As painted with that yellow cowling band that plane should be in the southern Germany sector, not Normandy.

Yes, thats what I want to talk to Tom about...

His "Normandy" version is the wrong camo type for a Fw-190A-3 version.

The scheme thats shown on his site and here was flown by Gruner Minkel in Czechoslovakia in 1945...and was a Fw-190F-9.

I'm sure he'll fix this....

I am overwelmed at how good this plane looks, the wire is a nice touch:)

I have seen the photos in large close up...and you won't believe the details on the paint weathering & markings....

Nothing even comes close to the details.....

These birds need some minor tweeking on the way the marking are painted...and you know Tom will go the extra mile to get it right ;)

Based on the little bits I see I beleive it!

Photos of the 2 proposed colour schemes will be appearing on our website over the weekend. I can confirm that the second colour scheme will be a tropical version to fit in with the crew figures. These pictures are only for reference as the actual finished model will vary slightly but it does give you a good idea of what's coming! I have asked Ixec to post the pictures on the forum at his earliest convenience. Lets hope he's not in a bar somewhere this Saturday afternoon or it could be a long wait!

Kind Regards
Tom

Nice looking model(s), but I was wondering if any of the versions you are releasing were the mounts of famous pilots?

I ask this because like most collectors I have limited space for 1/30 sized aircraft and therefore I am really only interested in buying fighter aircraft that were piloted by famous aces.

You can always repaint them....

I am curious why there was such a hurry to show the pictures (Normandy Version)? In this case, the rush resulted in an incorrect camouflage/marking scheme for the German warbird. There is no doubt that the aircraft itself looks stunning but I would much rather have waited to see the correct historical finished product. If the finished version is accurate I would love to have one in my collection.

Tally Ho,
Beaufighter

I like the positive thinking and play on words as his (Gunn Team) past releases have demonstrated an emphasis on artistic design and historical accuracy. I hope his Squadron Mates help him reach his target and complete the mission!

Looks nice and hope they get it right. Since they're pre-production samples, that shouldn't be a problem. I would also like to see closeups. I suppose Rob will be taking excellent photos at the Show next weekend.
