NCAA Basketball (2 Viewers)

From what I read this morning, another year would serve him well.

I'm off to the Garden to see Villanova/WVU and then Purdue/TT; the only bracket that is not in complete shambles.

I'm still in the running in both pools, have Michigan winning it all in the two of them, so we'll see how it shakes out.

Should be a fun night, zero rooting interest, just want to see two good games.................

I’m not really in the running in mind but somehow I’m in 28th place. An amazing improvement.

WVU played 'em tough.

Hope your Purdue game isnt a snoozer :)

Down to the Elite 8, I've still got Michigan, Kansas, Duke and Villanova in both of my pools, they were all ranked top 8 this year. Texas Tech was 14th; Florida State, Kansas State and Loyola were not top 25 teams, as in unranked, which shows how random basketball is. Hoping for a Michigan/Villanova/Duke/whoever final 4 to keep things interesting. Hard to fathom you'll have either a 9 or 11 seed in the final four, but it is that it is, imagine if it ended up being Michigan/Villanova/Duke/Kentucky, that's a ratings dream, but it's not going to happen................

I only have Villanova, Duke and Michigan left but only Nova going to the final 4. My other picks were Virginia, Cincinnati and Xavier. Pffft ^&grin

I'm hoping Loyola gets through. I think they have a good shot.

Thanks, Miami. It's their fault for this Loyola travesty. Perhaps the Canes should have focused on fundementals like not dribbling out of bounds, instead of wearing #MeToo shirts at a Joe Biden rally.

Yeah, I'm bitter. And Free Shoes is just sticking it to me....

What a great story. Go Ramblers! I’m sure most of America except for the fans of the other teams will be rooting for them.

I hope they suffer the trials of the danned for eternity!

:)

At least Free Shoes lost.

Michigan advances, my pick to win it all in both of my pools. Have them, Duke, Villanova and Kentucky in one, Michigan, Kansas, Villanova and Kentucky in the other, so I am in pretty good shape, will see how things go.

Not only was Loyola not in the top 25, most books did not have them making the tournament at all.

With my **** luck, they beat Michigan and then get demolished by either Villanova, Duke or Kansas.

They have Sister Jean on their side so you're in trouble. Don't mess with the Almighty!

Perhaps you're right. The Canes wore £MeToo shirts at a Biden rally, and it seemed like some sort of external intervention caused our collapse in the last minute against Loyola. :D

Probably end up rooting for Loyola for now on.

Anyone see "MindBrain" Hamilton's coaching in the last minute against Michigan? LOL! That was what we dealt with when he was our coach for a decade. :)

Hate to say, but I MUST root for Duke. Hate Duke, but Kansas I loathe! Going back to when the refs carried them over Indiana and Arkansas over 20 years ago, plus....Roy Williams. :)

Watched ND beat UConn in the women's tournament. UConn loses in OT in the Final 4 for the 2nd consecutive year, 91-89. All I can say is that the 'luck of the Irish' is no myth. ND had a 5 point lead with 21 seconds left in regulation but blew it and the game went to OT. ND had a 5 point lead in OT with 43 seconds left but blew that lead as well. ND then hit a shot with 1 second left on the clock to take the 91-89 lead but UConn still had a chance as their length of the floor pass was completed and a decent, short 2-point shot attempt was gotten off only to bang off the rim at the buzzer. ND earned the win against formerly undefeated UConn, but not without the 'Luck of the Irish'. -- Al

I watched the second half and I was amazed that ND blew a five point lead in regulation with 20 or so seconds to go and then UConn had an easy shot to win it but missed. Great game.

So it's down to Michigan/Villanova. According to the guy running my pool, I'm the only one who's got these two in the final. It's up to Michigan to win me two grand, not to mention prevent another championship in Philly.

That said, Villanova is a lock now.....................

Ughhhhh...... I so hate the Walmart wolverine fans going nuts right now. Hate to root against you George but I'm hoping for another Chris Webber timeout and a Villanova victory.

Good luck, George. Two grand is nothing to sneeze at, hope you win it. I will watch with no emotional stake involved. Can't root for either team. That Fab Five publicity machine from the early 90's so irritated me that I can't root for anything involving Michigan, in any sport. No fan of 'Nova either. So George, I'll root for you to win the money and a good game to watch. -- Al

I thought the Fab Five was a great story, if you've ever seen the 30 for 30 on them, none of them wanted the publicity, it was annoying to all of them, to have 5 freshmen like that was incredible, too bad they never one a championship.

With my luck in non Boston sports, I'm doomed, but happy to be the only MI person left in the pool. It's like a few years ago when CT won it; my friends son was the only person who had them winning it, he went to CT, so picked with his heart and not his head and won the 2K...............

I have Villanova winning it all and think they will win it all; they have been one of the top teams all year. Moreover, I’m a fan of the Big East and they are a somewhat local team so I hope they win it tomorrow.

George,

Good luck, maybe Michigan will pull the upset, I am still po'd they sent FSU home, but I am not a Nova fan, so would be nice to see them upend them!
Tom
