N.F.L. 24-25 Season (2 Viewers)

Someone floated the idea of Belichick going there; why?

He's having a ball in his new multiple media roles, why would he want to go to New York and coach the Jets?
Not to mention all the fun he's having with that 22 year old girlfriend of his!!! :) :)

My Cowboys are just a train wreck wrapped in an atomic bomb sitting on the table in front of the old bags from The View

Man, that is a great post. I literally laughed out loud. Nice! But your Cowboys beat my Steelers, you got that going for ya! Steelers are one rail away from a train wreck in my opinion. Just waiting for the balloon to pop.

I have been following the NFL from afar, but even I have noticed that the Wilson vs. Fields debate dominates the storylines.

From a national news perspective Tomlin is a genius who should not be questioned.

I can’t help but wonder what hometown Steeler fans think?

The constant narrative of him never having a losing season seems to be applause and contentment with mediocrity.

Watched bits and pieces of games via the red zone..........overall, it's a really ****ty product.
You've been calling out the league for a few years now and the more I read it the more I hate to admit you are right- anyone watching a Panthers game can attest. It will be interesting to see where the Goodell years rank in the history of the NFL in 30 years or so.

Nail on head. Tomlin is a great coach and he is a Steelers guy but imo everyone gets stale. The problem is who else would you get. I honestly think if tomlin and harbaugh switch places you will have SB champions in Pittsburgh and Baltimore the next 3 out of 5 years.

Thanks for the response.

The poor Brits; having this game today inflicted on them, two of the worst teams in the league, the Patriots probably are THE worst team in the league; between this and the American Revolution, they must really hate the U.S.

They were considering playing the game in Mexico City until someone realized there would probably be no fans there to attend since they have all come across the border over the last four years.

Brandon Aubrey is the place kicker for the Boyz. He has got to be the most underutilized offensive weapon in recent memory. The game against the Browns McCarthy was lining him up for a 71 yard FG attempt- he had already nailed a 66 yarder. If I am Dallas- the blueprint for success is smacking you right in the face- with the new kickoff rules and the strength of Aubrey's leg- you need to put together a 25-35 yard drive to be within Aubrey's scoring range- that's it- you need to put together a 25-35 yard drive, move the ball and then bring him in- It isn't pretty but it sure beats the 1 TD or couple FGs they have put up of late leaving the Defense to get pummeled and embarrased. I do think if some of these offenses get wise to their place kicking potential, it is going to change the dynamic of the game to some extent where offenses battle for field goal position instead of red zone possession.

Well, pleasantly surprised by the Steelers yesterday. Still not sure if they are any good, but it was a pleasant surprise.

The Steelers play great defense, they are always well coached and have a great home field advantage with their fans. What they have been lacking the last couple of years is a competent QB. They have two this year. They are a playoff caliber team. Of course, it also helps to be playing the hapless Jets. They are an embarrassment. You can't blame it on a lack of talent. They have some talented skill players. They are just the worst run organization in all of sports.

They put all their eggs in a soon to be 41 year old/toxic personality/diva QB, he's the one who got Saleh fired.

2-5, wow, that's only one less loss than the worst team in the NFL/Patriots.

I am not a fan of blaming injuries for loses but the Niners offensive core is just decimated.

Their best offensive weapon McCaffrey has not played all season, their $30 mil receiver Ayuk is done for the year and Debo Samuel’s recent pneumonia required hospitalization.

My wife showed me a pretty hilarious meme this morning- The Jets signed Uncle Rico (Napoleon Dynamite) and decided to part ways with Aaron Rodgers- details were undisclosed- it showed a picture of Uncle Rico rocking a #2 Jets jersey lol

I don't think you are wrong in blaming injuries at all- with Micah Parsons going down now, Dallas is all but shot too (Especially with the inept coaching). It's the reality of the 17 (soon to be 18) game season- I just don't get it from a financial standpoint- the Super Bowl and playoff success is so far away and seems to be a competition between who has fewer players on the walking wounded. To me, it makes less sense to sink tons of money into A+ elite talent and more sense to spend less money on capable players who can be replaced with someone else when they go down with injury- it just seems like teams suffer one or two key injuries and their seasons are over- the Browns lost Watson for the season and Aidan Hutchinson is out now too- the 49ers started the season just decimated and Dallas quickly followed suit.

Great post.

I forgot to mention that the Niners’ first round draft pick, Ricky Pearsall, was shot in the chest before the season started.

The Rams are a completely different team with a healthy Kupp and Puka in the lineup. Puka is one tough guy.

I watched a couple of games yesterday.

I know the game is geared towards offense but defenses are not doing themselves any favors with their garbage tackling.

Enough with trying to punch the ball out, just make the tackle.

And I am still not sure how missing the ball on those punches is anything more than an uppercut or body blow.

So according to ESPN and other sports news outlets, the Patriots beat the Jets yesterday?

What?

Really?

My first thought was "Maybe this Maye kid is pretty good"; then I found out he got hurt and their back up marched the team down the field and scored with under a minute left to win it.

They're both 2-6?

Leave it to the Jets to land Rodgers; and still be the Jets.
