I think these polls are a bit of a problem. There is so much stuff out right now, that most of us cannot really keep up.
So these sort of wish lists cannot really be realistic.
How many of us would actually get heavily into Ancients, Spanish Civil War, Aztecs, etc etc when we are already over committed. It is a bit like the dispatches each month when everyone goes on about how they are going to pre-order the whole lot times three for a dio etc etc. How many of those enthusiastic posts actually translate into a sale is a bit unclear. I realize we are all excited and sometimes we let our imaginations run away but get real.
As Matt says he will make what he likes well and trust that quality will make us buy it.
I cannot believe that there is much room for new WWII stuff. Just about every aspect of that conflict seems to have been covered by now and covered well. The FL Stalingrad stuff is top notch and the Eastern Front is probably the last major untapped theatre of that conflict.
We are currently so spoiled for choice right now, that I actually dread new release information as it is usually some stunning piece that I doubt I will ever be able to add to my collection.
Bring back the old approach of Trophy where notging was ever deleted. So you could always come back to it years later if the piece still appealed to you. None of this pressure of retirements or limited numbers.

I voted for World War II under 'Other' (no surprise there :D ). There are literally hundreds of WWII vehicles (soft and armored) and weapons that haven't been made in 1/30 scale. Figarti etc have proved that many collectors are keen to add new and or improved WWII models to their collections at around the $200 price point.

Perhaps Spitfrnd should have put a "Figarti Vehicles" selection into the poll?

Thankfully, there are also many collectors keen on buying higher end stuff at higher prices as well. If there weren't, we'd be out of business, yet here we are trucking along quite nicely. ;)

Shooting myself in the foot here, but just you keep that "higher end stuff" at the present "higher prices" - and I'll be a very happy camper First Commissar.

Cheers

Maybe so, but I bet most collectors would be keener on higher end stuff at lower prices ;)

I'm sure they'd also be keen on free gas at the pumps, no more income tax, the elimination of worldwide VAT tax, and a whole slew of other things too...;)

Matt,if i'm not upsetting anyone here, can i ask what the timeline is for your next piece of armour?.The Stug looks very nice indeed and i'm just wondering if the following vehicle would be Russian or German?.

Are you kidding Damian  You only have to check the wide variety of 1/35 scale WWII kits in Hobby stores to discover that 1/30 manufactures have barely scratched the surface.

While I agree with you to a certain extent Damian, I tend to enjoy looking in on these polls. They can attract some very unrealistic responses, indeed extremly odd ones, at times.
:confused::confused:

PS. I hope you escaped from your recent excursion to the "Misty West" with your wallet relatively unscathed from the attentions of the native population.
:)

Thanks Rob, glad you like the Stug. Alas, the timeline for our next piece of "armor" will be for the period 1812-1815.

Oh, sorry... if you meant our next WWII AFV, that will be sometime later this year and you'll just have to wait patiently to see what it is. It's very nice though. ;)

I think this is a dead giveaway for what's next in the Napoleonic range Matt.
I assume they'll be mounted then? - yeah on horses I mean?

As for the next WWII FAV, I'd love to see a PzIII done in the FL style.

Cheers

Is it? You never know Harry, it could be a 1/27th rider on a 1/32nd horse. Stranger things have happened.

Agincourt, a vote for the Hundred Year war. I was surprised to see I was the only one with late middle ages as a first choice. Aeroart and St. Petersburg's companies have made many beautiful medieval figures, but at exorbitant prices. Only a very few can afford dioramas of $130+ foot figures with $400+ mounted knights. Also, Aeroart figures are not built for placing in groups or dioramas. They are meant to be displayed individually. They seem to be selling pretty well though …

Many manufactures have also done them in plastic or non-detailed metal, but the choice is either low quality or very high price. I collect based on historical interest and display value. Very few toy solider displays more impressively than a high quality done late middle ages knight. A few St. Petersburg companies do have mini-dioramas with about 3-6 figures that go together, but nobody has tried it with large scale groupings like FL can do. It will be interesting to see them try!

Operation Archery for me,Vaasgo raid 1941.And as a back up Agincourt.:)

The British in Burma would also be a great range.

I very much like the knights; in fact, they got me into collecting these figures. The knights of the middle ages do suffer from one problem from a collecting perspective. If you show them in combat, they are mostly faceless, hidden behind their visors. To me that would be a bit of a waste of the sculpting talent at FL. That is, in part, why I chose the Spanish / Moorish and Britain / Saxon conflicts. They both had knights but mostly with revealed faces to better appreciate how nicely these figures can be done by FL.

Or could be Russian Life Guards:D
It's about time for the French cavalry to make an appearance though. I know that Cuirassiers are in the gallery but Carabiniers would a be very nice addition;)

Gasp - This must be code for an oversized figure and an undersized vehicle?
Aye, mind you, others have got away with it for years, why shouldn't FL have a go at taking the collecting community for a ride as well? As far as I can see - we mostly deserve it anyway.

You can fool most of the people some of the time, but some of the people, you can fool all of the time.

Good thought, that may be one reason K&C went with Crusaders instead of Late middle Age. Though, I am partial to the 1400 - 1500c elaborate armor and weapontry. How about removable helmets or visors that raise like they did on some Aeroart figures? FL did one NAP with a removable cape. If not, a fully helmet figure might cost a little less since it will be easier to paint. Also, I believe through my historical readings that full helmets (with full plate armor) were the exception, not the rule, during the 100 year war due to their high cost and weight. So, any depiction of a 1400's battle will only have a few figures with their faces completely covered.
