the first episode, but after that we have with different goons and villains appearing every episode like Lex Luthor and Bane. It will be kind of like CHEERS for supervillains.”

TRIVIA---in Frank Darabont's THE GREEN MILE, character actor Dabbs Greer played the older version of Tom Hanks's Paul Edgecomb. Darabont chose Greer for the role in part because he saw Greer in the 1950s sci fi B movie IT! THE TERROR FROM BEYOND SPACE which supposedly was an inspiration for ALIEN. Darabont said after Greer passed away, "He is one of the true heroes of the things we love, and shame on us if we allow him to be unsung. I'd been a fan of his since the age of five when I first saw IT, THE TERROR FROM BEYOND SPACE on local L.A. television. He was the standout in the cast, and the only one I remembered decades later as an adult. The man has over 250 credits on IMDB, including two episodes each of THE TWILIGHT ZONE and OUTER LIMITS. He was a stalwart character actor who never stopped working, a ubiquitous face and presence who always delighted the audience even if they didn't know his name. I was truly privileged to work with him on THE GREEN MILE."

STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS---Paramount+ released a photo of Paul Wesley as Capt. James T. Krk in Season 2.

STAR TREK---at the SXSW Conference in Austin, Texas, STAR WARS INSIDER/FANGORIA writer Brandon Wainerdi asked Noah Hawley who would have starred in his cancelled STAR TREK movie, and Hawley said Cate Blanchett. Wainerdi posted, "Noah Hawley was a delight to listen to / briefly meet, and it is a crime we will never get to see his STAR TREK movie (which, apparently, was going to star Cate Blanchett? Did we know that? What?!)". Hawley did not disclose what Blanchett's role would have been.

DUNE: PART TWO---Denis Villeneuve commented on the status of the sequel, "...IMAX footage in this movie. Definitely. The screenplay is finished mostly, but it’s always a work in progress. It’ll be a work in progress until final cut, but I will say it’s solidified. I have a script in my hands. We are in prep right now… My crew, we are in full prep for the movie.”

15 CANDLES---Selena Gomez and Peacock are developing a comedy tv series based on the John Hughes movie SIXTEEN CANDLES. The synopsis says, “It follows four young Latinas starting high school as they overcome their feelings of invisibility while exploring what it means to leave childhood behind through the lens of the traditional female coming-of-age rite: the quinceañera."

DR. SEUSS---Netflix is developing five more Dr. Seuss tv series and specials: ONE FISH, TWO FISH, RED FISH, BLUE FISH; HORTON HEARS A WHO; THE SNEETCHES; WACKY WEDNESDAY and THIDWICK THE BIG-HEARTED MOOSE.

TRIVIA--in the miniseries BAND OF BROTHERS, David Schwimmer played Capt. Herbert Sobel, the commander of Easy Company. Sobel was disliked by the paratroopers of Easy because they considered him to be petty, vindictive and incompetent in tactics. After Easy's complaints about Sobel went to the regiment commander, Sobel was reassigned to a non-combat training position. Sobel retired as a lieutenant colonel in the Army National Guard, but he never saw combat and blamed his former paratroopers for ruining his military career.
In civilian life, he married, but in later years, his wife divorced him and left with the children. In the 1960s, Maj. Clarence Hester, Sobel's former Company Executive Officer, had lunch with Sobel and said Sobel was having mental problems from World War II and was bitter at Easy Company. Sgt. Bill Guarnere contacted Sobel's sister who told Guarnere that Sobel was having mental problems and that he intensely hated Easy Company.
In 1970, Sobel attempted to commit suicide by shooting himself in the head which left him blind. He entered a VA facility and later died of malnutrition and neglect in 1987. His estranged family did not attend the funeral because they had been out of contact with him for a long time and were unaware of his death.

STAR WARS---Samuel L. Jackson said he asked director Bryce Dallas Howard (THE MANDALORIAN) about Mace Windu returning even if he has to, “learn to lightsaber left-handed.”
After a fan also posted the question, Howard replied with an enigmatic series of "eyes" emojis.

