Jason...
both the new GM and new head coach say they are not gonna trade him...
head coach says the main reason he took the job was to play Watson...
Watson's reason for leaving was that they traded Hopkins (WR) and hired the new GM without his input...
it was in his contract that he would have a voice in both these things...
$40 million a year is a ton...that's probably what Dallas is gonna end up paying Dak...
I think Houston/Watson will work it out...
but I think there will be suitors...and plenty of offers from them...
Watson is the complete package...
young...smart...mobile...can make all the passes...his stats speak for themselves...
tough be to a good player stuck on a bad team...
Watts says he want to leave too...lol...
Hearing stafford to rams for Goff, 2 future 1st round picks and a third round.
That’s a lot to give up! Rams must think with stafford they are Super Bowl bound
I have not heard anything about his contract containing any sort of language regarding his consultation on trades and hiring. What has been reported on local Texas news is that he was “upset” that he wasn’t consulted on the hiring of a new coach.
If, and I stress the word if, he had a contract stipulation on trades and he wasn’t consulted on the Hopkins transaction he would have “demanded” a trade prior to the start of the 2020 campaign as Hopkins was traded before this season started.
Jason...
maybe it wasn't in the contract...but more of a verbal agreement...either way...he feels offended...
Star quarterback Deshaun Watson is reportedly "extremely unhappy" with the organization after being told by owner Cal McNair that Watson would be involved in the hiring process for Houston's new GM and coach, but was not involved in Caserio's hiring, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Watson's dissatisfaction does not have to do with the team hiring Caserio, per Rapoport, but rather the fact that Watson's role in the hiring process was not as substantial as he believed it would be.
Watson reportedly provided input on potential GM candidates, though none of them were considered or consulted, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Watson was also not informed that Caserio would be hired, and found out about the decision on social media.

Prediction time. I'm not doing so well picking against Brady, but I'm doubling down. This game may be a return to the Super Bowl blowouts of yesteryear. Can't see the Bucs D shutting down Mahomes like they did Rodgers. Their secondary is not very good. Brady will throw a couple of picks and it will get ugly. The Chiefs are one offsides penalty away from three SB wins in a row.

I was all set to cheer for a Tampa Bay victory, mostly due to my dislike of Andy Reid.
Then I saw Antonio Brown’s interview and I decided to not root for anyone.
Oh well, maybe the commercials will be good.
I used to really like him when he was on the Steelers, basically a wonderful story - 6th round pick, humble hero, then it all went to crap. He was the only receiver in recent history the Steelers bought in to after his rookie contract. He had the world and potential Hall of Fame in his hands. Now, it is hard to look at him with anything other than contempt. I think he is a predator in more ways than one, it will be interesting to see if he ever suffers any real legal consequences for his actions. It appears from reading , he will be in court for quite some time on civil cases. The question will always be - is being a first class jerk and acting like one a crime? I think the jury is literally and figuratively still out.
I do believe his football skills have suffered during the last few years, but you never know, he has the talent and ability to change a game. If he gets hot in the SB, watch out.

What's not to like about Andy Reid? He seems like a very decent fellow. Certainly compared to the likes of many other ego maniac NFL coaches.
