N.F.L. 21-22 Season (2 Viewers)

And that's why they play the games...After listening to every pundit for the last 2 weeks predict a SF victory, led by Super MVP Purdy, it was extremely satisfying to see the Ravens win last night's game. Don't know that it means much in the long run, I was just pleased to see it happen. Nothing against SF, as they have been playing really well, it was just the 'experts' all underestimated Baltimore. -- Al

It's no big deal being a underdog or the other team is favored to win, but when you have the likes of a Mike Florio of the world say the 49'ers will beat Ravens ***, dismantle them, a Superbowl rematch would suck as the 49'ers would kill them twice, ...Jackson called florio out on his predictions last night and Florio had a nice plate of Humble pie, and offered a half baked apology ...Ravens are in a good place, no talk of Rankings, MVP, etc...all just noise, Coaches and players are focused on one game at a time.

GJGE last night by the 49er's specifically Purdy, did someone forget to tell him the 49ers were the guys in red last night?

He sucked last night, looked all the part of the last guy taken in the draft; his 4th INT was pathetic, who was he throwing that ball to?

So now the AFC goes through Baltimore as long as they beat the Doofins next week; great.

I get to see Harblow on the sidelines with that **** eating grin on his face all playoffs long.

Wonderful.

Ravens had a good game. 49ers a bad one. My money is still not on Lamar in the playoffs. Until he proves me wrong when it matters, no belief here.

Lamar as a starter 56-19....1 playoff win, in a world of what have you done for me lately.....hopefully this is fuel for his fire as he even brought up the 2019 season in his post interview last night about winning and getting bounced in first round by Tennessee.

For all the hue and cry about the Niners loss, it will be a meaningless game if they maintain home field advantage. They get the hapless Deadskins this week. The Rams might give them a game with the playoffs possibly on the line but the Niners should win if they need that game to close out home field. The loss is more likely a wakeup call before the playoffs. The Bills are playing well in the AFC. The Chiefs not so much. It should be Baltimore or Buffalo on the AFC side. The Eagles are not looking good but still likely to make the NFC championship game with the Niners.

One playoff win but four losses.

That first pick changed the game, the second and third could have happened to anyone but the fourth was bad, Zach Wilson-esque. I also think the Ravens were more physical than the Niners. I remember when the Giants played the Bears in the playoffs in 85, the Bears were more physical and intense than the Giants who thought they, the Giants, were pretty physical and intense. The Giants learned they needed to take it up a notch. Perhaps the 49ers learned that lesson too.

I heard the best quote this week on the NFL Network from( someone who should be renamed Captain Obvious) that all but shuts down the ridiculous over analyzation that fills the current football news airwaves:

No one is undefeated, and every team has at least 3 loses, so any team can be beaten a few different ways.

King Pete must fall on the ground laughing at the Russell Wilson trade that he pulled off. He did what almost no coach or GM will do. Cut bait with an aging, overpaid star and trade him while he still has some value instead of resigning him to a mega deal. The Broncos have benched Russell for the remainder of this season. They are paying him $242 million to watch the games.

Flacco looked like he was time warped into 2012 playoffs last night, I'll always love Joe but how does a guy play so poorly the last 3 or 4 years, cut by the Jets 😳...sits at home playing catch with his kids, shows up and now has 4 games in a row of 300 yards or better 4 weeks straight and gets the Browns in the playoffs??? NFL is a crazy game, it has to happen that the Ravens and Browns meet in the playoffs this year.

The Ravens are honoring Ray Rice as a legend of the game.

The organization and its fans should be ashamed.

Bizarre ending to the Lions game. The refs call a penalty after the apparent game winning 2-point conversion by the Lions. I'm not familiar enough with the rule but it sure looked like the guy reported to the refs. What else was he saying to them in that situation? You like to think these games are not fixed but this one is very odd. Regardless, after the penalty the Lions should have kicked the extra point to send the game into OT.

Refereeing in the NFL reaches a new low. This guy is the Angel Hernandez of the NFL.

As a Ravens fan, I didn't expect to see Rice as a legend of the game material, that being said, Rice has dedicated many years since his release in being a better person in the community and out, from what I read he has done many good things, what he did was beyond forgiving, and people can judge a man by his actions, and after 2023 I'm the last person to judge someone else, but hopefully Rice will continue on the road to being a better person.

The playoff implications of that screw up are enormous after the Eagles loss today. The Eagles may drop from #2 to #5 seed. My Rams are hanging tough. They tried every way possible to give the game away today but the Giants refused to win.

I agree as in a way, he is the only one who actually got what he deserved. Assault and Battery NO MATTER WHAT should be an unforgivable offense as far as a job goes. That said, glad to see he bettered himself as a person, well............he should. I am sick and tired of all the bs about coddling people and the whole rehabilitation thing. BS. You own your problems, you fix them. Period. If you move on to other chances, so be it, if you earn it, you earn it, but some things you just don't have the right to get back.

Now, as to Rice, the dirty secret that no one wants to admit is, the reason he wasn't able to rejoin a program is b/c as an aging running back, NO one wanted him. So while Bischotti and the Ravens stand on morals, the truth is they didn't and wouldn't spend the money to bring him back b/c in their opinion he was washed up and not worth the asking price.

I am a firm believer in that people willingly make choices and you have to live with those choices. You made the bed, you lie in it.

Nuff said.

This may have been the worst call of the year. I hate to say that scripts are written, but the NFL of the last few weeks leaves a lot to be desired. IMO, the product from the majority of teams is SO bad on the field that they are going to script how the playoffs shake out. Do I really believe this, probably not, but man oh man lots of calls going to certain teams right now and this one was probably the worst I have ever seen. Either the referree is deaf, dumb and blind or he is crooked in this one. Video don't lie!@

Big Ben accused of Rape in 2 different cases and settled out of court on one of them, but I can't seem to remember you asking for his dismissal Tom??...Rape? Punch?? Seem to be both Crimes, but Rice's was caught on camera being the difference, either way, Rice got banished for whatever reason, seems to have put pieces together with his wife and children now...I'll agree with Brad, everyone deserves a second chance, be it if he was a Raven, Steeler etc......on that note Tom, you may not want to listen to the local news, Television, social media the next few days ..😉