THREE THOUSAND YEARS OF LONGING---Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton star in this George Miller movie about a djinn who offers a woman three wishes if she sets him free.

MAYFAIR WITCHES---Alexandra Daddario will star in the AMC series based on the Anne Rice novels about a woman who belongs to a family of powerful witches.

BIG SWISS---Jodie Comer will star in the Adam McKay/HBO miniseries based on the upcoming novel. The synopsis says, “After starting a new life anonymously transcribing sex therapy sessions in New York, a woman becomes fixated with one of the patients, leading to an obsessive, explosive relationship between the two."

UNBROKEN---Scott Bakula will star in the NBC pilot whose synopsis says, “three dynastic ranch families on the central coast of California as they make love and war in a passionate struggle to survive, ultimately setting the stage for a group of fiercely determined young women to win big for all at the National Championship of Rodeo.” Bakula will play Ash Holleren, “A retired saddle bronc rodeo champion who’s desperate to hold on to the California ranch that’s been in his family for generations. With neighbors encroaching, and his winery and trail riding businesses barely turning a profit, Ash and his extended family will be forced to dig deep to find a road back to the life they once knew”.

MARVEL CINEMA UNIVERSE---Jared Leto said Marvel movies are keeping theaters open, “If it wasn’t for Marvel films, I don’t even know if theaters would exist. I also have gratitude for these movies because they’re keeping cinema alive. I know how important that was for me as a kid… escaping to the movies. That cultural experience was quite informative and impactful. I saw movies in theaters that changed my life.”

SHAZAM: FURY OF THE GODS---a rumor claims Gal Gadot will return as Wonder Woman in a cameo in the sequel.

HOUNDS OF WAR---Frank Grillo and Rhona Mitra will star in this movie about the sole survivor of a mercenary team who seeks revenge on those who betrayed them.

TRIVIA---the MAD MAX: FURY ROAD feud between Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron during filming has been acknowledged by the cast and crew. Camera operator Mark Goellnicht provided details on how it began when Tom Hardy showed up three hours late, "Eleven o’clock. She’s now in the War Rig, sitting there with her makeup on and a full costume for three hours. Tom turns up, and he walks casually across the desert. She jumps out of the War Rig, and she starts swearing her head off at him, saying, ‘Fine the f*cking c*nt a hundred thousand dollars for every minute that he’s held up this crew,’ and ‘How disrespectful you are!’ She was right. Full rant. She screams it out. It’s so loud, it’s so windy—he might’ve heard some of it, but he charged up to her up and went, ‘What did you say to me?’"
He added, "He was quite aggressive. She really felt threatened, and that was the turning point, because then she said, ‘I want someone as protection.’ She then had a producer that was assigned to be with her all the time."
Both actors have reportedly considered the feud over.

GHOSTBUSTERS---director Paul Feig commented on the controversy of his female-led reboot, "That a lot of people have a lot of passionate opinions and the internet allows them to directly express those opinions to you. It was a tense time in our nation’s history, and I think we got caught in the middle of that. Had it been a few years earlier or later, I don’t know if it would’ve hit like that. It was hard to absorb — and quite an assault for me because I’d always had such a lovely relationship with the internet. It just took me back to grade school and bullies. The bummer is that all we did was try to make a movie to make people laugh. Suddenly it became political, and it escalated out of control."
In 2020, Feig blamed the movie's failure on sexism, racism and politics, “I think some really brilliant author or research or sociologist needs to write a book about 2016 and how intertwined we were with Hillary and the anti-Hillary movement and it was like just this year…Everyone went to a boiling point. I don’t know if it was having an African American president for 8 years teed them up or something, but they were just ready to explode.”
He added, “In 2014 or 2015 when I announced I was going to do it, it started. There’s tape of Donald Trump going like, ‘And now the Ghostbusters are women, what is going on?’”

