N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (1 Viewer)

The other side - Pouncey's suspension reduced to 2 games, you knew they were not going to let him play against the Browns again. Probably better off as I am sure the next game between the two will be a complete ****eshow. I wonder if the Steelers will retaliate against the Cleveland receivers for the head hunting they recevied in the first game which cost us 2 receivers? Inquiring minds want to know.......

Tom:

I hope the Steelers play a clean game and beat them. Nothing would speak louder than that.

Couldnt agree more, the Browns under Kitchens are classless and out of control. Heck, Baker Mayfield of all people all but said that in the aftermath of this mess. You should check out his initial interview the night of the game. Kind of like - "did he just say that" moment.

However, I am not sure if the Steelers allow their offense to take the field they can beat anyone!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, as I said in the beginning of the season, the NFL has become a circus and each week, there is a new event. I have really enjoyed all of the time I gained back each Sunday to do something else!

Whatever ails the Redskins can always be fixed (for one week, anyway) by playing the Detroit Lions. The Redskins beat the Lions today, getting to FG's inside the last 2 minutes. This runs the Redskins all-time record against the Lions to 31-14, (23-6 since 1960 and 17-1 at home). Always glad to see Detroit on the schedule. :wink2: -- Al

They may have cost themselves a number 1 pick with the Lions win although the Bengals seem primed for 0-16.

Dallas Vs NE

2 tripping penalties.....that game doubled the amount of tripping penalities Ive seen called in the league in the past 35 years.......

Elliott bangs the ball all the way down the field.....NE cant stop him.....3rd and 2...throw a limp pass in the flat...oh well, incomplete, kick a FG

3rd and 3....sneak a receiver in the flat to run a 1.5 yard route and get tackled........its like he had no idea it was 3rd down and he needed to go at least 9 feet........

just complete a 59 yard pass.....down by 7....FG team get out there and bang out a 27 yarder.......

And then the absolutely horrendous special teams fiascos.

Everyone except the Defense looked like deers in headlights.....just horrific coaching......as in no one was remotely ready to play this game but 21 and the D.

Ill send Garrett an application to come work with me at the Commonwealth of Pa.

Just ridiculous.

At least my Sun Devils got the "W" last night.

Chris...

I used to defend Garrett...
but I just can't anymore...
I think he is inept...

like tonight...
Troy Aikman openly criticized the coaching the last 2 weeks...
more than once...
he has never done that publicly...

even JJ said after the game...

"Every aspect of special teams have been problematic for us, there is no question about that," Jones said, later adding, "It's 100 percent coaching … They did a great job on special teams and that was really, probably, the determining difference."

I hope his tenure is hopefully coming to an end...

I think Urban Meyer or Lincoln Riley will be there next year...

49ers had everybody back on offense last night and it showed as both sides of the ball overwhelmed the Packers. Early on, it seemed the Packers weren’t ready for or handle the quickness of the 49er defense and the offense played well enough to give the defense a lot of rest.

Their next game against the Ravens will be difficult but the Saints game is certainly doable and they should come out of this three game stretch 2-1 although they may find themselves looking up at the Seahawks.

Methinks Mason Rudolph's tenure in Steeltown is over. He embarrassed the organization, then, is quite frankly playing awful. He is not a future Steelers QB and I will not be surprised if he is off the team by the end of the year or off season move.

If not for the 3rd stringer to come in and promptly throw a 80 yard bomb, the Defense would have been the difference again. The Steelers Offense is just awful, they single handedly put the game in jeopardy every time they take the field. It is just a pitiful display out there right now. Losing 3 people (RB, QB and WR) has literally destroyed their entire year. That is a sobering moment when you think about it that way. I think they have a lot of work to do in the offseason.

The Patriots won yesterday to improve to 10-1 for the season...…..this marks the 17th strait season they have 10 plus wins, an NFL record...…………...during that run, they've gone 11-5 twice, the other 15 times, they were 12 plus wins or better.

Just incredible.

And to think back when I had seasons tickets the first time around (1985-1992), the last year we went they finished 1-15.

10-1 with the Texans, Chiefs, Bengals, Bills and Dolphins left...……..

Certainly an amazing run. They have a shot at winning all 5 they have left for sure

That was a solid win with the Niners playing a complete game on both sides of the ball.

All of their remaining games will loom as must wins and the finale against Seattle could prove to be the most important game of the entire NFL season.

Jason...I watched that game...first time I have seen SF play all year...they were complete in every facet last night...offense...defense...special teams...I have never seen Rodgers struggle so much against a pass rush and secondary...he was totally beat up...sacked 5 times...10 QB hits...when they panned in on his face...he looked disgusted, lost and confused...

I don't think it's going to matter, it's the Ravens year me thinks, Jackson is playing out if his mind; two drives tonight, two TD passes.

Mike:

The defense never let Rodgers get into any type of a rhythm and they did a phenomenal job of keeping him in the pocket. Even when they didn't sack or hit him they disrupted him on just about every drop back.

There is still lots of football left and the NFC is crowded with good teams, but after last night I think it is safe to say that the Niners are as good as any of them and are a legit Super Bowl contender.

make that 4 for 4 now...
their punter didn't even suit up...
he's on the sideline taking selfies with the fans...

Don't know if it is their year or not, but Jackson and the Ravens are absolutely shredding the Rams tonight, 28-6 at the half. -- Al

and the fans are singing to Flacco...

I ain't missing you at all...
Since you've been gone away...
I ain't missing you...
No matter...
What my friends say...

Baltimore is running a Big 10 offense. They’re out of the pistol for gods sake. Michigan State could stop this. Why are NFL teams perplexed?

I really am at a loss as to how they've been running this Harry High School RPO offense for 11 weeks now
and coordinators are crapping themselves with no answer on how to stop it.

You set the edge on both sides of the field, bring pressure up the middle and force him to throw the ball,
not fake the handoff and run wild downfield.

All it's going to take is for him to get lit up by a linebacker or a safety on one of his RPO runs; think RGIII...…………

Honest to Christ, I give up.
