N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (1 Viewer)

Don’t forget the Pats are 3-5 on the road this year so I wouldn’t be as sure as you seem to be.

I feel more comfortable in the Saints beating the Rams. Sometimes in your first playoff game you’re a little nervous. Except for the first quarter and a half, the Saints were in charge of the game. The Eagles did nothing offensively after that, except for the last drive. They’ve got the cobwebs out and I think we’ll see a high powered offensive game from both teams.

With all of Brady's unbelievable playoff numbers, I read that he still has won only three total road playoff games in his career. It's a tough nut to go on the road and win against a team that has home field. I wouldn't be shocked if the Pats do it, but the Chiefs are the favorites. Sounds like the weather is going to be better than expected in the 20s. That helps the Chiefs.

Exact opposite for me.

The Patriots will beat the Chiefs. The weather will be irrelevant, sports are more predictable than people want to believe. I'll use the Patriots and Golden State in the NBA as examples of that.

The Rams will beat the Saints. As much as I want the Saints to win, they barely beat the Eagles. LA is much better than Philadelphia.

New England vs. LA in the Super Bowl. New England will win it.

I hope you are right on the Rams. My concern is that their D doesn't hold up on the road. Goff has looked hit and miss down the stretch. The running game has really come on but if that dries up it could get ugly.

According to a site I looked at, they have played 30 non SB playoff games in the Belichick era, 23 at home and seven on the road; they are 3-4 away, which is probably why George is concerned about today's game.

I really hate those NFL pre-game shows with their endless human interest stories to fill time. Bradshaw was amusing for a while but his drivel hit the wall about five years ago. He is a spoof of himself now. Play ball.

The key to this game is health and this is the healthiest the Patriots have been all year long, not a single starter on the injury report.

This game reminds me of the 2005 AFCCG, the Patriots were on the road then too, 14-2 vs the 15-1 Steelers who had a rookie QB who lit up the league and the Patriots confused the **** out of him, he threw two INT's including a backbreaking PIC 6.

We'll see how Mahomes, another rookie, does today, the Patriots are going to play man, not zone and spy him, they'll throw the kitchen sink at him.

I hope the Patriots run the ball today, keep it away from Mahomes and eat the clock, he cant' beat you sitting on the bench.

About 5 more hours to go, this is painful waiting around...……………..

I think it’s absurd that in domed stadiums we have two sets of rules, one where the offense can hear the play that’s being called and one where the offense is drowned out. Both teams should play with the same set of rules and playing conditions.

Boy, if the Saints lose this game, they’re going to be livid about that no interference call.

and they should be...2 series ago on 3rd down they missed another pass interference against LA...tough calls for NO...

Saints game is bogus and this is why people are sick of the NFL. Terrible officiating in the secondary and it all went against the Saints including the late game no call that was inexcusable.

You cannot have games decided by officials and unfortunately, it appears this may be the case here.

Congrats to Rams and Doug — and Jason, I guess. You have to give the Rams a lot of credit.

Let the Saints screaming over that non call begin.

the interception play...
Bree's flutter ball...
they could have called pass interference on that too...

the refs decided this game...

I think LA played the better game...
but they sure got some breaks on no calls...

if they had called interference on the red zone play...
it would have been first and goal with less than 2 minutes left...

but again...
LA did outplay them today and got lucky on a few no calls...

Whew. That kick would have been good from 70 yards. In the new NFL, you have to play to win when kickers are money from 50 plus yards. I read this morning that this officiating crew called the fewest penalties. They let them play all day long. The Saints offense didn't look right down the stretch. They struggled against the Eagles and they had chances early in this game to put it away but settled for FGs. Onward. Good luck to George and his Pats.

This is the most nervous I’ve been as a pats fan in a long time!

The Pats D suddenly looks like the steel curtain. Unbelievable choke so far by KC. Reid better come up with something at the half. The good news is that they are only down 14. KC's offense can cover that if they get back on track.

I'm a neutral fan, but the " no call" was pretty bad. Chris

Congrats to the Pats, it was a great game.

My only comment and it is the same as it has been all year - Refs are awful across the board, it is just ridiculous.
