N.F.L. 21-22 Season (1 Viewer)

My suggestion is to sign up for the NFL red zone, they whip around and cover all the 1:00PM and 4:00PM highlights, specifically when a team gets into the red zone, it's great and I highly recommend it.

Must be tough for fans of out of state teams to see any of their games, they do regional coverage and if you are a fan of the Rams and live in PA, you'll never see them play unless they play the Steelers or the Eagles.

Speaking of the Steelers, I'll never understand why they drafted a guy with a last name of Pickett; them being in PA, you'd think they'd know men named Pickett do not do well in PA generally speaking.......................:wink2:
Ha! Don't think Bobby Lee had much use for Pickett in Virginia, either. -- Al

What did you think of your Pats this weekend? When they were down 16-0, I thought they were toast, but they put up a good fight. Even Mac "spaghetti arm" Jones looked good. If he can stay healthy, they might make the playoffs. He showed some "Moxie" as they used to say in the old ads. Did you ever drink that terrible soda? I was at Cracker Barrel with my son and explained to him that it was awful. They had a bottle there for sale and I bought it for him. He will never doubt me again. I think they made it in Maine.

The Patriots are good enough to be mediocre, 8-9, 9-8, if they get into the playoffs, they will be a tomato can, like the teams the Patriots played every year from 2011 through 2019.

Jones is not the answer; if he is, I don't want to know what the question is.

But fear not Patriots fans, Krafty Bob has the biggest video board in the NFL (that bombards the stadium with ads) and the worlds tallest lighthouse...........oh and he's waving the 4 year period for entry into the Patriots HOF for Brady and will induct him on 06/12/24.............not on the pavilion outside the stadium that seats a few hundred people like for all the other inductees into their HOF, but in the stadium, where he'll sell 60,000 seats............gotta love Bob, he cares more about making money than winning now.

But hey, when you win 6 Super Bowls, after awhile, the shine wears off the apple.

Speaking of apples, Rodgers lasted all of 3 plays before he had to be carted off the field.

What a weekend for NY teams in the Meadowlands......................

Kraft had almost nothing to do with winning Super Bowls. In fact, they probably won in spite of him. He basically lucked into it with Brady and Belicheat. Granted there is a certain amount of luck in winning in the NFL given the injury risk, but Kraft was like Charlie Buckett who nabbed that last golden ticket to Willa Wonka's chocolate factory.

The Jets are truly cursed. All the hype about Rodgers and then he is injured on the first drive. I wouldn't be surprised if he retires if this is a season ending injury. Injuries to QBs are becoming the NFL storyline. By the end of the season, the hot dog vendor may be playing for some teams.

Steelers looked awful. Granted the 49ers are very good and played well but ugh on the Steelers.

I saw a video of the injury; looks to me like he ruptured his achilles, the calf reacted the same way as KD's did when he ruptured his.

Just unbelievable is all I can say, he lasted less than one series and did not complete a single pass.

The way he tossed the ball in disgust when he was on the ground said it all.

Honestly; it's terrible for both the Jets and the league, I was thinking he'd lead them to a SB, then that..............

Their defense is other worldly, we'll see what they do if in fact he's done for the year, time will tell.

Rodgers is done for the season. Have to wonder if he retires. The names being kicked around are hilarious. Brady, Flacco, Rivers. Hopefully they don't have any rope in the Jets front office. That is absolutely brutal after the big trade. Soul crushing.

I'm afraid I might be responsible. After Super Bowl III, I placed a lifelong curse on the Jets that they can never return to the SB. I really didn't mean for anyone to get hurt, but the curse was non-specific as to how it works. 54 years and counting... -- A still very bitter Baltimore Colts fan

One good thing from the Rodgers injury is that there is finally talk of getting rid of artificial turf. A source of countless injuries. Another example of the greed of owners. Not sure how they do that in a domed stadium, though.

The season has barely started, and Stetson Bennett has been put on something called the "non-football injury list." In other words, something is going on with him other than an injury to keep him off the field. He has a recent history of arrest for alcohol use. McVay would not comment. Hopefully they get it worked out but not a great way to begin your NFL career.

According to Pro Football Talk, the 49ers will wear their home jersey when they play the Rams this weekend in LA since playing there is like a home game for the 49ers.

Hopefully the Rams at least put up a struggle. They haven't matched up well in recent years against the Niners physical play. Stafford takes a beating. The Rams did win the one that counted in the NFC championship, though.

AFC North were supposed to be the terror of the league listening to the analysts....in reality after 1st week the Ravens, Bengals, Steelers all looked bad, the Browns are the toast of the North after week 1...week 2 should be interesting as all 4 teams are playing against each other.

Same thing about the AFC East; well, everyone except the Patriots, who stink......now Rodgers is out for the year, Zach Wilson come on down, Allen looked awful, like Favre heaving ball after ball into double coverage/outside of Diggs, their offense is...........offensive................Tua is one hit away from IR.

Not looking so great after one whole week.

George:

Great post.

You also forgot to mention that according to all of the “experts” the Chiefs have already won Super Bowl LVIII.

Bengals, Bills, Chiefs all lost in week one and looked pretty mediocre in doing so.

Hopefully a dark horse from the AFC will get into the SB, I'm over the Chiefs and twinkle toes with all the BS they get away with, same with the Bills, they had their shot two years ago and were 13 seconds away from hosting the AFCCG, I think their window is rapidly closing.
