If all the cards fall correctly in this chaotic playoff, there is a chance that two #11 seeds (Syracuse and Loyola-Chicago) could play for the title. As it stands, Duke is now the favorite to take it all. What is Duke going to do when Coach K packs it in? -- Al
Not a Duke fan, huh, and probably don't have a poster of Christian Laettner either. I'm an ACC fan from back in the 60's, a UMd grad (Go Lefty and Gary!), and despite UMd bailing on the ACC, the ACC is still the best B-ball in the US, year in, year out. Bit of a soft year for them but still got 3 teams into the Sweet 16, (Duke, FSU, and Clemson). So, go ACC! -- AlI have a few suggestions as to what Duke can do. Colorful suggestions, filled with spicy sentence enhancers. {sm4} Go Canes!
I had Virginia losing in the second round, (or was it third?). Despite their unbelievable ACC record, I knew they had a fatal defect. Without ACC refs, they are unable to hand check, hook, run over pics, and absolutely maul offensive players. That, and the fact they cant score over 50 points, is fatal in the Tourney. When they played us (we lost 48-40), the Miami players had to wear MeToo shirts, because they were absolutely physically harassed.
UNC surprised me. But....young team. How about Free Shoes beating Xavier? Unbelievable. Only Satan had FSU making the S16. A victory for the dark side.
Duke really has a chance. But that **** Nova team. They play like a pack of foreign devils! Im calling Nova taking it.

Sure did forget Syracuse. So many changes in conference alignments the last several years that I have lost track of who is where.:redface2:I'm lucky, I am close enough to go see a lot of games. I miss hated Maryland for football. We used to play them back when I was there (80's) and the games were usually nasty. When you took a one point lead in '11, Golden's first game for us, I wrote off Folden, and joined with a few others to start the aerial banner fund
You forgot Cuse in the S16 as well (Maybe the B East thing threw you off? )
Yes, top to bottom, I'd say the ACC is tops year in and year out (Duke and UNC alone are title contenders every year)
Weird, FSU and Cuse were I think 8th and 10th in the conference, LOL.
Lots of parity. UM beats VT by one last game of season, goes from 8th to finish 3rd, UNC goes from 3rd to 6th with a loss, and GT falls from 5 to 9th.

As a Cane alum, certainly you must remember UMd's proudest moment in football, the 1984 game where UMd trailed 31-0 at the half but won the game 42-40. UMd football has had few enough good memories that this one is still the highlight.
ACC always seems to put 4 teams in the Sweet 16. They are to NCAA basketball what the SEC is to NCAA football. -- Al
I think Kentucky has one of the easiest paths to the Final Four. The Wildcats have beaten two double-digit seeds already and they will not face a team seeded lower than seventh until the Final Four with Kansas State (9), Nevada (7) and Loyola-Chicago (11) left in the South.

Well, yeah NOW that Arizona and Virginia have been beaten. ^&cool It started as one of the more difficult brackets. They should make it now. Funny, a few weeks ago people were down on the team and Cal when they lost 4 straight, wondering if they would even make the tournament. Now they have won 9 of the last 10 and the SEC Tournament. Chris
For whatever reason Calipari coached teams seem to do much better when they are not weighed down by expectations.
Tough loss for Kentucky but when you get down by 11 early and Washington hits less than 50% from the foul line, a loss can’t be unexpected.
Yeah, PJ lost the game the game for them. Whole team played poorly. Chris
I will admit to not watching a lot of college basketball this year but, aside from his foul shooting, PJ Washington looked like an impressive player. Let's hope he returns to Kentucky next year.
Well Kentucky being out sucks for me, my favorite college team, my second favorite team Michigan played lights out last night, I'm still alive in both of my pools as I picked with my heart and have them winning it all in both of them.
If they get knocked out, that's all she wrote for me, none of the other remaining 11 teams capture any sort of interest from me.
One and done has basically ruined college basketball; good effort, good job NCAA, they could screw up a one car funeral.
My bet is that he is going to declare for the draft.
