N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (1 Viewer)

Have to give credit where credit is due, Doug was right all along, the Patriots are posers, imagine they started out 8-0 and their defense was lights out.

Sure it was when you play the march of the tomato cans, they are 4-4 since, the Titans are going to come here next week and roll this team and that will be that.

Imagine with everything on the line at home, they lost to the corpse of Spinach Chin Ryan Fitzpatrick, he torched them for 320 yards.

Slant, slant, slant, slant, slant, slant, slant, slant, why play zone on that stiff and sit back and play soft coverage and let him dink and dunk you down the field, no defensive adjustments, just stood back and let him beat you.

The Patriots move on to the playoffs and the Doofins screwed up their draft position.

Good for them.

I can't take all the credit. The Pats offense has struggled mightily the last half of the season. Should be a good game with the Titans. Henry is a beast and their QB can make plays. The Pats will likely circle the wagons and give it 110%. Enough to win. Just barely. But the Chiefs are going to take them to the woodshed. It won't be pretty. If misery loves company, then my Rams wrapped up an era at the LA Coliseum today. At least with a win against the lowly Cards. Maybe the last NFL game in that stadium where they played the first Super Bowl. Somewhere the ghost of Tom Fears is still running with the ball after catching that pass from Norm Van Brocklin to win the 1951 NFL championship.

The Niner game felt like a playoff game from start to finish.

SF really needs the extra time off, they are really banged up right now.

I hope the 49ers don’t face the Seahawks in the next round but they probably will as the likelihood is that NO will beat Minnesota and Seattle will beat the Eagles.

Interestingly enough, if Seattle wins and New Orleans wins then the Niners will be playing a team that they played during the regular season throughout the NFC playoffs.

I’d say the odds of that are high. Should they beat Seattle, then they will probably face GB or NO in the conference championship. No easy games there.

I got passed this morning by a random delivery truck on the way to work.

On the back, where all the dust and grime accumulates where someone might write "wash me" someone wrote "Cowboys need a new coach"

If this kind of graffiti is happening on a random delivery truck in south central Pennsylvania then CLEARLY this is the most pressing national issue facing the country!!! {sm4}{sm4}

Cowboy fans are everywhere. My son was in glory enjoying the agony of their fans. I told him, c’mon, that’s nice: they’re hurting and they’re people too. He listened to me as much as he always does: NOT!

Oh no Brad- lol- yeah, I can relate to that!!! ;);) I get it though with him being a niners fan and that coming from him. I cant say I was all that torn up when the 9ers were having some lean years not too long ago.

Ok- I'm taking a VERY BOLD prediction- Eli Manning will be a Redskin in 2020..................or possibly Phillip Rivers

You heard it here first lol

BTW- Anyone else think the Chargers utter and total collapse was not the biggest disappointment in 2019? Not sure what went off the rails there but there hasn't really been any discussion about that from what Ive heard.

I'm going to get right to the predictions so George doesn't have to agonize the rest of this week.

Pats 24 Titans 21: The Pats will rally and give it the old last hurrah for Brady. Maybe his last home game. They were embarrassed by the Dolphin loss. They have the big game, championship experience and Belichick will put them in a position to win. The media will fawn over their success and how Brady showed everyone he is not quite finished etc (like they did a thousand times last year). The Titans remind me a bit of the Chargers team that NE dismantled last year in the playoffs. They came in playing well, seemingly had a chance to win, then got blown out. The Pats offense is too anemic to blow anyone out this year and if Henry gets turned loose watch out. They have a shot but not a great one.

Houston 20 Bills 17: The Bills QB can throw the ball 70 yards in the air. Unfortunately in most instances that is 30 yards from where his receiver is standing. A defensive struggle.

New Orleans 41 Minnesota 24:
At home the Saints are tough. Brees is rolling. Their D is questionable though and they find ways to lose big games but they win this one.

