N.F.L. 21-22 Season (1 Viewer)

Hard fought, playoff like game between the Niners and Rams. The Rams came up short but a lot of good signs. Stafford looks healthy and sharp. The rookie receivers are playing great. When they get Kupp back in the lineup, they are going to be much better than I anticipated. The Niners are absolutely loaded, though. They have to be odds on favorites to win it all if they stay healthy.

But for a couple of plays it could have easily gone the other way.

The Patriots lost again to Tua and Miami.

Miami with Waddle and Hill play at a different speed than the rest of the league; for the most part, the Patriots defense held the two of them in check, but the Patriots offensive line is a dumpster fire, Jones had no time to throw, got sacked four times, pressured numerous times.

Bottom line; the Patriot stink.

They have drafted like **** for a number of years, Belichick the GM has been a complete failure, he's terrible at picking the groceries.

Mac Jones is not the answer; if he is, I don't want to know what the question is.

Krafty Bob has to be nervous, will the season ticket base start to erode away with a last place finish; we'll see.

I had them at 5-12 and last place in the AFC East and I'm sticking to that; both games were "close", but close gets you nothing.

At least the uniforms looked nice. I hate those space suits the Pats now wear. Much prefer those throwbacks. I wouldn't worry too much. No way this team is winning the Super Bowl, but they are not awful. Just the misfortune to play two of the better teams to start the season.

Yeah, the throwbacks are awesome, those blue on blue clownshoes uniforms they wear are awful.................someone showed a mock up of the blue jersey with white pants and white helmets, it looked tremendous.......which means they won't be switching to that combination anytime soon.

I enjoyed watching the Pats in the old style unis, very colorful and easy to follow on field. Had visions of Parilli, Nance, Hannah, etc. -- Al

Steelers defense is world class. Steelers offense is no class. Good grief, if not for the defense, last night would have been an embarrassment. The Steelers need to fire the OFFENSIVE coordinator (he is offensive) as well as bench the QB. Combo is awful and the singular parts are worse. We have a world class receiver on the field who did explode for 1 TD, yet was targeted 10 times (and I would argue that 5 of those were so bad of throws/plays that they shouldn't count). I mean seriously?? *** kind of game plan is that. Nobody can cover that guy. Tomlin is a great coach but loyal to a fault. We are wasting some golden years of defensive personnel, just like I argued we wasted Big Ben's golden years. But what do I know, I am a real estate consultant.

On an note of irony - Steelers MNF record is incredible and when at home even greater. Guess there is that.

There was a fan killed at the Pats-Dolphins game in some type of altercation. Unreal. Imagine someone committing murder over a football game. The alcohol and drunks at these events are out of control. I went to a couple of games a few years ago. There were fights and people falling down drunk. I saw one Pittsburgh fan lean over the railing and throw up on the folks below. Complete animals. I suppose the beer sales are so profitable that the NFL owners would never end it, but the fights and injuries are a direct result of the alcohol. It's a shame that people can't control themselves and others are too greedy to address it.

The Boston Patriots of the 1960's;

Nance to the left.
Nance to the right.
Nance to the middle.
Punt.

The Patriots caught grief over the old school uniforms; "The British wore red in the AWI, not the Americans!!"...........

Umm, that is not the point of the uniform colors; RED, white and blue..........the colors of the flag.

Reports are there were **** tons of Dolphins fans at the game; makes sense as Patriots season ticket holders are bailing on this dumpster fire of a team, so they are selling their tickets to out of town bozos for comically high prices.

A Dolphins fan was taunting this guy for a good portion of the game, they had words, the Dolphins fan clocked him and we went down like a bag of cement.................not sure if he had a stroke or heart attack or died from the punch/hitting the ground unconscious.

As you said, these people are animals, they get to the stadium super early and get annihilated in the parking lots, stagged up to the stadium and get into brawls left and right.

Disgusting morons.

My cousin sent me a video of some guy going postal at the end of the game Rams vs 49ers.........Rams down ten, they are rushing down the field, clock the ball with 4 seconds left, kick a FG, down 7, then the game ends.

He insists "Vegas made a call" as the spread was 7, now everyone is screwed, with the spread, it's a tie, Vegas wins.

Seriously?

The Rams kicked the FG to be down 7, had hoped to do an onside kick, recover it and try a hail mary to tie it; that is SOP in the NFL down 10, you take the 3 points FIRST, they tried the same thing in the second SB vs the Patriots, but "Greg the Leg" missed it wide left by about 40 yards, he "Kudiffed" that kick badly.

And not to be confused; it was the second SB where the Rams lost to the Patriots, not the first won where they also lost, people get those two confused sometimes.

I love degenerate gamblers going postal when they blow the rent money.

If McVay takes a knee there, they complain it was fixed as well. Much ado about nothing. It was a great game. The Rams held their own against the best team in the NFL. That was the good news. The rookie receiver Nacua broke an NFL record for most receptions in the first two games. Stafford looks healthy. Kupp will be returning soon. The Rams won't win the SB but they are least fielding a competitive team this year. I'll take a 1-1 start with a road game win in Seattle and then tough game against the Niners. I can't remember, but does point differential play into the tie breaker rules? If so, it makes perfect sense to kick the FG.

Point differential is one of the 9,000 different things they use in case of a tiebreaker from what I can remember.

He 1000% made the right call there, you kick the FG, then if time allows, try for the onside kick.

As you mentioned, imagine if they took a knee there, the degenerate gamblers would blow a gasket over that too.

He's very good, young coach, I'd take him in a heartbeat over the guy we have here who still thinks it's 1992 and you win in the NFL with defense.

He's dead wrong, the game has passed him by, he should really retire already.

Anytime you win in Seattle with all those loons in the stands, you're doing great.

The Niners are 3-0 which is nice but the playoffs are still a long way off so the media and Niner fans can slow down on the Super Bowl Champs talk.

They’re one of the best two or three teams in the NFC (if you count the Cowboys) and Purdy continues to improve week to week. They don’t overpower you, they just grind you town. This team is so stacked they could afford to give Aiyuk a week off. They shouldn’t be overconfident but SB talk is real and justified.

Injuries are the great equalizer in the extended NFL season. A team can go 17-0 and then lose their QB and a few key players and it is over in a blink of an eye. Head coaches haven't adjusted to two things. The injuries piling up to QBs and the ability of kickers to routinely make kicks over 50 yards. You rarely see an NFL coach rest his starter even in garbage time. Maybe incentives in the contract make the coach afraid they will anger a player if they don't play them for an entire game. You also rarely see smart use of the clock at the end of the game. Instead of milking the clock a team will score and leave plenty of time for the other team to reach the 40-yard line or so and kick the winning FG. A couple of long first downs and most teams are in FG range with a good NFL kicker.

Or they can go 17-0 with no injuries and get to the Super Bowl and choke away the second perfect season in the Super Bowl Era and lose to a stiff team that if they played each other 100 times, they'd win 99 times.

I put the blame on that loss on Belicheat, he did not have that team ready to play, massive failure.

But the offensive line holding on the Tyree catch was................something, one lineman had Seymour in a head lock, another was choking Jarvis Green out, no flag on either mugging.

****ing joke, right out of the Ben Dreith school of officiating.
