N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (1 Viewer)

I am amazed how the Patriots have been written off after their loss to the Ravens.

Give Belichick a full seasons worth of tape and he will find a way to stop Jackson. Not to mention I can't see New England losing to anyone twice in a season.

New England is still my pick to win the Super Bowl.

i do agree with this somewhat and I believe honestly the pats have an edge by losing previously as it takes away some pressure. That said, I have that sinking feeling I get when the ravens start winning

I like the cut of your jib.

RPO offenses give the Patriots fits, see the Iggles in the Super Bowl two years ago.

Any sort of gimmicky offense is their undoing.

During this incredible 19 year run, two AFC teams have driven the Patriots nuts; the Broncos and the Ravens, specifically the Ravens with that annoying crybaby of a coach who surrounds himself with great coordinators and basically lets them run the show...……………..I hope I am wrong but they just don't have any answers for a gimmicky QB like the one the Ravens have, just shadow him, ASSUME he is going to keep the ball and neutralize him.

In the old days, if he did an RPO handoff and ran along side the RB until the last second, you used to be able to light him up, but not anymore, that's why he's had so much success, knock him on his *** a few times and he'll slow right down, but you can't do that in todays NFL, it will be flag city.

I can see them rolling the Patriots...………………..we'll see, a lot of season still to be played, I hate, hate, HATE rooting for other teams to lose, hoping the Steelers can knock them off, the 49ers, the whoevers, it's annoying to have to hope they lose. If they finish tied in the WL department, the Ravens get home field.

I really can't see the Ravens finishing worse than 13-3, I really can't see the Patriots finishing better than 13-3, so off to Baltimore we go...…………….gee, that's just swell, those escaped mental patients in the stands will be whipped up into a frenzy...……………..what a nightmare scenario.

As a resident of the Great Socialist State of Maryland, I resent the reference to Raven fans as escaped mental patients. They have not escaped at all, but are part of our advanced out-reach program to provide meaningful existence for one and all and are thus provided with free tickets. Admittedly, though, the stands in Baltimore are filled with many escaped Redskin fans who have followed the B/W Parkway north to a winning football program. Dan Snyder has tried to close the DC border to prevent the exodus, but to no avail. The movement is just too widespread and escape routes too numerous. -- Al

My son and I were thinking of going to the 49er game in Baltimore but we want to come out alive! {eek3}

The last time I went to any ballgame in Baltimore, Cal Ripken was still playing. I did make several trips to Towson when my son went to college there, but avoided going into B-more. Not my favorite city to visit since the Colts left.:rolleyes2: -- Al

As a Rams fan who just went to a Steelers game, I can't advise it. Most of the home town fans are fine if you don't antagonize them too much. I see a lot of road team fans, however, trying to draw attention to themselves and getting a lot of abuse. I would just recommend watching from home where it is warm and save yourself the aggravation of traveling, sitting in the cold, paying hundreds of dollars for the privilege of being surrounded by drunks who talk through the entire game etc.

Brad...
good luck there...
I have seen too many Youtube videos...
that make me concerned about a road trip like that...
I'll send flowers to your funeral if something goes wrong...

Thank all for your input. It’s a shame that it’s come to this but that’s the reality, sadly. My son doesn’t even want to go to an Angel game at Yankee Stadium because of the grief he gets there from Yankee fans.

Mike, please send yellow roses :wink2:

Great summary, why I gave up my tickets. It is just every stadium it seems like nowadays. They check their brains at the gate.

Well, I hate being right but the Steeler Offense can single handedly lose any game they choose. I can't even watch it on tv, I have looked periodically online and good lawd they are awful. If I was the defense, I would tackle Mason Rudolph on the sideline and not let him go in the game. HE SUCKS. He has thrown 3 Intereceptions to the Browns.....................… Summary thus far - Steelers Offense has 7 points and has given away 14. Score is 21 to 7, once again the Steelers D is tied or ahead of the opponent, yet we will lose this game.

Frustrating beyond belief, I just want to know how we decide to keep this moron.

The Browns are a dirty team and they deserved all those ejections they received tonight.

Tomorrow Myles Garrett will release a statement apologizing to the Cleveland fans, his teammates, the NFL etc. saying that is not who I am, anyone who knows me knows that's not who I am. Despite the fact that everyone who watched that game now knows that is exactly who he is.

Imagine Deacon Jones or Jack Lambert writing a statement of apology. LOL. Jones said his avowed intent was to send the QB to the hospital. When you see that clip of Bradshaw getting pile driven into the ground you know how much the NFL has changed. The Browns have been criticized and mocked all season long. Last night they opened a can of Captain Insano's whoop -ss on the Steelers. And the Steelers did what they should have. They gave him a few kicks in the head while he was on the ground. But now it will be all apologies and hysteria. Rudolph is an annoying guy. I think he checked his hair after getting hit with that helmet. He should be more concerned with how awful he is playing.

With about 5 minutes to go in the game, I said to myself I should turn this game and go back to my book. Then I said, oh, what the hell, I might as well stick it out. Glad I did. Melee of the year.

What a disaster for the Steelers. They not only lost an important game, but several offensive players were injured and suspended making their anemic offense potentially even worse. And Rudolph may eventually get suspended for his role in the fight. The Browns are apparently only a game out of the wild card position despite having a losing record. What a league. Can't wait until they go to 18-games. The fight was the most exciting thing in the game. Maybe the season.

to add to the drama...
or bad blood...
they meet again in Pittsburgh in two weeks...

that might be a fun watch...
or no fun at all...
with penalties out the wazoo by referees that want to keep it civilized...

I remember at the beginning of the year everyone wondered what would happen to the Steelers' Three B's.

Ben Roethlisberger injured and out for the season after 2 games;
Antonio Brown has not played in a single game and is out of the league;
LeVeon Bell has 449 yards and 2 TD's in 9 games.

Not really. The season was long over when Ben went out week 2. They have since worked on the Defense with trades, releases, shifts, etc and that part I am pretty **** happy about as a fan. It is the ONLY reason the record is where it is. They singlehandedly beat your Rams with Defense, PERIOD. I know that burns your ***, but that is what it is.

If the Steelers had a way to only field their defense for the entire game, I think they could go undefeated the rest of the season. I am pretty sure Minka F. can throw better than Rudolf and I think the other DB's are better receivers than what we have left after 2 MORE dirty hits by Cleveland on JuJu and Dionte.

Regarding the Browns game.......Miles Garret = SEE YA, hopefully gone forever b/c if that is on the street, he's in jail looking for a bail bondsmen. End of story. Thug life born, Thug life bred and if he was not in the NFL, can guarantee you thug life dead. I don't want to hear any crap about his parents, etc etc etc. His actions , there is NO excuse, he doesn't deserve the opportunity to ever play again in my opinion. He forfeited that right then and there and I hope the NFL sets an example. The suspension was a nice start. Hell, even Baker Mayfield publically called his own teamate out as did everyone else in the world.

Regarding the Steelers actions, Pouncey is not a nice guy granted and he basically curb stomped the thug Garrent for going after Rudolph. Got 3 games for it, seems like a fitting punishment. I personally wished he would have gotten more beats on that piece of ****e. Will there be other fines, sure, but I don't think they are going to amount to much.

Long story short, the NFL needs to take out the trash and get rid of these types of individuals. They started with Antonio Brown, good riddance, then Burfict (fitting), now Garret. I only hope the trend continues.
