New Figarti grey Tiger & winter T34 (2 Viewers)

This only refers to WWII

Could this be the answer to the endless and fruitless "My favorite manufacturer" discussions.

Maybe it is that the various companies have different objectives to appeal to various tastes.

K&C is the most traditional manufacturer and they still carry a little Toy Soldier flavor in their products.

The Collectors showcase is Big and they are the only manufacturer that trys to address the figure to AFV size ratio.

Thomas Gunn sits square in the middle with compatibility with K&C but a little better detail.

And FL and Figarti try to capture more of the modeler types. FL takes this concept the furthest, but Figarti has greater compatibility with similar objectives.

John Jenkins does not do much WWII, but I would put them in the modeler category also.

Does this make any sense. Alex

Makes alot of sense{bravo}}....Excellent Post....Personally I would have to say that although I finally chose the Figarti Grey Tiger it was a close decision....K/C's Grey Tiger looks like a decent, well done effort....I may re-consider purchasing it in the near future to add to my older K/C grey early FOB war items....I don't like the rear canabilzed stowage bin and would like to see a little more photo-etch details added to their tanks especially in regards to the exhaust screens..I am also glad that they did not clutter the Grey and Winter Tiger with Logs and bags, barrels and other clutter as they did with the Snow Tiger (Too Much Stuff).....The missing fender is a good touch......Actually all the manufacturers seem to be raising the bar.....Its a good time to be a collector....MANY CHOICES... but unless you have deep pockets you can't collect everything.....We all move our collections in the direction that suits us and in the direction we can afford

Just received the tanks today. Below are some quick pics. They both look very very nice to me
especially the winter T34

Can't WAIT to get mine. This might even call for the {gulp} sawing in half of a FL turret fig

Nice....Good old Figarti is really hitting the nail on the head as of late. Alex

I was considering the same thing{eek3}....But it may only be necessary to adjust the width of the base of the FL figure.....

Very Well Said{bravo}}

This best manufacturer thing has caused a lot of problems on the forum and I think we are all guilty. Then it came to me one day ....... I know what I like and why I like it and I cant see why so and so likes X or Y manufacturer, that is their choice, but it might not be mine. And you want to tell them so bad, cant you see this is better, but they dont think the way you do. And I guess that is what makes the world go round.

I have now formulated my collecting guidelines and I know exactly how I am approaching things, you will more or less see my favorites in future scenes done by BSP . Alex

Yes Sir....The Figarti Winter T-34 is superb.....Excellent Weathering....Very Realistic....Hope they decide to do the proto-type T-34 as well....Figarti has really raised the bar on AFV's with this one.

Totally agree. This T34 is so nice. I've been thinking about getting another one before they're all gone ^&grin .
Yes I do hope they go ahead and make the bedsprings T34 as it's a must have for me as well; And down the road
I also hope Figarti will be making the KV-1, KV-2 and other popular Russian armors for the collectors.

I just got my T-34, all I can say is WOW. I have always liked Figarti Armor, but their latest stuff is going over the top. They are starting to remind me of my old 1/35th scale models. Alex

Someone here posted a photo of the early Tiger tank a while back. It's the exact same model make by Figarti ^&grin

the one thing bugging me is the choice of headgear for the grey panzer crewmen. The baseball cap is too much a 1944 onwards look. Maybe as early as Kursk if we have to have it, but I'd rather have the standard grey or black service cap

for a change I would also like to see no headgear plenty of pictures in dry weather showing crew without any. A little variation would be something nice to see
