N.F.L. 24-25 Season (1 Viewer)

I am not sure there is a more pathetic, attention starved, piece of garbage pro athlete who can equal Baker Mayfield.

How low do you have to stoop to mock a back-up QB’s touchdown cerebration?

It is my sincere hope that we get to watch his continued spiral into sports mediocrity.

As they say in Austin - OU SUCKS - we can change it to BAKER SUCKS.

I have a lot of grudging respect for the 49ers. Great coach, tough players, tradition, big fan base, but as a Rams fan I can't help but take pleasure in the wheels coming off the cart. They looked like Italian soldiers at Stalingrad last night in Buffalo. That team bus couldn't back up to the locker room soon enough for them. In that crappy division, a .500 team could finish on top but the Niners are having a very tough season.

Liked seeing the old Pats uniforms. I hate those space suits they ordinarily wear. Why change a good thing? That poor kicker for the Ravens. He went from the best to the worst kicker in one season. Once you start having to think about it, it becomes a jinx.

My early SB predict is Philadelphia vs Buffalo.

Tip of the cap for the begrudgingly offered respect to the Niners.

I agree with most of the aspects of your post especially about SF and NE.

However, I still think the Chiefs will win the Super Bowl.

Best game of the year between the Rams and Bills. Puka is an animal. Even Brady in the booth repeating that "A+ throw" business over and over couldn't ruin it.

Jim Har-Blow has always been a creepy dude but he looks like the love child of the Unabomber and Penguin tonight with his mouth hanging open and waddling around on the sideline. Super weird.

Mahomes/Kelce - even though everyone on the field, fans, etc knows Kelce is getting the ball...........................he still gets the ball to convert and ice the game basically. They seem to be unbeatable.
TD

Debo Samuel complained via Twitter (aka X) that he has not been targeted enough.

Last night via football he was targeted 7 times. He had 4 drops, 16 yards and an offsides penalty.

Football wins.

12-6 and no TDs. That was not pretty for either team. The problems are mounting in SF. Campbell apparently refused to play and left the sideline for the locker room. The wheels have come off the cart for the Niners this season. Their season is effectively over.

I'm doubling down on Buffalo and Philly for the SB after this last weekend. The Chiefs are looking shaky even while winning. I think their run will end. Josh Allen is on fire. The Eagles running game and defense are perfect for a SB run.

Multiple sports websites listed this headline yesterday regarding the Niners Dolphins game:

“RB Isaac Guerendo unlikely to play against Dolphins”

Who cares? That game is meaningless, then I read more and noticed that article ended by listing the spread and over/under.

Cowboys, Niners, and Cards were all eliminated today. Quite a fall for the Niners. Injuries were a killer. My Rams are surging like a sloth. Ugly win over the Jets but winning ugly is still winning.

It’s probably not meaningless to some of the players; some are playing for jobs next year.

Some brutal games to watch this week. The overhyped Netflix games one of which was a 31-2 blowout. The brutally ugly Seachickens-Bears 6-3 game. And now Harblow and his Chargers spanking the Pats like they were Ohio St. and he had stole all their signals.

The Rams are somehow 10-6 and on the verge of winning their division despite starting the season 1-4 and even losing to the Bears. They looked fugly tonight but winning is winning.

I have a ton of respect for what the Rams have done this season.

They have overcome major injuries while essentially winning the NFC West.

I like the fact that the Niners played all of their starters in a meaningless game but it was too risky.

Detroit was playing for the No. 1 seed next week either way, there was no harm to the integrity of the game if they sat everyone.

The NFL is still in season....................................................boring with a capital B. I made a dinner reservation for this Saturday for the family at 745. Right before the Steelers game, in year's past I would have never done that. My wife even asked my son and I if we were sure...........not sure who answered first but Steak Au Poivre won out faster than Xavier Worthy can run the 40 for the Chiefs!

Tom:

What a great post, I think this really sums up how many true fans feel.

I have watched the local Niner pre and post game shows for years. Gone are the days where they focused on the team and the actual game.

Too many people care more about Xavier Worthy’s stats than they do who wins.

It has all been replaced by point spreads, over/unders and fantasy crap.

The product, and more importantly to me, its focus is fading.
