NBA Playoffs (1 Viewer)

I am very interested to watch Deni Avdija drafted by the Washington Wizards this year. My cousin's son in Israel played with him and thinks
he will be a great player. He has won some European championships but is still very young. Seems like a humble young man with a great
work ethic.
Also to see how the NY Nets do with Durant and Irving healthy (at least for now)........

If the two of them can stay healthy, they are head and shoulders better than anyone in the East and will easily get to the finals.

I like both players, when Durant was on the Warriors, they were a wagon, talk about loaded, Irving is very talented, the Celtics blew it by getting rid of him and bringing in Walker, he's a hot mess.

I'll be pulling for them to get to the finals, they will be a fun team to watch.

I can never pull for Washington after they changed their name from the Bullets. Weak. Abe Pollin was so cheap that the entertainment was a small dog pulling some type of miniature chuck wagon. That was old school Jackie Moon stuff. Wes Unseld was known for his "outlet" pass. You can't make that up. I remember going to games at the Capitol Centre before they blew it up and turned it into a mall. The "Wizards" can blow.

Durant and Irving play for the Nets, not the Wizards.

Fret not, the entire world is picking the Lakers to repeat.

You have nothing to worry about, no team in the NBA can touch them.

They'll blitzkrieg their way through the West, probably going 16-0 in the four playoff series, then demolishing whatever sacrificial lamb comes out of the East.

Then you and Mike Miller, our two resident diehard Lakers fans around here can celebrate another well deserved Lakers title.

They'll probably win it next year too.

Swell.

I try and be modest in my celebrating...
want to be a good sport about it...
but yea...
like a Ninja...
I will celebrate on the inside...^&grin

You can celebrate on the outside too.......................championships aren't easy to come by, so soak it all in and have a ball.

I have a feeling the city of Boston is about to enter quite a dry spell, we're talking a decade of nothingness.....................oh well, nothing good lasts forever.........................

If you take George, Mike or Doug and their passion for their favorite sports teams too seriously that is more of a reflection on you than them.

How did I miss this...........so true; my sarcasm hopefully comes across, Mike is an even keeled fan and is very gracious in victory or defeat., we could all learn a lesson or two the way he conducts himself.

Doug is a strait up ballbreaker.........he's from the Left Coast, but has a **** ton of East Coast in him................................

I like Durant and I was glad when he helped the Warriors win in 2017 and 2018.

However I like the 2015 Warriors Championship the most. They did it with 3 core players (Curry, Thompson and Green) that they drafted and developed. No big name free agent signings, just homegrown talent.

I caught a few minutes of the Lakers-Mavericks game and was amazed at how much the Lakers changed personnel after winning the championship just a few weeks ago. I didn't recognize most of the players. A bold move. Hopefully it pays off with #18.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis are the only pieces that matter.

Unless one of those 2 go down to a significant injury their 18th Championship is guaranteed.

Everyone else on that team is irrelevant, any NBA player could fill their roles.

I think that Montrezl Harrell and Dennis Schroder were great acquisitions for the Lakers and make them a stronger team than last year.

That is so heartwarming to read.

So the team that annihilated the league last year like Panzers rolling through Europe circa 1939-1940 got better then.

Good to know.

not a Lakers fan, just like watching good athletes. I’m all in with the Nets this year, our families are from Brooklyn.
Sports are a business!

I'm in with the Nets too; two of my favorite NBA players on the same team, the Celtics were morons for giving up on Irving, the guy who replaced him is terrible, Durant is a stone cold killer, if the two of them stay healthy, they are the only team IMO than has a shot at beating the king and his court.

the more I read about this trade...
the consensus forms that Brooklyn mortgaged the farm in the Harden trade...
fans may be happy for a couple of years...
but they gave up...
3 unprotected first round picks...
and four unprotected swaps through 2027...

Harden...Irving and Durant will also be pretty old by NBA standards by then...

Surprised at how easily the Lakers beat the Bucks last night. They are now 8-0 on the road. The first time in their history they have started season with eight road wins. AD isn't even playing all that well. So far so good.

LeBron put up 46 points last night and the Lakers are now 10-0 on the road. But the Clippers are keeping pace.

I haven’t followed the NBA much since the downfall of the last 2 home built franchises, Golden State and San Antonio.

I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw the recent basketball headlines. They focused on Durant’s return to Golden State this weekend.

Durant returns to an arena void of fans against a team that only has 2 active players left from the last last time he played in Oakland, and oh yeah, his former team now plays in San Francisco. With those numbers you’d think his last game with the Warriors was more than 5 years ago. Nope, it was in 2019.

I have been watching the Lakers quite a bit...
as a late West coast game...
they seem to be on tv even more than last year...

they usually get behind early...
sometimes 20 points...
like last night...
and the rally in the 3rd...
and win in the 4th...
Schroeder...Harrell and Kuzma seem to be good role players...
Marc Gasol looks terrible...
I miss Howard...at least he got some rebounds and played with energy...

they meet the Jazz (21-5) in a few weeks...
who lead the Western Conference...
which should be a good watch...
it's on ESPN...
