N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (3 Viewers)

For at least one week the Redskins are no longer the worst team in the NFC East, although it was a close run thing.:rolleyes2: -- Al

The 49ers clock management at the end of the first half was beyond awful. When the play clock stood around 1 minute, they let 30 or so seconds run without running a play or calling a TO and they had three of them. That’s 3 and maybe 7 points there.

As George noted, the play calling on 4th down was poor.

They’ve gone from controlling the division to now being in second. Hopefully, the Vikings can beat the Seahawks tomorrow but you shouldn’t depend on other people to save your bacon.

Great point, the clock management there was bad, as was the play call, not to mention two 15 yard penalties for roughing on the defense, you can't give the Ravens those sort of breaks.

The 49ers defense played a great game, they held the Ravens in check for the most part, they played good, just not good enough to win, which is too bad.

The Eagles lost to the Doofins.

Mother of God.

And I saw Foles got benched in Jacksonville, the same Foles who played out of his backside in the 2017 NFCCG and the Super Bowl.

So good for him, he built a career out of two games, now he's the true tomato can he always was and got benched as a result.

What's really sad is a 13-3 SF or Seattle team is going to end up as a wild card and have to go to 8-8 Dallas or Philadelphia as a division winner in the playoffs.

Sorry, there is something wrong with that system; yeah, I get it, you win your division, blah, blah, blah, but that's flat out criminal either one of those two stiff teams gets to host a playoff game.

the NFC East will be represented by a beast...
a current combined record of 16-33....
^&grin

There’s a good chance that every NFC East team may have a new coach next year.

Brad...

you may be right...

I hope Dallas does...
I have tried to be supportive of Garrett for years...
but I feel like he is not getting the maximum potential out of his players...

whether I'm right or not...
I think they need a new sense of direction...

the NFC East is a total embarrassment...
especially the Cowboys...
they have a bevy of talent on offense...
not so much on defense by any means...
but they should be scoring more...
a lot more...
which would certainly help win games...

Do you really think the Iggles will get rid of Peterson after he ran all those Harry High School plays to win a Super Bowl two years ago?

Not sure about that one.

Maybe the Giants can bring back Grampa Coughlin, then when things go south, his face gets red as a tomato and he stands there with that puss on his face, hands on his hips while holding that laminated Denny's menu...………………….

Holy Crap, Steelers are still technically in it I think, WOW with that Offense we have, it is a miracle at this point in the season to lose our HOF QB, arguable at one time the best RB and WR and then to lose your #1 WR and RB. I actually listened to the game on Sirius while driving and swithcing to the Ravens game.

Speaking of the Ravens, they are legit I hate to say, BUT did i hear right, SF missed not one but 2 4th and 1's with idiotic play calls both times, just another WOW.

George, your Pats need to win out I believe this year, the Ravens seem to have that edge like they can't or won't lose.

On another note, I did see LA Rams won in a blowout in the desert, maybe they should move there next, the dry heat seems to be more to their liking.

Pats offense is just simply anemic! Out WRs just cannot get separation from even middling D backs

I guess you and George need some Black and Gold jerseys now for a game coming up. JEEZ>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> *** Pats???

Pats controlled the ground game...
in fact...dominated it for 145 to 52...
but they got so far behind...so quick...
they had to abandon it to some degree...

I am also a little concerned with Jimmy G's play when the game is in the balance. In their two losses he has looked way too tentative on potential game winning drives.

Ya, you both are correct, I was shocked even listening to it while driving. I thought they blew opps to win a big one on the road.

Houston's defense blows and they looked like the 1985 Bears out there last night, all sorts of pressure on Brady.

This is by far the worst offense in the Brady/Belichick era, without Gronkowski, who used to get double teamed, they are shutting down Edelman, there is no tight end threat at all, white is getting shut down, so Brady is throwing to Dorsett, Myers, Sanu and Harry. Did Harry play last night by the way, he was invisible, another WR draft bust by this team.

Brady is 42 years old and it shows, he was an elite QB and made the talent around him better, he has crappy talent around him now and he can't make up for it.

