A few years ago they tried to bring back the X-Files with the original cast. The first year didn't do to badly but the second year crashed. It wasn't the same Mulder and Scully, they weren't the cool young hip FBI agents anymore.

I liked Robert Patrick's (Terminator T-1000) character FBI Agent John Doggett that featured in Seasons 8 & 9, a more serious and convincing character than the later 'Mulder' IMHO

And of course, same with every rehashed franchise they have to change the characters to Black/Asian and or Female. This occured when they released the Halo TV Series, when the fans complained bitterly the producers claimed, oh this is just an 'alternative' version of events, or 'parallel universe', what a load of krap, no wonder 'go woke/go broke' keeps happening.
My first thought as well when I saw the picture.

HOTEL TEHRAN---Liam Neeson, Titus Welliver and Zachary Levi will star in the movie about three ex-CIA agents who team up for a rescue mission in Tehran, Iran after an earlier botched rescue mission in Afghanistan.

G.I. JOE---Paramount Pictures hired Max Landis and Danny McBride to write two different scripts which will then be used to produce one final script.

POWER BALLAD---Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas star in the musical comedy movie whose synopsis says, “When Rick (Paul Rudd), a past-his-prime wedding singer, meets fading boy-band star Danny (Nick Jonas) during a gig, the two bond over music and a late-night jam session,” read the movie’s official synopsis. “But when Danny turns one of Rick’s songs into the hit that reignites his career, Rick sets out to reclaim the recognition he believes he deserves – even if it means risking everything he cares about. The film is a feel-good story about music, self-respect, friendship, and the price of ambition.”

SUPERMAN---Zack Snyder commented on more Justice League as a comic book or an animated movie, “We’ve absolutely talked about it quite a bit. Yeah, I mean. We live in a world where um all that’s possible and whatever form it would take… you know that would be amazing.”
He also commented on James Gunn's SUPERMAN, “I wish them all the best, and I don’t have any — it is what it is. It’s a weed — that three-movie [DCEU trilogy is a weed that just won’t die, you know? It grows on its own. It has its own life. It’s not concerned with, I don’t think, with James’ Superman, which is amazing and all the best to them. I can’t wait to see the next movie. It’s just awesome."
He added, “…James is singular in his storytelling, his ability to channel sort of mythological pop culture into what I’d consider an iconic and very particular point of view that’s both poignant and funny. All of the things. He’s the best at it that I can think of. He’s a great steward of that world.”

A SLICE OF HELL---David F. Sandberg (SHAZAM!) will direct the Paramount Pictures horror movie about two supermarket employees who must deal with a customer from Hell.

THREE INCESTUOUS SISTERS---Dakota Johnson, Saoirse Ronan and Jessie Buckley will star in the movie based on the novel whose synopsis says, “These rich pages present the tale of three very different sisters: one who is beautiful, one who is smart, and one who is talented. A melodrama of sibling rivalry unfurls as one sister is driven mad with jealousy due to the passionate love affair of another. Escalating to a dizzying climax, the romance of the two lovers ends in sabotage, shame, and despair.”

TRIVIA---Sony Pictures head Tom Rothman explained why SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME was not shown in China, "They just said, 'Small thing, no problem, just cut out the Statue of Liberty' ---which is where the climax is. That was their request. Also, I really didn't look forward to sitting in front of Congress telling them why I cut the Statue of Liberty out at the request of the Chinese Communist Party."
