N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (5 Viewers)

This may be me and this doesn’t apply to only this situation but I’m tired of hearing people announce something via social media. What happened to good old one on one conversation.

Brad...

like UPS says...

"What can Brown do for you?"

Youtube was actually paying AB $250,000 for "interesting media content" on the Raiders to be posted to their website...the recorded telephone conversation he posted with Gruden was prohibited by NFL bylaws...and considered illegal by law...the video he posted of Tomlin's locker room speech was also prohibited by NFL guidelines...Brown is flat nuts...Tomlin and the Steeler's organization must be delighted to have traded off this team cancer for a few mid round picks...and now the Raiders are stuck with his antics...

with comments like "I don't even need the game. If they wanna play, they going to play by my rules."...

he's gonna find himself shunned by NFL teams and Kaepernick as his new "bestie" as they are both gonna be out of work...

Mike, the Steelers are probably happy that Bell is gone too. Now it’s the Jets’ problem. Oh, joy.

Brad...I'm sure you're right...he was difficult to work with too...I find it amazing that these guys are given such an opportunity to make a generational amount of money...and think they can force the league...one of the most powerful organizations in the world...with some of the richest men in the world behind them...to bow to their demands and throw the opportunity away...

the NFL can move fast when they want to...
crazy story even by NFL standards...

the Raiders just cut AB a few minutes ago and he is now a free agent...
he never even played one down with them...

The Raiders fined Brown $215,073.53 for conduct detrimental to the team...
and by fining Brown...
the Raiders voided the $29.125 million worth of guaranteed money in his deal...

I don't think any team is gonna sign him...
I think he just flushed his career down the toilet...
what a waste of a talent...
what a boofus...

4 hours after his release...AB signed with New England...
got a 1 year contract for 15 million with 10 million guaranteed...
I don't know whether to say good luck or congratulations...
but I think if anybody can get his mind right...
it would be Belichick...

George...
it's a risky move...
but could pay off...
how do NE fans feel about this?
I have not read the contract...
is there some strict language in it?

Randy Moss was a malcontent and the yr that NE signed him was his stellar year.
Cory Dillion .. a bad boy .. has another top season.

It seems that is what Billy does!!!

More fuel on the fire for Patriots haters. Seems awful risky to me but it's their money and team chemistry. -- Al

I’m so curious to see if bill can manage him! If so, it’s a genius signing!
I’m sure there are many unique clauses in that contract.
Much like the Gordon trade which was conditional on him actually playing a certain amount of games

I know AB can't play this Sunday night against Pittsburgh...
but...
I bet Belichick is gonna ask him...
sooner or later...
"tell me everything you know about Pittsburgh?"

My opinion and this is not one of sour grapes, really, but as a fan, this is absolute horse crap. It is what is wrong with football. This guy should be out of a job, no ifs ands or buts. Life is not fair and this is not either, but I think it is classless all the way around. Basically he whined his way out of Pittsburgh because a second year receiver blew his *** off the field. He goes to the Raiders and whines until he gets himself fired just to sign with last year's SB champs? Really? Its a crock and any game he plays in should have an asterisk. I know its a business, but this is the "bridge too far" for me.

I was driving home earlier today from the DC Club show, I absolutely crushed it there, the scramble is now on for restocks for Chicago, which is a good problem to have I guess...…………….then my friend texts me "Patriots just signed Brown, 1 year, 15 million"...…………..

Holy smokes.

I nearly swerved on off the road.

If Belichick, Brady and the rest of the team can get him to buy in, good Lord...……………

If they can't, he'll be out the door.

But if they can.…………………………...yikes...………..top three talent WR in football.

Just incredible.

Yeah, let the haters hate, I mean how much longer can this go on, 18 years and counting...……….LMFAO...…………………….

New England is now guaranteed to win the Super Bowl. This is a recording.......

Agree. It's totally immaterial to me which team signed him, the problem is that this punk was signed at all. The NFL blows. -- Al

Totally agree. The NFL is becoming like pro wrestling. With the way Brown acted against two teams and coaching staffs, he should've been blackballed from the league. You can disagree with Kaepernick's actions. But he was never a bad guy. He was no problem with coaches or teammates and he was certainly better than some of the QBs playing around the league. But no team will touch him. Now Brown acts like a complete jerk, starts a fight with a GM and gets rewarded by being signed in a couple hours.

A proud legacy in New England under Belicheat and Shady. Just the recent highlights:

Murder - check.
Cheating - check and check.
Cocaine bust - check.
Sex sting - check ($59).
Guy who ran over disabled woman - check.
Head case - on the way.

If Gronk makes good on his promise to return, they can re-check the roids box. The guy went from looking like the Hulk to Don Knotts a month after retiring.

You guys make too much of this. He didn’t want to be there so the Raiders got rid of him. It’s a business. This is common in football (soccer to you Yanks). If a player doesn’t want to be there, he’ll demand a transfer and if his old team and new team can work it out, he leaves. There is a drama now going on with Brasil’s best player because he wants to move from his team (PSG, in Paris) to Barcelona. They couldn’t work it out so he stays. It’s business and a business.
