N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (1 Viewer)

Patriots beat the Bengals today, close at the half, but they pulled away in the second half, Gilmore with a pic 6; it was weird, almost like he new what was coming there...……………..not sure how that is possible, advanced scouting maybe had something to do with that, not sure?

And yes, the leagues is going to drop the hammer on New England, I can tell the way the ginger haired stooge was answering questions during one of his press conferences at the owners meetings, he's going to hammer them on this one...………..

Sad to see the Raiders play their last game in Oakland...……..again, first they left for LA, now for Vegas, I wonder if they'll end coming back?

I also saw gump down in NY ride off into the sunset after the terrific, inspiring, spectacular win over the broken toilet Doofins…………………….

First the Steelers fans waved those terrible towels, now the duck calls/duck hunting outfits/duck signs, if it's not one thing, it's another...………….

On the Falcons/49ers game; sorry, did not look to me like Jones broke the goal line there, must be the same crew that worked the Patriots/Chiefs game last week...………..

To me the NFC is wide open, anyone can beat anybody at anytime, the playoffs should be interesting. In the AFC, everyone is crowning the Browns as champions already, we'll see what playoffs Jackson looks like, all it's going to take is one hit and adios...…………………………...

I have ref exhaustion. The commentators always say the ball can touch the ground so long as the receiver controls the ball but then every catch that touches the ground is overturned. The Falcons should have got the previous call since it was called a catch but they did get the last one. The ball appeared to cross the line. I agree that anyone including the Cowboys could win the NFC. The Packers, Saints, Seachickens and even Niners haven't been that impressive of late. Somehow Dallas is the top ranked offense even with a losing record. If they can manage to get into the playoffs, they have as good a chance as anyone which is why Jerry Jones was smart not to fire their coach until this season ends. In the AFC, the Ravens look far and away the best team with the Pats fading away and Chiefs not being able to win clutch games. TN was red hot but a devastating loss at home.

George...

Mike, that is George's subtle shot at the Ravens franchise originally being the Cleveland Browns. Another franchise stolen out from under the fans by the owner getting a better deal elsewhere, sort of like when the Colts got stolen by Indy. -- Al

I was not privy to the cryptique meaning...
kind of doubted he would make such an obvious mistake...

They can call themselves the Ravens and wear those hideous purple and black uniforms all they want.

They are, have been and always will be the Browns.

That was a chicken **** move Modell pulled running from Cleveland for a better deal in Baltimore.

Well at least the Patriots got a win before the NFL dissolves the franchise tomorrow, so there's that anyway.

Don't mess with the shield.

Duck, dodge and hide or whatever the name of the Stillers QB is threw 4 INT's tonight, the Bills made the playoffs for the second time this century.

Oh and
Ben Roethlisberger looks like Matt Patricia‘s stunt double.

What a tub of goo.

George...
look at the 23 second mark...
that's a TD...
would have been a travesty to rule it any other way...
it's the right call for sure...
whether you like the Falcons or not...
you gotta be real...
that's a TD...

I have nothing against the Falcons, I just didn't see it as a TD from the 47 replays I got bombarded with.

As Doug said, the officials/reviews/going to NY on all scores is sucking the life out of the game...………….

I don't know whether it was a TD or not, I do know that the ruling on the field was that it was not a touchdown and per the NFL clear and obvious visual evidence is required to over turn a call on the field.

This one was simply too close to call, thus the ruling on the field should have stood.

I agree. It really cost the 49ers. However, it shouldn’t have come to that as the offense played poorly. I told my son before the game that he was selling the Falcons short; he accused me of being pessimistic. I have a little better feeling about the Rams game.

Well, guess I hate being right, but as I said, the Steelers D can play with and beat anybody but our gd'd offense can single handedly lose every game or give them away. YET, somehow, the rest of the AFC wants the Steelers to make the playoffs - Thanks TN. I am not even sure I want the Steelers to make the playoffs. That said, the last quarter last night was hard to watch b/c all I could think of is if Big Ben is playing, we torch the Bills by 20. There is just such a difference between a good QB and one who is standing in and god bless the Duck, but he is not a viable option.

So catching up on the thread, what's with all the shade being thrown around? No need to be cryptic, if any of this is directed this way, here I am, we all know or should know where I stand on the issues addressed:

A. Refs continue to suck and the NFL needs a serious revamp, it is bordering on ruining the game. Subjective calls are one thing where they are close, but outright game ending changers that are NOT close are Unacceptable.

B. Patriots are guilty by rule , but I still find it incredulous OR incredibly stupid that they would cheat for a match against the Bengals.

C. Miles Garrett is a first class PIECE OF ****E and is exactly where he deserves to be at this time - Suspended without Pay.

D. Steelers Offense Suck, but Good Lord, is there any reason to make fun of the Duck? Give the fan base credit, they support the team, that is what good ownership breeds - loyal fans. Mike Tomlin probably deserves Coach of the Year for winning more than 1 game, it is nearly a miracle.

E. Rams suck - how the hell do you have that much talent and perform at the level they are this year. Something is way out of whack there.

If I missed anything, let me know.

Mike, I thought it was close enough that it could have gone either way. However, that game was lost long before that. The offense had a terrible day. It was a game they should have won. There will be some like that.

Brad...I didn't watch the game...I was watching my lowly Cowboys scrambling for their life while I screamed at the tv set...but everybody got a chance to watch that replay...and I just assume that everybody wants the fair and right call...I know homers can sometimes see things only one way...probably myself included to some degree...but that's what instant replay is all about...while I love the 49ers...and hope they go far...SF fans got nothing to complain about that call...

this came out wrong...
here's the edit...

Maybe to avoid issues in the future, the NFL should put a HUGE piece of wide black tape along the goal line and we won't have these issues...………….sort of like the sideline has a huge white line along it so the officials can clearly see when a guy is still in bounds and they don't blow a call that takes a TD of the board and thus cost a team a win...………….oh wait, nevermind………………….

This post really sums it up for me as well.

The Niners offense yesterday never got into a rhythm and they seemed to be a step slow on too many plays.

It should have never come down to an instant replay call.

It;s funny but when a fan complains about a bad call or piss poor officiating, they are called a homer and they are whiners.

When it's your team that benefits from a bad call or piss poor officiating, the attitude is "That's the rule/bad calls go for and against you and will even out/your team never should have put themselves into a position where a call changes the outcome of the game".......

Perspective, it's all about perspective.

I was watching a YouTube video from the Fox pregame show where Glazier was babbling about the video footage from the Bengals sideline...……………..how tall is that guy, 4'2"?

The comments that followed by YouTube posters are award winners, everything from the Patriots should be banned from this years playoffs to Belichick should be fired.

Hey, that's one way to stop them from winning another Super Bowl.

I really truly love the fact that fans across the league are now convinced they have dominated the league for the better part of 20 years because they cheat.

Yup, that's the reason alright, keep thinking that, whatever helps you sleep at night.

The Romans dominated for so long and Napoleon conquered Europe because they cheated.

LOL.
