Really like some of your overhead shots Tom, but the ground level shots are equally nice. Can see many options for vehicles and figures across a stretch of time linked in with the advent of rail. You could easily disguise the rail tracks with say a long board with a track/road on it, so you could go back further in era's, although I think your passion is only WW11. The whole diorama is well balanced, you must be proud of it. Robin.

Tom,

what a great look you have achieved with the laying of the grass and the shrubs.... you should take up landscape gardening now, seeing that you have done SO good a job of this one !!!!

I love the gate and walls around the house, just like the real thing that I've seen on my travels :)

Now lets see some troops heading down the road, and maybe a train ???

Well Done,

John

You have made some serious progress !

Love the vegetation, and your explanation on how you do it.

Thank you

Rock wall...with your gates is fantastic !

Nice to see diorama development from beginning.

A lot of work.

Thank you

Superb work Tom, looks fantastic mate, you must be very pleased and really enjoying seeing it all come together as planned!:salute::

You're of course teasing me again showing off those two great K&C vehicles.:wink2::tongue:

Those vehicles are what it is about, it lifts the diorama to a new level. Well done Tom. Looking forward to seeing all sorts of layouts in the future.:salute::, Robin.

Well done mate, best way to do this sort of dio is have a go and if it don't work do it another way until it looks right which is what you have done.....:salute:: The building and rail bridge are particularly well done.....:rolleyes2::wink2:.

Cheers mate and yeah, the bloke that built those structures is pretty handy with his hands!

Thanks Steve and yeah, a lot of fun with a little bit of tearing my hair out!

The amount of foliage is starting to add up in cost, there is a fair bit. I particularly like the bridge aspect and the water feature will make it even better. The rail makes for some exciting future displays like a German armoured train or perhaps one that has been sabotaged. The whole thing is coming together nicely and will come to life shortly no doubt.:salute::, Robin.

Thanks Robin and yeah, the foliage is adding up a bit but it's not overly expensive considering the amount I have used and the size of my diorama. I wouldn't mind a train and I have looked into some G Gauge loco's. Unfortunately there aren't to many around for a reasonable price and I blew and opportunity to buy Howard's Figarti loco and rolling stock several years ago..:( I think you have posted this info before in your thread Robin but what brand are your trains and where did you get them?

Tom

Tom,

Just catching with your thread. The dio looks fantastic.

Thanks Mike, I'm pleased with how it's turning out although there is room for improvement and I have made a few mistakes. It's a learning curve and I know what to do next time. Glad you like it and the water pour is not far away now!
