N.F.L. 21-22 Season (1 Viewer)

Gotta give Lamar and the Ravens some credit here. The Ravens crushed 2 of the NFL's best teams in consecutive games, outscoring SF and Miami 89-38. Lamar made a strong bid for MVP honors by going 41-56, with 573 passing yards and throwing 7 TD's with no interceptions in the 2 games and adding 80 yards rushing in the games. Ravens seem to be peaking at the right time and hopefully can carry it over to the playoffs. -- Al

Big Ben accused of Rape in 2 different cases and settled out of court on one of them, but I can't seem to remember you asking for his dismissal Tom??...Rape? Punch?? Seem to be both Crimes, but Rice's was caught on camera being the difference, either way, Rice got banished for whatever reason, seems to have put pieces together with his wife and children now...I'll agree with Brad, everyone deserves a second chance, be it if he was a Raven, Steeler etc......on that note Tom, you may not want to listen to the local news, Television, social media the next few days ..😉

I don't understand your post. I don't think any of them should get away with it. I don't remember ever defending Big Ben, but he was never formally charged, convicted or anything of the sort. He certainly seemed to have acted like an idiot, but I can only figure that based on the Steelers track record with those type of incidents, there must not have been anything really to the charges. The Steelers are very quick historically to get rid of many stars and future stars, all you have to do is look at the string of interior defensive linemen who were dismissed for brushes with the law.

The Ravens, honestly, have a very sordid history with legal issues. Of course, Ray Lewis is among the biggest. There is no question he was there, no question he obstructed justice. The only question that ever sat out there was was he involved and I figure he knew exactly what happened but for some reason that has never been disclosed, he would not tell the truth to the police. End of day, we will probably never know what really happened unless he writes a book and even then, his version of the events have been well scripted for years. Not sure if anyone ever followed this to the end, but Lewis paid both victim's families a huge settlement to avoid a civil trial (in civil you only need a preponderance of evidence) that would have surely released more details. Additionally, the police never recovered the infamous white suit with blood on it, Lewis was never forced to produce it. As I said, we will never know what really happened, but he should thank his lucky stars he was not kicked out of the NFL or worse. Hard for me (not as a Steelers fan) to respect him, great football career, but you have to wonder what type of person he is.

I thought the Ravens made a mistake resigning Lamar to a mega deal but he has proven me wrong. He is the MVP this season and they have a chance to win the SB because of him. With that said "Small Game" Lamar is still hanging out there. If the Ravens choke again in the playoffs, it will not be pretty. The fans and media will come down on him like a ton of bricks. He has never risen to the occasion in college or NFL.

One of the toughest schedules in the NFL.this year, traveled the most miles for away games combined, injuries, beat all 4 division leaders when Ravens played them..Lions, 49'ers, Jaguars, Dolphins and none were even close....The MVP stuff doesn't seem to interest Jackson which I'm glad to hear, after yesterday's game, he was all about moving on to next week,....defense playing well enough to keep this team in any playoff game, my only worry is the time off between resting player's, bye, that's 3 weeks before a meaningful game....and 2019 isn't forgotten by the Ravens players or fans

I've watched Lamar since he became a Raven and the biggest improvement??? He's matured not only as a player but a man, before when the team won there was a bunch of social media for Lamar, not this year, he's taking the Harbaugh one week at a time, forget the noise, good or bad, stay focused on 1 week at a time.....you are correct, he lost to Chargers his rookie season, lost to Titans in Division round, lost to a good Bills team..1-3 isn't nothing to hang your hat on, hopefully he can change those numbers to his benefit in 2024

The Rams clinched a playoff spot! They are playing great. Better than any other team in the NFC with the exception of SF. They have won six out of the last seven with the only loss being to the Ravens in OT. Right now, they would get the Lions in the first playoff game. If so, my spidey senses tell me that the media will overhype the Stafford vs Goff matchup. The former Lions QB returns to Detroit to play against the former Rams QB.