They were running the ball well last night, but as Mike said, they got too far behind and had to abandon it, the Texans pinned their ears back and put all sorts of pressure on Brady.

Imagine getting outcoached by that moron O'Brien, he's a clueless boob on the sidelines, calls a time out to get NY to look at a play, thought you couldn't do that, but he got away with it.

And speaking of getting away with it, on the third Houston touchdown, Van Noy literally got tackled and dragged to the ground, no call, TD, that was embarrassing and pathetic, I've given up on NFL officiating, they are a joke and a disgrace, it happened RIGHT IN FRONT of the backjudge, how he missed that is beyond my comprehension.

Their offensive line is horrible, Cannon sucks, he's a traffic cone out there, they are down to their third string center. Half the team has the flu, they took two planes to Houston, one with healthy players, one with sick players, half the defense including all the linebackers are sick, not an excuse, but they were gassed last night, gutsy to try to play, but still.

Once again the defense had little answers for that Harry High School RPO offense, it's the wave of the future, the days of the drop back pocket passer are dying, it's all about QB's that think run first, pass second.

Goodbye HFA, not that it matters, the Ravens are a wagon and nobody is beating them this year, that ****** Harbaugh gets to hoist another Lombardi...……..and news flash; wearing glasses does not make you smarter you stooge, you're still as dumb as a fencepost and a whining crybaby like you always were.

I had read that the Pats were possibly interested in having Gronk return in December but because he was not taken off the retired/reserved list before this past Saturday’s deadline, he cannot play this year.

He now has time to focus on his new career, as a Laker Ball Boy.

I thought maybe Belichick and Brady were playing possum with their offense until the playoffs, but they are not looking good when they needed a big win. If the Ravens get home field in the playoffs, I don't see the Pats being able to score enough points to counter Lamar and company. Brady looked eerily similar to Goff or Wentz last night. Completely lost. The Niners impressed me going into Baltimore and playing well. The horrible weather likely helped a bit to keep Jackson contained though.

Doesn't matter home field or not, there's no stopping Jackson, no team has been able to shut him down, the 49ers defense did a great job yesterday for the most part aside from two dumb personal foul penalties.

It's the year of the Ravens, Jackson was a tire fire in the playoffs last year, this year he's lights out, although he throws some ugly balls, you're typical run first/pass second QB.

The Patriots offense is offensive.

They are going nowhere.

Jackson was a supreme choker at Louisville. They lost every big game. So I'm not sold on him being unbeatable this year. The defense somehow has to make him a pocket passer. Not let him run wild and force him to win games with his arm. Easier said than done though! What most impresses me about the Ravens is their O-line. All the talk is about Jackson but they gashed the Rams with simple runs up the middle. And the Rams d-line is the strength of that team with guys like Donald. They have handled the run well against every other team this season. If Jackson has a running game, then the opposing D becomes helpless. They can't cover downfield, control the run, and keep a check on Jackson all at the same time. Jackson only needs to throw the ball maybe 20 times in that situation.

The Ravens remind me of the Oklahoma Sooners and the Nebraska Cornhuskers back in the 1970's-1990's; run first, then run, then run some more, if they got behind and the QB actually had to throw, they were both screwed.

Jackson throws some of the ugliest balls I've ever seen, sometimes the ball spins like a helicopter blade vs a spiral, underhand flips, sidearm throws, just an ugly passer.

And yes, that O Line just dominates people, defenses are helpless vs them, plus he runs that RPO to perfection, half the time, I have no clue who has the ball...…….he holds, holds, holds, if he sees the edge is not set, he pulls it out and takes off.

Someone said spy him; who's fast enough to keep up with him, plus he's north of 200 pounds, so he's big and fast...……………..just impossible to stop. Eventually he'll get exposed, but not this year, he's on a roll and no one in either conference has a shot of stopping him.

Whatever...…………………..

Right now, Jackson is looking like the best QB out of that class. He seems to be doing well because it doesn’t seem as if they ask him to do to much. The question is whether he’s more Kaepernick or Randall Cunningham. I think the former but we’ll see.
