I love this guy............from your lips to God's ears...........18-7 since the all star break.

And Garnett looks reborn playing the center position, Bradley has played great, he should start with Allen coming off the bench shooting lights out............was really impressed with that effort last night...............Miami doesn't scare me one bit; the Bulls yes, but not Miami.

George...I had Boston last night...+ 7 1/2...I was coasting the whole game til about the 5-6 minute mark...then the Heat made a push...I think Garnett hit 4 baskets in a row...at least 3...he broke their back...it was over after that...I like Boston to go far because they have played together for so long...and I think a shortened season favors their older guys...but that's the same reason I like the Spurs...I didn't watch their game last week...but from looking at the box score...it looks like the Spurs got off to a quick start and Boston never recovered...

to see them in the final would be great...pretty old school...but I'm still rooting for LA though...

Garnett has been reborn as the center, he's not quick enough to guard most of the younger forwards in the league, but he's quick and athletic enough still to guard most of the lumbering sloths at center around the league.

Still a tough nut to crack to get past the Bulls, but they'll need to win a couple of series first to have a shot at them..........

cheapest shot I think I have ever seen...

MWP...Artest...whatever his name is...

should be banned from the league...

Yes, that was too much, and not at all world peaceful^&grin... Apart from that, great exciting game, looked like the playoffs... Bryant, once again, excellent when it mattered the most, but not just him. Go Lakers (at least as far as you can:redface2:...).

Mike,
We've got this nitwit here on talk radio who actually said today...........wait for it............that MWP didn't know the guy was there and was all amped up after the basket and threw his elbow out in celebration...........:rolleyes2:

Honestly; you can't make this stuff up, almost fell out of my chair when he said it.......Oh yeah sure, when I make a sale at a show, I drill a customer off the dome by accident by throwing an elbow to celebrate.............

That's why I personally recommend buying via mail-order from George...safer that way!{sm4}

LOL................{sm4}

In the absence of any hockey last night, I watched my first NBA playoffs games and needed a roll of TUMS. Some of the most god awful games in history:

Hawks-Celts - this was old-school and not in a good way. Slow, boring, and low scoring. Bob Cousy could have been MVP in this series. The Hawks choked it away in the final minute. The team huddle with about 3 seconds left in the game was priceless. The Hawks coach is drawing some play and guys are looking away shaking their head pointing every direction and generally confused. Like a Globetrotters skit. The Celts bail them out with a foul and they promptly clunk a FT off the rim. Game over.

76ers and Rose-free Bulls = big time ugly. The Bulls had a guy at the free throw line at the end who is shooting 45%! I didn't know that was possible. There are 2nd graders who can hit 50% from the FT line. How can he play in the NBA? It was so bad the 76ers actually win a playoff series.

Lakers-Nuggets. The best thing that could happen to LA is to get knocked out in the first round. If they catch a decent team in the second round it's not going to be pretty.

Brad have you gotten over your optimism about the Knicks? That franchise is hard to figure. They have been awful for far too long.

If they beat Denver in a Game 7...you're right...the next series is not gonna be pretty...

OK City...

but no sweat...MWP will be back...and he give them all concussions with his elbows and make a series of it...^&grin

Have seen a smattering of the games here and there.

Not too impressed with Lakers but then Nuggets don't faze me. Spurs are my pick in the West. Surprised that Bulls were knocked out. They played without Rose a good part of the season and had the best record in the East so go figure. Heat will emerge from East.

Re Knicks, they had major injuries this year that hurt them. Not having Lin was a major loss for the playoffs because the other PGs stunk. With Lin, Novak gets open; he was a nonfactor in the series. Shumpert was lost in game 1. That was a big blow as he's a ferocious defender. Then, if that's not bad enough Baron Davis blows out his knee in game 4 and they are down to Bibby as PG, third on the depth chart. Had they been somewhat healthy it would have been a more competitive series. Would they have beaten the Heat? No, but it would have been closer.

Next year they will be a competitive team and should win their division. However, they will need to figure out how to mesh Melo and Amare because it's not working that well right now.

So after one game in the eastern conference finals, you're predicting the Rangers will win it all, now you're already predicting the Knicks will win the East next year?

You've been hanging around with Louis for too long...................:rolleyes2:

Watched the Heat/Pacers game in between the Kings/Coyotes game last night to see how the Heat would respond down a man.

Not very well, scored a whopping 75 points and lost.

And seriously; LeBron for MVP? He's afraid to go to the basket late in games, all 250 pounds of him as he doesn't want to go the line with the game on the line, witness those two misses last night at the end of the game and he's got no low post game, actually now nobody on the Heat does, so they're going to shoot jump shots all night long instead?

Cannot see this team winning the title................and if the Celtics weren't so banged up (Pierce is a shell of himself, he needs to sit down), the Heat wouldn't make it out of the conference.

Oh and as a follow up; the NBA has announced Wade will not be suspended regarding that monsterous cheap shot/intent to injure on the play when he threw an elbow as the Indiana player was coming down the court late in the game.

If I were the Indiana coach, I'd put in my 12th best player and tell him to knock Wade into the 3rd row the first time he drives towards the basket for a lay up, just unreal.

And last year he tried to rip Rondo's arm out of the socket, yanking him down onto the court in the playoffs and no suspension for that either.

What a cheap shot SOB he is.

Not a big NBA fan, but I was glad to see the Celtics beat the Heat and stay in the hunt. Hope the Celtics can knock that bunch out. -- Al

Al...I am a big NBA fan...but me too on the Celts beating the Heat...Game 4 is gonna be a battle...

Spurs and OKC reminds me of the old ABA. That's a great series even if you don't care who wins. The Spurs seem to field a contender every other year with basically the same players. You have to wonder what happens to them in the odd year.

I guess there is a lot of Heat bashing around, but to be honest, they are a great team and L James is the deserved MVP, in my view he is the most complete and explosive player around whether you like it or not: he defends, he scores, he assists, he dribbles, he runs like hell, what more can you ask of him? That said I believe the eventual final winner will come from the West. And really like the supposed underdogs, the veteran Celtics, absolutely coming out to play!

Celts tie the series. Auerbach would have approved. -- Al

Have to say that although I picked OKC to go to the finals many moons ago, I'm shocked they came back from 2-0 against the red hot Spurs. They look unstoppable now. Miami is in classic choke mode indicative of their history with James. I think either Boston or Miami will have a tough time with OKC. It may not be pretty unless the pressure catches up to the youth on the Thunder.