Seattle 27 Philadelphia 23: The Eagles will make it a game. Wentz doesn't look right to me though. A lot like Brady and Goff. He just doesn't seem confident with his throws. He throws one INT too many and King Pete finds a way to win.

Just hysterical...…...…………..you need your own show or some sort of YouTube channel.

And no, the media will not be falling over themselves if the Patriots win on Saturday; the national media hates the Patriots...………….Parker, Sharpe, that ballbag who's on the same show as Chris Carter, the other ballbag who is the #1 Patriots hater out there, Max Kellerman, him and Parker have been predicting the Patriots demise since 2009, sooner or later they will be right...……

As I told you earlier today, if by some miracle, they figure it out on offense and they somehow, someway win another Super Bowl, heads will explode across America...…………..Brady is hurt, tendonitis in his elbow (tennis elbow), Edelman has been dealing with a rib injury for weeks, Sanu has a high ankle sprain, they are just too banged up, plus Chung and JMac on defense are hurting too...…………….Vrabel is an ex Patriot, and like Mangini, O'Brien, Crennel, Dabold, Flores, Patricia, O'Shea, McDaniels and any other stuff from his coaching tree, he like them has success vs the Patriots but is a tire fire vs the rest of the league.

Henry is going to run for 1200 yards on Saturday and the corpse of Ryan Tannehill, much like the 40 year old corpse of Spinach Chin Ryan Fitzpatrick (I would have lost that bet; the bet being is he still in the league...….can you imagine that spinach chinned toolbag who looks like Yukon Cornelius was the leading rusher on the Doofins this year...…...let that one sink in), will come in here and look like Joe Montana, then next week vs the Chefs, he'll go back to looking like Hannah Montana...……………...

The one person in the media who will love it if the Patriots win is Chris Collinsworth, that guy loves the Patriots.

On the other hand he hates the Niners, I don’t think he has ever let go of losing twice to them in the Super Bowl. He hates the Niners as much as Kirk Herbstreit loves Ohio State, and that is saying a lot!

Collinsworth?

He hates the Patriots.

Go back and listen to him on that final Seattle drive in the SB vs the Patriots; he was absolutely giddy when the miracle bobbling catch was made to keep that drive going and he sounded like someone ran his dog over when they passed on 2nd and goal from the 1...………

He also is the guy who predicted the Giants would beat New England back in 2008 and said "When the game is over, Eli should walk up to Belichick, hand him the football and tell him "Stick THAT in your...…………………..trophy case"...……..Marino and some other stooge were on the studio floor in hysterics over that one.

He hates the Patriots.

HATES.

Like 99% of the national media does.

George:

I was basing my opinion of Collinsworth on his actions on the 100 Best television program. He constantly complimented the Patriots when he interacted with Belichick.

I guess it is easy for guys like Collinsworth to run their mouths from a booth when the guy/team they are criticizing in not around.

I'm going the other way on this one- I'm taking Philly by 2. It may sound crazy but I think Philly is looking decent, especially on Defense (terribly banged up on Offense). If Wentz can play a smart, mistake free game, I think Philly can manage the clock and pull one out. I have said all year long I think Seattle is over looked and underestimated by a lot of people. But I think this week- with the late game against SF that went down to the wire and the emotional deflation that comes from that kind of loss and then having to travel, it sets things up for Philly to pull one out. I think Pete Carroll and his team may be looking past the Eagles.

The Seahawks seem like a hard team to figure out. The teams they have beaten, they have barely beaten (but they have beaten them) and they lost to some very good teams like the Ravens, Saints and 49ers. On the other hand, they have lost a couple of clunkers (Rams and Cardinals). Perhaps they got a little too comfortable after they assumed the division lead (before the Rams game) and looked past the Cardinals to their matchup with the 49ers. With all that, as this is the playoffs, I can't see them looking past the Eagles to the 49ers, not to mention that they already beat the Eagles this season.

Yup, that's him in a nutshell.

I know a few people like that, slobber all over you in person, then throw you under the bus when you are not around.