EARLY EDITION---Alice Eve will star in the CBS female-led reboot pilot of the tv series that starred Kyle Chandler, who mysteriously received a newspaper with stories the day before they actually occurred. Eve will play an investigative reporter for a Seattle tv station.

TRIVIA---in 1985, the opening credits of MOONLIGHTING featured a Los Angeles billboard of a buxom blonde which gained her national recognition. The blonde is Angelyne, a Los Angeles media celebrity, model and singer, who caught the attention of Los Angeles in 1984 when billboards began featuring her in provocative poses throughout the city. Angelyne was born Ronia Tamar Goldberg in 1950, the daughter of Polish Holocaust survivors, who moved to Israel and then the United States. She was an unsuccessful candidate for the 2003 and 2021 California gubernatorial recall elections.

THE MANDALORIAN---Christopher Lloyd has joined the Season 3 cast as a "guest star in nature". His role was not disclosed.

DOCTOR WHO---a British tabloid said Hugh Grant has been offered the role of the new Doctor Who and "conversations are in progress". Showrunner Russell T. Davies originally offered Grant the the starring role in the 2005 reboot series, and he worked with Grant in the 2018 miniseries A VERY ENGLISH SCANDAL.

STALAG-X---Francis Lawrence (THE HUNGER GAMES) will direct this movie based on the graphic novel about a soldier who is prisoner in an alien POW camp on a distant planet where he is subjected to radical experiments.

STAR TREK: DISCOVERY---producer Olatunde Osunsanmi commented on Season 5, The galaxy’s a big place where incredible things can happen. Season 5 is shaping up to be… all I can say is that – it’s not time travel – but we go back into the past to get further into the future.
There’s this old version of STAR TREK that exists. And this new version that’s been created by Alex [Kurtzman] but there’s a lot of things we still love about the old version. So it’s about pulling from there… not necessarily stories or characters but more themes, and process, and how those stories are told, and applying it to what we do in the future. And that includes [Burnham’s] character and things she does as a Captain.”

TRUE DETECTIVE: NIGHT COUNTRY---HBO is developing the Season 4 pilot without Nic Pizzolatto. Issa Lopez is the writer.

NIGHT SKY---Sissy Spacek and JK Simmons star in this Amazon Prime series about a couple who hide a chamber in their backyard which leads to a deserted planet.

MRS. DAVIS---Betty Gilpin will play a nun in this Peacock sci fi series co-written by Damon Lindelof which is described as, "an exploration of faith versus technology — an epic battle of biblical and binary proportions."

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE---Eric Bogosian will play investigative reporter Daniel Malloy in the AMC series based on the Anne Rice novel. Christian Slater played the role in the movie.

TRIVIA---more James Bond movie trivia.
In 1953, Ian Fleming's first James Bond novel, CASINO ROYALE, was published, and a year later, director/producer Gregory Ratoff bought the movie rights to CASINO ROYALE for $600. Ratoff and producer Michael Garrison offered the movie idea to 20th Century Fox, but the project failed due to a lack of financing. After Ratoff died, his widow sold the movie rights to agent Charles K. Feldman, who then made the James Bond spoof movie CASINO ROYALE which starred Peter Sellers, David Niven, Woody Allen and Ursula Andress in 1967.
In 1965 Garrison decided to create his own James Bond spoof, the Western tv series THE WILD, WILD WEST which starred Robert Conrad and Ross Martin. The series was a ratings hit, but it was cancelled after four seasons due to CBS caving in to Congressional criticism about excessive tv violence.
During the second season, Garrison died after an accidental fall in his home.

He added, "I enjoy making movies like PIG and LEAVING LAS VEGAS more than I enjoy making movies like NATIONAL TREASURE. When I talk about fair-weather friends in Hollywood, I'm not talking about Jerry [Bruckheimer]. I'm talking about Disney. They're like an ocean liner.
