N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (2 Viewers)

I was convinced SF was going to win. A very tough loss as they were in command much of the game.

San Fran played a heck of a game...
they were 9 1/2 point dogs...
with a ton of injuries that didn't suit up...
and on the road...
they almost won...

but another incredible last second ending by Rodgers...

they ran at will on GB for 174 yards...

first time I have watched them all year...
didn't play like a 1-5 team...

The Niners recovered after they gave up that first TD and they put up a heck of a fight but still lost 33-30 in a great game.

On a side note, Joe Tessitore is the most annoying broadcaster ever, I had to turn off the sound on the TV and turn on the local radio broadcast. They should have never gotten rid of Sean McDonough.

Sorry about the loss, what an effort.

And yes, that stooge is brutal, I can't believe they have him and the other two half wits as a broadcasting team, I can't listen to them either.

Another NFL pin-ball special on MNF that ends up proving a point that everyone already knows...Your team can't let Rodgers or Brady have the ball last as your team will lose. It's a rule so obvious, yet it is violated time after time. -- Al

Yeah, that's great...…….we won't talk about the blatant OPI that occurred on the game winning TD that the refs missed.

For a team that hasn't won a SB in a long time, they have more than their fair share of luck fall their way in games...………………..:wink2:

I think he was within 1 yard and perfectly legal. PLus, let's be honest, DB's have brought pick plays upon themselves. They want to jam Receivers all the time at the line and then hold them for 5 more yards, well tough crap, kind of reap what you sow wouldn't you say? I consider the audible one of Ben's easiest ever, the Bengals might as well taken a photo of their blitz play and sent it ahead of time. And the DB in question actually shifted the wrong way and made the play even easier. So, I don't buy OPI, as in many penalties, the Refs could throw a flag for holding, Off or Def and pass interference Off or Def on every play. The bungles just flat out got beat and as I truly hate that team and Burfict, this is probably the best win so far this season.

Speaking of Burfict, I will say once again, the guy should not be in football, he should be gone period. Forearm to the head of Antonio Brown is NOT football and never has been, it is dirty and no part of a game. The guy is a thug who should be prosecuted for assault on a weekly basis as he deliberately colors outside of the lines and with malicious intent. He needs to get lit up and put out. Quite frankly ,he is dog crap as a human being.

A Cinncy related question...What does Marvin Lewis have on or know about the owners of the Bengals that he has kept his job as Head Coach for 16 years? Through Sunday's game, Lewis has a 16 year record of 129-114-3 with exactly ZERO wins in 7 playoff games. Now, 7 playoff appearances in 16 years isn't terrible, but an 0-7 record (never even getting past the initial game) should be a red flag of some sort. One would think Cinncy would have changed Head Coach just on the law of averages by this point. I don't have anything against Lewis but 15 games over .500 in 16 years is hardly HoF stuff and actually pretty mediocre (even though some teams would kill for that record). It just seems that Cinncy would have tried to change it's record of post-season failure at some point during the last 16 years. -- Al

My Rams are quietly rolling along. A couple of tough road wins in Seattle and Denver the last two weeks. The sign of a good team is winning close road games in hostile places. The Rams are also using a power run game when they need it. That is surprising if you think they are purely a pass offense. I never underestimate the ability of the Rams to come up short in the playoffs, but so far, so good. If they stay healthy, they are going to be tough in the playoffs.

I think the Rams are a very good team and on the cusp of something big, should be an interesting season, good luck!

I don’t see too many of their games but I’ve heard commentators say that the defense is the Rams’ weak point.

Not sure if you got the memo, but the NFL has basically legislated defense out of the league.

And not to beat this to death, but in the Patriots/Chefs game Sunday night, Brady was wrapped up by a Chefs defender and the guy for some bizarre reason let go of him and instead of a sack, he scored a TD.

After the game, the player said he thought Brady had thrown the ball and did not want to get a penalty for roughing the passer.

The NFL in 2018 in a nutshell right there.

And not that I want to see players get hurt as I really don't, but I always think of Joe "Turkey" Jones scoop slamming Terry Bradshaw and bouncing him off the turf by his dome...…..Bradshaw flopped around like a fish out of water for about ten minutes after that hit, if that happened today, the guy would be fined and probably banned from the league.

Dirtiest player in the NFL..glad that Ben called Burshit out today, apparently he pointed out Ju-Ju and told him he was next....when are they going to dump his sorry ***????

Ravens get the Saints and Brees this weekend, defense has looked decent but they need a few offensive time killing drives to keep Brees off the field, they can not afford to get into scoring match with the Saints, with the Bungles in KC the Ravens could make some noise if they can get a win Sunday.

I know, the guy is dangerous to everyone else on the field. I think times up for him and it needs to happen. He is going to seriously hurt someone or himself. He is obviously not all there upstairs in the brain category.

This should be a great game. The No. 1 defense vs. the No. 1 offense, something has to give.

Burfict got hit with a pretty heavy fine today...
multiple penalties...
$112,000 for his bad hits in the Pittsburgh game...

Burfict has been fined more than $415,000 during his NFL career...
the latest sanction is the 11th time he has been fined in his seven NFL seasons...

that's 1/2 million dollars in fines...
some serious change...
you would think he would wise up...

Time to kick him out of the league. He’s just plain dangerous!

It’s actually worse than that. According to the Spotrac website, his accumulated fines and salary lost due to suspension amount to approximately $4 million, and that was before the latest one. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cincinnati-bengals/vontaze-burfict-10100/fines/

Wow!!!

that's crazy...

I never thought about the lost $$$ on suspensions...

this guy has given away more than most people make in a lifetime...

but I guess it's no big deal to him since he had made 32 million in his career...

still...that's a lot of cash thrown away!