Agree, thus far. But man are you right. He chokes, there will be an all out avalanche here. For the love of God, people just don't get this is a game. Sun rises tomorrow, etc. Cracks me up. If he wins a SB, then he was worth it, they choke, again, dumbest move ever.

My life experiences when it comes to domestic violence lead me to say I respectfully disagree.

You can disagree all you want but from all appearances he and his wife are happily married with children and he’s gone through intensive counseling.

Be that as it may people in life when they make a mistake deserve another chance to live a fruitful life.

What a ****show in Baltimore yesterday, I didn't watch but saw enough lowlights to be glad I didn't, give Pitt their flowers as they did enough to win.....Going to be a long 2 week wait for the Ravens before Division round game.....today's game, give me Miami, ( can't take anymore Allen, Diggs) drama, and hope Jags can get a win, and the Pack/Bears game should be interesting.

Watched the Steelers, since it really was the Super Bowl for me - beating Baltimore twice in one season. However, that said, star of the show and I can't believe I am saying this is Mason Rudolph, he pitched a near perfect game. Deep slant to D. Johnson for the td was one of the better plays I have seen. It was a monsoon on the field and the Steeler running game controlled the second half. I have never seen conditions that bad, worse than when I went and saw Ben's last game in Baltimore and that was wet. Those type of conditions really change a game. End of day, it will be a meaningless game overall, but worth the watch for me.

Tom-
Good to see your Steelers make the cut. They looked doomed a few weeks ago but hung tough. Tomlin is a solid guy which is the outlier in the NFL. The NFL season is now a marathon, and every team has gone through a funk at some point. What is happening to the Eagles is unreal. Some teams come apart when the going gets tough.

The Rams are rolling. A meaningless game but beating SF on the road always feels good. Wentz was clutch. Puka is a star.

Oh boy, I think the Steelers are still doomed, keep waiting for the clock to strike "12" on Mason Rudolph. That said, as a fan, I think it is great what he is doing after sitting on the bench at 3rd string for 3 yrs and not getting any chance.

The only game difficult game to call next weekend will be Eagles vs Tampa. Not sure if the Eagles will show up.

Otherwise, Buffalo, Cleveland and KC. Haven’t checked the odds but sure they’re favored.

In the NFC, Detroit and Dallas (easily) should prevail.

For those who want to watch the KC game, it’s on Peacock so unless you have it or sign up for it, you won’t be able to watch it.

The Lions? LOL. The Rams may be the best team in the NFC right now. Nothing easy about that game. Just ask the Niners.

The 49ers played that game yesterday without many of their starters so as you said yesterday it was a meaningless game. Otherwise, it would have been the same result it’s been for the Rams against the Niners in the past few years during the regular season: L. They barely survived last week against a poor Giants team who, if they’d had a kicker, would have won. Lions are 3.5 point favorites and deservedly so.

A little touchy for losing a meaningless game. Of course, the Rams also played without most of their starters. It was meaningless in terms of the playoffs but a big morale booster ending the season as a winner instead of losing at home. The Lions are a good team and may very well win at home but being a 3.5 point favorite doesn't mean they are going to win easily. The Rams ended the season winning seven out of the last eight games with only an OT loss to the Ravens in Baltimore. The Niners ended the season losing two of the last three games including getting blown out at home by the Ravens. I think they played that one with most of their starters.

There’s no question the Niners got their heads handed to them by the Ravens who are the best team going into the playoffs but who also lost their last game in a meaningless game for them. Although beating the 49ers may make the Rams feel good, it was meaningless for the both of them. I guess we will find out on Sunday who will proceed to the divisional round.

Just catching up on playoffs for this weekend, 🙄🙄 so now you have to have local channels, ( basic cable) ESPN, NFL Network, Amazon Prime, and now NBC Peacock to watch regular season and playoffs....wow, can't wait to see the pay-per-view Superbowl highlights.
