Its been uncomfortably (and unseasonably) hot and humid here in south central Wisconsin these past two days so I have been staying low and cool inside. This has given me some time to rearrange the moveable scenics on my 4'x8' "play table" and create a different visual perspective than what I am used to. Here are a few photos of most of my ACW collection displayed on the new arrangement. No particular historic reference . . . . however with a little imagination you can almost visualize Gettysburg, perhaps a segment of Pickett's Charge. Diorama base by Hudson & Allen, scenics by H&A, WB, and JG Miniatures. The majority of the figures are WB, mixed in with First Legion, Don Troiani Minatures, ONTC, and early Conte. The common thread between the WB, DTM, ONTC, and Conte figures is that they were all sculpted by Ken Osen. The First Legion figures are a perfect match (size wise) and blend in very nicely with all the other figures. I usually post in the WB or FL forums but since I am using figures from five different manufacturers I decided to post these here. These are the first few . . . I plan to keep this thread active for the next couple of days with newer photos as I take them.

Excellent Mike {bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}......as an aside, while you have it unseasonably hot and humid we are still waiting for the Summer to arrive here in the UK, please send some of that weather over here^&grin:salute::

Mike,
Thanks for sharing your work, all I can say is wow........make that WOW, that is great, excellent layout, use of scenics and troop set up.

Looks like your rebels are going to get flanked and raked with canon fire on top of it..............

They are predicting record setting heat here tomorrow and Thursday, 95 to 98 degrees, thanks for sending it along to us, we appreciate it...........

Very excellent. A lot of fun to study, picking out all the different makers. I really love the scenics. Just makes it all so realistic. -- Al

Mike,
Very nice, I always enjoy seeing your battlefield.

Wow Mike! What a great presentation of an amazing collection. Been well worth waiting for your latest postings. The scenics are well presented with a swirling array of action. Chris

Good to see you spending some time inside and out of the heat Mike. Your collection is impressive and all of the figures work very well together. Your placement reminds me of a cyclorama painting!

I hope to finally build something for myself now that the Miller's cornfield set is coming out... I am sure we will see a similar set up from you this Fall too. I hope to see you at the Wisconsin Veteran's Museum event in September.
All the best,
Ken

What a war you've got going on there Mike

Blimey! what with your's and George's magnificent collections on display here on this board I'm in ACW heaven.

Great set-up Mike and very succinctly constructed/placements.

However, it appears to me as if very shortly you are going to have to double the size of your battlefield otherwise you aint going to have room for those 13th Alabama boys^&grin

Bob

Goodness me, another beautiful ACW dio! Well done Mike, your dio is outstanding!

Tom
